0:25 What Makes This A Golf Shoe?
0:50 Overview of Materials
1:02 What Else is Included With These Sneakers?
extra pair of blue laces, nike golf card
1:12 My Personal Experience with Golf...
I am a beginner lol. I just started playing about 1-2 years ago, so please keep that in mind as I share my thoughts on the performance aspect of these shoes.
1:37 Pros
1:40 Pro #1 - It's an AJ1, Of Course
It's an AJ1, What Else? But really, given the minimalistic properties of the shoes, they can definitely double up as a casual sneaker. You can wear these of course, for golfing as they were designed, but they can also be worn casually out in the community - to run errands, go out, etc. - on asphalt, and they have the comfort and function of a casual walking sneaker as well.
2:26 Pro #2 - Water and Sand Resistance?
Are these shoes water-resistant? Yes
Do these shoes do well in dirt and sand? Yes
The materials of the upper seem to resist water pretty well. As long as you do not step in any deep puddles, ponds, lakes... as long as the water does not submerge over the tongue, the upper for the most part, will resist water and it will roll right off. Same with granules of sand - will not penetrate through the perforations.
3:22 Pro #3 Why The Choice of Leather Works Well
The upper is made of a nice and smooth synthetic leather, which is great because it makes them easy to clean. Dirt marks, grass, mud, etc. will be easy to come and wipe off.
4:23 Pro #4 The Functionality of the Toebox
The toebox was great for forefoot performance; the perforations helped with breathability, the synthetic leather was soft and flexible, and this also helped with making them easy to clean, and it doesn't make the creasing factor as evident as say other cheap leathers would.
Do these sneakers crease? Yes, but nowhere near as bad as other cheaper jordan 1 low models.
4:58 Cons
5:01 Con #1 - Sizing...
Are these true to size? I would say for the most part, YES, TTS. Except, that they run just a VERY SLIGHTLY long, at least compared to my casual jordan 1s. They still fit TTS for casual wear, but when it comes to performance, i was getting a slight increase in friction over the ball of my right toes, especially if i don't lace my shoes all the way tight. You will really need to tighten these up for proper lockdown, stability, and to minimize friction injuries.
6:25 Con #2 - How Comfortable Are These Shoes?
Are these shoes comfortable? Yes and No. They aren't bad, but they aren't great either. Very average to say the least. Leather on the upper is flexible, which is a plus. But the midsole is fairly firm and stiff. Didn't bother me much from a walking standpoint, but just don't be expecting to be wearing clouds on your feet lol.
7:13 My Overall Thoughts
Do I recommend these shoes? Kind of...
If you're just a casual golfer that are just looking for some stylish shoes to play in, then sure, they'll be fun to own.
However, I do not recommend these if you are trying to find actual golf shoes that will enhance your game.

Good info, there's some aj1 golf colorways that caught my eye but was hesitant to buy because I dont play golf but will reconsider now
Great video 👍👍
It's too bad that they aren't especially helpful for playing golf, but boy are those some great looking sneakers. Also, that last swing . . . I see you, Dang! 🔥
Well done mate. i have the black and white with copa and the triple whites. these are next on the list. enjoy the golfing jounery my friend.
Nice! I’ll have to check those out, they look great. Thank you for stopping by 🙏
great detailed review ✅ one thing that i was waiting for you to comment is the low profile tongue of the shoe as compared to an OG Jordan 1 Low, i think the Golf version resembles the retro look which is way neater and cleaner 🙌🏻
Thanks for covering my bases haha, yes I agree 💯 the retro look is definitely neater and a great design choice on Nike’s end
Does the golf version have an air tank on the sole?
I feel like I’m under qualified to even consider buying a golf shoe😂 but that colourway and especially the colour blocking 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥
I don’t golf but after this review I want these just to go to top golf. Great color way! Have you tried adding an insole to offset the size issue?
I have not, but if you’re just gonna play top golf or driving range casually, then you should be fine really . My blistering problem was pretty minimal and only came on towards the end of a long day of 18 holes. As long as you lace up you should be fine going TTS 👍 thanks for watching !
I have 4 of the colourways in this shoe, love them, but if I wanna play some competitive golf I use my G/Fore MG4+ shoes. Night and day difference on comfort
those do look very nice! I’m going to have to try those out for myself 👍 thanks for sharing !
I got these shoes for when I play golf on nice days. I live in Oregon so when it’s more wet I play with my ACG Mountain Flys low. I like these shoes for the nicer days tho. Look good play good.
I’m gonna have to try out those ACG mountain fly lows in general one of these days, they look like a cool outdoor shoe haha
After wearing my Jordan 1 Golf's for a few days casually, I've decided I won't be buying them anymore for casual wear. Although the fit itself is comfortable, you can definitely feel the raised tread every time you take a step. I added cushioned inserts and it did not help. I wore a golf on one foot and regular Jordan 1 on the other foot and there was a big difference in feel with every step.
Yeah I agree, they’re not a pair that I would wear to around all day in on the streets, they feel better on grass and golf courses haha . Maybe just for a quick errand or something, but nothing more than that
I find my socks getting damp on the bottom in wet conditions, and I'm not talking about rain either - like early morning tee times after they watered the course but before the sun bakes the water off. It's very annoying, but they are very comfortable, a lot more than my waterproof Footjoys.
Very interesting because I do not have that problem , although I admit I don’t go out to play that early enough to catch the moisture from the mildew . I can see that being an annoying problem though. The footjoys look sleek too, but great to know they’re not as comfortable . Thanks for the comment !
I want to get the new Eastside Golf Jordan 1 Highs they have this same traction on bottom. I want for daily use I don't Golf do you think they will be OK? I can't believe no one has reviewed them yet on UA-cam
You can get away with wearing these as normal casual shoes on the street, you just might feel the traction a little more than the typical jordan 1s tho
@@kickitwithdang hopefully the full length zoom helps 👍
I’ve got a few golf shoes. These are more comfortable than Nike janosky in the same size. They also fit slightly bigger than the janosky which is maybe why I’m more comfortable. By far my most comfortable golf shoes are Ecco. Beyond that I had some adidas I ended up selling cuz they fit too tight.
I’m gonna have to try some Eccos out. Thanks for the insightful comment!🙏
Can u let me know what is the hat you are wearing?
It’s called the old golfer SnapBack by new era
I wish these had a bit more heel support. If these had a thicker heel area like the SB dunks it would level it up. You are 100% right that it's AJ1 low with a markup and a slight traction change. The 13s as golf shoes are incredible though
Agree with the heel and rear foot support haha, and I’m also a fan of the 13s, so I’d definitely like to try the golf version one day. Thanks for stopping by!
I wear size 10 for a regular air jordan low. Would you recommend size 10 for golf air jordan as well? I figure I could wear thick socks for the golf shoes.
I went 1/2 size down specifically on the golf version only. I went and tried some on at golf Galaxy to be sure..
@@JohnK222inf Thanks. What if I wear them on a daily basis and not for golfing?
@@jasonkang7661 No reason why not, they just have a little more tread on the bottom
TTS works for me personally, I rock 9.5 for all AJ1s including OG, non-OG, and Golf. And yes you can wear them as regular daily shoes if you don’t mind a little extra tread underneath 👍
Nice
I just got these in Golf shoes, same color. I am a true to size 9 and I thought a 8.5 was big. So I went 8. Waiting for the 8 to be mailed by Nike.
I’ve tried normal footwear of Nike Dunks & Jordan 1 Low, both 9 and felt too big.
Got them in! The size 8 was perfect!
If you have more narrow feet, I can see how sizing down would be beneficial. TTS worked for me with a slight bit of wiggle room
@@kickitwithdang that was how my 8.5 felt, glad I found a size! Probably will try to snag a few more if I can
Is this only for golfing?
You can do short casual walks in these , but I wouldn’t walk around all day on asphalt or concrete in them
Nice swing dude
Thanks brah, I learned it from you actually
they are tts?
I just got a pair and they run big for sure. I’d size down a half size.
Those may get a bump after Michael Block wore those in the PGA last weekend. That's why I am here.
Not sure why I saw this comment so late haha. But yeah that’s awesome! Just read up on Michael Block, a cool story indeed
It's just the name and style, definitely not for true golfers.
So you’re saying Tony Fenau, Justin Rose and Keegan Bradley from the PGA tour who wear this shoe are not true golfers? Got it 👍
Ultraboosts probably. Super comfortable sneaker to play golf in.
That will definitely be my next pair to try 👍
Not good golf shoes.
You need to take lessons bro. The blister isn’t because of the shoe. It’s your swing.
Your golf footwork looks bad though lol
For only a couple years he’s not bad at all…
