Glad your happy, I've got so many projects of my own without work for others, it was highly unlkely I would have ever done anything with it. I never told Sybil she was getting a name call, she was over the moon, many thanks. Shes been feeling under the weather this week with this flu like cold thats going around. She said she is looking forward to seeing get the engine running
Hi Man Cave, Your a very lucky Man to be gifted a Villers Mk12, They are a bloody good engine get it restored ASAP 🔧🧰🇬🇧👍🏻and a shout out to James for sending it to you
Well Adam that's a generous gift bet it's not long before it's on the bench getting the Man cave treatment. Look forward to seeing what you do with it. Lol
Is that a Fenner 'Torque Arm' reduction unit? It looks like something that might have come off a bale elevator on a farm, but the dual speed pulley wouldn't altogether sit right with that. Intriguing, and I'd agree, definitely worth restoring in its own right.
Tale I was told, it came off a bale elevator when the machine was converted to run off an electric motor. My friend who's scrap heap I rescued it off may have fitted the pulley as he used the engine after it was made redundant,
@@James_Rivett I did wonder about that. With that in mind, it would certainly fit the bill. We had a similar arrangement on our elevator, but it never got converted to electric because it was also used to pile up the spuds and sugar beet, and leccy juice wasn't available, and wouldn't have been advisable. It'll be nice to see it live again!
Well the comment below is all I know aswell. I would not mind betting that thing will probably run if cleaned and reassembled. Cylinder certainly looks good. 👌
@@NorfolkMancave At the very least you have a decent block to build up another engine if anything went wrong with the one on the Atom. Do you suppose you might just have enough bits to build up a second Atom? Have one for trucking, and one to keep as a garden tractor?
Been watching your startomatic gen set videos from last year did you ever getting it to produce power? I have the same set up on a trolley startomatic lister ld1 really clean all round original paint .. engine starts first turn but makes no electric sadly 😢 willing to sell it pretty cheap if your interested could be an easy fix! 🤷♂️
1000/6 is 166 infinitely recurring. (You'd better hope that Mrs was doing pilates rather than karate. The difference is that pilates only hospitalises oneself)... Nice present. I got 7 pairs of socks. Nice ones...
Greetings from the states , I was researching on the villiers mk 12 , is it true that’s only about 1.5 hp , I see that’s why they have gear reductions , crazy!

Great vid, lovely engine Mancave👌
Yeah I like it. It seems a decent engine. Wonder why the head was off and carb messing 🤔. I love finding this stuff out.
@@NorfolkMancave ye its like a puzzle putting all the pieces together, should definitely get a tune out of it 👍🏻
How generous of them, I'm sure you can get her going without too many issues just gotta do some face space surfing for the parts lol 😆😆
Lol. Face space parts indeed. 🤣🤣🤣 Think she will be a good old engine.
I bet this is one video you don't want Mrs mancave to see.🤣🤣
