- Here is my take on the Simgot Supermix 4. These are a "Quadbrid" and use a Dynamic driver, Balanced armature, Planar and Piezo driver per side.

Thanks for the review. I've been waiting for this. There's something I want to ask you in particular. I'm likely to order this set in a few days. I don't have a proper dongle and I'm thinking of ordering the Fiio KA11. You've shared a detailed review of it before. It is said to be a bit warm dongle in general. Which seems to match well with the tonal character of the SM4. Have you tried these two together? Do you think it would be a good match or should I look for something else?

I appreciate your review many thanks, simgot allways seem to be harman tuned,bright sounding with a lack of midbass but have great technicalitys apart from the EM6L which i found overly smooth which seemed to blunt midbass impact but nice for treble sensitive folk and those who like warm sounding iems

Does anyone know the Nozzle Diameter size ?
I have the Quintet on my wishlist and wondering since these are designed like those but 70.00 cheaper, would it be the better pick or pay the 70.00 more and get the Quintet... oh the decisions... I want a pair that I would dedicate to Classical style music. The DaVinci do Classical very well so I'm not sure if I should even consider buying a set dedicated to Classical or not. Fantastic review!
The Quintet and the Supermix 4 have similar tuning. The Supermix 4 has slightly more mid bass tuck such that the Quintet is more even in the midrange. Both need a bit of parametric EQ to tweak them for classical music.

nice content, im on the fence of buying my first iem's, i listen a lot to jpop / pop and i game a lot too even tho im more of a story game player, but i do some fps too. im lost between those 2 since they are almost the same price: should i get truthear nova or supermix 4 ?

I downloaded and averaged several Supermix 4 graphs from squiglink. Your graph and others show that this is a bright leaning IEM with a bit too much of a mid bass tuck. This confirms your descriptions of the overall tonality. It appears that the Supermix 4 will take well to parametric EQ in order to tweak this IEM to your liking.

on your graph mids are higher than subbass, on the other graphs it is the opposite, is it brighter than ea500lm ?
It varies on people's setups and it sounds brighter than the EA500LM
Is the SuperMix 4 more detail sounding than ea500 lm? Would you consider this an upgrade from 500lm?
I have both, the Simgot SM4 is definitely a major upgrade over the EA500LM
They do have more detail indeed. An upgrade is something different.

Possibly. Both have very good tech.

Would you recommend the sm4 or novas for jpop?
I don't listen to that genre but both of these look like they should be fine for that but the Nova might edge it.
What is your recomended dac dongle for this supermix 4?
Hidizs ones seems to be fine.

I like my pr1 pro a lot. More than my s12 pro which is a little bright. You are going to like pr1 pro if you like plenty of sub bass rumble
I prefer the tuning of the MP145.

Depends on what you want? They have different tunings.
Everything is good always pretty good very good and is ok sometimes great „reviews”
This or CKLVX or Pula PA02?
Have not tried either of those models.
@@VortexReviews1the CKLVX D41 and the Pula PA02 are basically the same iem but the D41 is cheaper at 150$. I would also like to know how the D41 compares to the supermix 4. Both seem to be the best iems under 200$.

I see some people have different tuning on the EA500LM. Now I see it again in SM4. Your tuning is different from some people's, for example Aftersound Review. His has a slightly calmer/less upper mid and treble. I think Simgot should pay more attention to their QC.

I only trust HBB and Akros' graphs, unsure about the rest of you sorry

The sm4 is a little harder to drive when used directly to a laptop or smartphone, its the first iem that i dont enjoy using without a dac/amp

@@VortexReviews1 just leared about impedance of iems and output impedance of the source. It totally made sense to me now on what you said on the vid about supermix4 needing a low empedance power source
My only dac/amp dongle is a Shanling UA4 btw

@@VortexReviews1 my ua4 is very capable. Its just that the sm4 has very low impedance to begin with @ 7.2 ohms, and I just needed a lower output impedance to make the sm4 sound normal.

Good comparison but the Performer 5 went back long ago so I can't check it but going off the graph the P5 is a smoother listen and less detailed.
