Simgot SuperMix4 Review!!! "One Ring to Rule Them All!"

- The SuperMix4 is as good as it was hyped. It is a seriously well-balanced set with excellent techs and a nicely immersive soundstage. The comp with the Quintet was suggested by @Hijynx87 , so thank you very much for that! Needless to say, it held its own. With the addition of another set of tips and a 4.4mm Balanced cable option, this would be my IEM of the Year and it is only June! It will be in the final consideration regardless. Here is the link to buy it on AliExpress - there is not too much time left in the sale, but I am sure that it will go on sale again sometime this summer. For now, here it is:

My Supermix 4 is supposed to arrive tomorrow, according to USPS. I've been unpatiently waiting for a few weeks now. Nice review btw.
So when I was asked by DD-Audio to extend the shipping time, I played dumb. Well I was dumb because I could not figure out what they meant. The order was going to cancel the next day and magically, it shipped. 11 days from order to door. I know people have been waiting. I just got lucky.
@hazi5961 how do you like them?
@TheModeRed They are so-so. The upper mids/lower treble is a bit too much for my preferences. Still not bad for the price though.
Thanks for the candid review!
Just got my sm4! Right before I left to go “camping” aka a cabin in the middle of Wisconsin surrounded by a red pine forest.
@@Hijynx87 nice!!!
i have been hoping this one was awesome! glad to hear it!
Looks like a well deserved upgrade over the EM6L, a set that I really liked!
Oh I think you are right on target! Definitely a really good straight upgrade from the EM6L!
Yep my em6l has been dethroned thrice now in that sub $200…..well 4 times because of the sliivo. Doscinco and aful explorer are now my daily drivers. cklvx, sm4 and sliivo are the other 3 that bumped the em6l down from being the under $200 king for me. Still like it though, it’s pretty good for gaming…which I don’t really play competitive games anymore. Right now I’m just tip rolling on my sm4, using spinfit w1 atm.
@@Hijynx87 I need to get those.
@@Hijynx87 I’ve also tried the W1 on a couple of IEM but not a great fit to me as the material is too sticky. Not as smooth as other silicones and Divinus velvet line.
My Sm4 is about to arrive i could be more hype!! As you and other revieweres described it,, it looks like my endgame. Ty a lot
Hope you enjoy it!
This seems like a really good set! I don't own any Simgot iems yet. I was afraid to try them due to reviews saying they were notorious for harshness in the upper mids/ treble. However, looking at your graph this set appears to be a smooth sounding set! Thanks for the great review!
Yes, it is. I think they listened to the feedback coming from the community in general. Some people are not bothered by energetic ear gain and treble as much as others. But for once, a company seems to have paid attention. It is an exceptional set and that has everything to do with the balance and smoothness of the tuning.
I cannot wait for the SM4 to arrive at my door step! Super hyped!
Simgot nailed it with this set. Enjoy them!
@@BassDad8 also amazing review man! Thank you for your honest thoughts!
Nice, detailed and authentic, that really sums up the review.
I will be waiting this time to be available at my location, after Da Vinci taking more than a month in Transit.
Really eager to review this one.
You’re absolutely right! I hope they get to you soon! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the DaVinci too!
@@BassDad8 Thank you, Though I meant those complements for you, Your reviews are very authentic.
Fo Davinci, Initial impressions are strong, especially the Build, best under $500. Will test it for one more week at least before putting review because the set has lot of depth into it.
@@treblewellxtendedRight back at you my new friend! Your reviews are excellent! Looking forward to getting the DaVinci in a couple of months!
HAHAHAHAH i like how that one chapter of the vid is called "Cant figure out how to insert the graph grrrr" 😆. keep adding easter eggs like this theyre hilarious, loved the review!
I’ll keep them coming for sure. It’s pretty spontaneous, and they don’t always “hit”, but you know I’ll keep dropping them in here and there! Thank you!!
My precious!!!!!!!
I'll have to look at this one in a future sale. Funds are currently depleted. 💸 I managed to grab both the og QoA Adonis and the ISN H30 this time around, though (as well as a couple of Xinhs 4.4 cables). Thank you for another great review! 👍
Well you won't have to wait too long for another sale. lol. Seriously it's like every month. I finished my buying with a couple of IVIPQ cables and my funds are shot as well. Saving for a couple of months so I can get the DaVinci. For now, I have plenty of sets to review... Too many sets to review, actually.
Hey, I forgot to mention that I bought the OG Adonis this time around too! And I got the Gimlet for $32 in blue. Both of those sets have cleared customs and should be here Wednesday. And I picked up 2 IVIPQ cables. This will be my first experience of aftermarket cables outside of the Tripowin stuff (and a Faaeal or two), so I am very excited to try them out. I have realistic expectations regarding improvements in SQ, but if I notice anything, I will consider that a win. If not, at least I will have two really nice-looking cables to put on my nicer IEMs. lol. ☮
@@BassDad8 I grabbed a NiceHCK copper cable in the last couple of hours of the sale as well. I've added a few more nice looking cables to my cart for the next time a sale rolls around too. I'm not sure how much the properties of cable composition have on the sound the iems emit and I think it might be difficult to predict, in any case, one to the next but I enjoy the visual beauty many of the cables have vs stock and I think it has a psychological effect on my final music enjoyment if nothing else (look good, sound good). 😁
After all the reviews I watched you put out lately, I will settle for this one for my next purchase. Whatever the hype is, if it's not approved by you then I will skip it!! hahaha
That’s amazing! Thank you and you will not be disappointed!
Hey bro, thanks for the great reviews you are doing, quality and sincerity, i love it, just was wondering :i purchased the artti T10 just a few days ago, before i had the Starfield and the Zero Blue but these blew my mind, are these still in your top 5?
Thanks again man, i appreciate it
Bless and Peace

Welcome into the fold Hollander! Yes. The T10 is always going to be in my top 5. The combination of sound quality and price is absolutely insane. Now that said, if we are talking straight up sound, then I can safely say it will always be in my top 10. But right now, it sits in the top 5. Every time I go back to it, it just reaffirms that it belongs there. Cheers!
@@BassDad8 yeah man, i was figuring the same, I've seen some of your recent reviews and these IEM'S are not bad either to say the least, but for it's price, darnnn
Thanks Mate
Bless Up
P. S I run them with an old Xduoo 3 v 2 with a Nice(hack} 😅c16-3 and Tri Clarion Tips and its absolutely fabulous
Thanks again
There is definitely an effect on perception of sound in human hearing range by sound outside of hearing range, speaks to attack and decay and perceived texture, the 23khz twang is part of the 16khz guitar note you can hear. Obviously the shape of the attack and decay is different if the note is highly extended.
Yes! That was what I was trying (and failing) to articulate! Thank you!
@@BassDad8 You are welcome!
Great review my friend. Do you have the Aful Explorer in your queue to be reviewed..?
Yes, but not in the near future. I’ve got a few on hand - Singolo, Medusa, Joyodio Shine and the EA1000 and Tanchjim Origin are coming from my buddy. Myer Audio is sending me the SL41 mk2 and Syeindunce has the Wyvern Abyss headed my way. Plus I ordered the Kefine Delci. So yes, it’s in the queue, but not for a while… jeez that’s a lot of IEMs! I’m going to be busy!
Are you going to upload your graphs to squig link? Would be nice to start having graph comparisons
That is the intention. I’m still working on some details. Like a logo and such, but yes I do plan on making a squiglink appearance at some point soon.
Great review, been looking for this comparison. Which set do you like more when listening to Boca?
Definitely the more dynamic sounding SuperMix4. The Quintet is no slouch, but Boca sounded amazing on the SM4.
@@BassDad8 Thanks for the input, I might consider getting the supermix 4 later on
Omg, I have super weird ear canals too. I THINK right side has a shorter/wider canal... not always left medium, right large, depends on the style of tip, still haven't figured it out. PITA😬
I "hear" that! LOL
I watched this a while back and forgot to comment. Since i did have the ea1000 i might be skipping this. but i'd really want a hybrid iem eventually :')
I have the EA1000 on loan and I’m really excited to check them out!
@@BassDad8 would love to hear your comments on it! :) hope you enjoy :D
Nice one Chris! Would this be a better all rounder than the Cklvx d41?
I’d say yes. Just because the D41 has noticeably more mid bass presence. So for an all rounder I’d take the SM4.
@@BassDad8 Thank you for the reply appreciate it. More power to you and to your channel Mr. Bangs!
Hi, i'm lost between those 3 at the same price : thruthear nova/supermix 4/pula pa02 or cklvx. I listen to jpop / pop and do some gaming. What should i get ? Can u please respond fast since i already ordered supermix 4 but after watching some other reviews say they are overhyped. I can still cancel my order. What do u think ?
No need to cancel. You got it right! Based on what you say you enjoy listening to as well as some gaming, the SM4 is your best bet out of those. The Nova is good too, but not as balanced or interesting as the Simgot. And I love the CKLVX/ Pula pa02, but perhaps too much mid bass for what you are looking for. Don’t worry about the naysayers. Some people just do that to differentiate themselves. The SM4 is a winner all around! Enjoy them!
Hey brother, thank u so much the review. My set is going to arrive next week.. but I just had a query.. in some review pages they said because of its low impedance the output impedance of the source should be this much and that and it alters the sound blah blah blah.. to me it's a bit confusing as am not much into these kind of in depth stuff.. but I do have Kiwi ears allegro, EPZ TP50 dongle DACs as my daily sources. Will these be enough to drive this IEM to its full potential?? Or will these impact anything in the sound signature?? I am a bit afraid that it may sound worse after reading all these source nd impedance stuff 😕 can you please share your thoughts, if you can help like what do you think nd what do you suggest?? Thanks in advance brother, have a great day..
My honest opinion is that any source with a little amplification is better than none. I don’t think the SM4 is super hard to drive and it sounded just fine on my Allegro. It’s easy to fall down that rabbit hole. I did. But when I used the $500 TA-22 is sounded a. Warmer and b. Louder. So yeah it’s not necessary to have a super powered Dac amp to drive it. I like what my Fiio K11 and Q3 do as much as I like my zendac2 and hipdac2 and I like to tell myself that the TA-22 makes a huge difference, but it doesn’t. If you find that the TPZ or Allegro aren’t pushing it enough, pick up a Q3. It’s older, but it has a THXAAA amp in it and I’ll bet you can get it for around $70 during AliEx sales. It’s $85 on Amazon right now. Look up the specs. There’s no better buy for an independently amplified Dac on the market right now. Or if you don’t want to deal with that, my guess is you’ll be fine with what you already have. ☮️
@@BassDad8 thank you so much brother for your response.. spent quite a lot on DACs already so if you say it works fine with what I have then I will follow that..
GREAT review thanks! You're really good at describing the sound! Gadgerytech mentioned some metallic timbre in the upper frequencies. Haven't seen anyone else saying that, something you noticed?
No. Not at all. A little sparkle and shine, but nothing metallic.
And thank you for your kind words and support!!
Hi mate. Can you do a comparison between sm4 vs cklvx d41? Both get high rating from you. I'm thinking to get either 1 of them
Hi! I am so sorry I missed your question! So between the two, the SM4 is more balanced and I would say just a little brighter than the D41. They are both technically very good. The D41 is just warmer and a little more musical, where the SM4 is cooler and more clinical. both are very good sets, but it will depend on your library and preferences as to which one will be better for you. The D41s bass is just soooo satisfying, but that is not for everyone's tastes. The SM4 is straight up neutral. Not boring, mind you, just balanced and neutral. Hope this helps, if I am not too late...
Ps. Entered you in the giveaway later today. Good luck!
@@BassDad8 thks for taking the trouble to reply my comment. Appreciate it! Just got myself SM4. Great iem at great price. I'm loving it
The supermix has inverted polarity. You can invert the insertion of your cable to fix it
Okay we have to chat about this! I just experienced that with a different set. Please tell me more about your super mix 4 experience! Mine is on loan to a friend at the moment.
@@BassDad8 so essentially, inverted polarity means the driver is pushing when it should be pulling and vice versa. If you take your iem cable, isolate where the 2 pin connection is, and connect after inverting the orientation (so that the earhooks hang out in front of you), it corrects the sound. In terms of sound change, I'll let you see for yourself. But it's a massive massive difference.
@@siddharthjaiman4712 I literally just had to do this with the Hakugei Anunnaki as it does not have ear hooks on its cable. Thought I was losing it for a second lol!!!
@@BassDad8 yeah. In terms of sound, my preliminary impression is that different elements of the mix get rearranged. For example, in London Grammers shyer, the correct polarity places the vocalist front and center, inverted pushes it back.
@@siddharthjaiman4712 I will have to check it out when I get my set back. But I do hear what you are saying. with the Anunachi, it was a lack of coherence... the left channel had the reversed polarity and I don't know how else to describe it, but it sounded off-set from the right channel. When I first connected the set, it was fine. Great actually, but then I removed the cable to take measurements with a non-fabric covered cable. When I put it back on, I must have reversed the polarity. Luckily, I figured out what was going on and rotated the connection pins 180 degrees as you said. What a difference! This is an unusual situation and I appreciate your insight. I will keep you posted when the SM4 returns.

As far as watching videos, I thought it helped with the algorithm? A creator I watched had to take medical leave and his supporters said to make sure to watch old videos and keep engaging in order to Keep his channel relevant on the ole algorithm. So idk 🤔
How would you compare this vs the Truthear Nova or the CKLVX(its currently goin for like 130-140 on hifigo) ?
It shares a lot in common with the tuning of the Nova, it’s just much more engaging and energetic. The CKLVX D41 would give it a run. The D41 has noticeably more mid bass presence and a warmer signature as a result. That would be more of a preference thing. But I’d take both over the very good Nova all day. Special sauce all over the SM4 and D41.
@@BassDad8Which one got more treble energy and extension between D41 vs SM4?
@@bettakl3430 SM4 4 Sho
can you do a quick comparison to EW200?
Aaah. No. Sorry. I don’t have it and I haven’t tried it. It is pretty bright from what I’ve heard and based on the 500 and LM, I believe it.
@@BassDad8 it is bright, thats why id like a comparison. I wonder if the SM4 is a god upgrade, looking for tamer treble and bigger bass.
@@SileDevil Then the SM4 is your ticket. Everything that I have heard about the EW200 is how good it is for the price, but how spicy and hot it is in the treble. The SM4 has got good energy and extension and pulls a hell of a lot of detail out of the minutiae, but it stays fairly smooth. Must be really good quality drivers in there to pull it off. I'd say you are more than safe getting it. Really, it is one of the best I have heard regardless of price (although for me that stops around $400).
Btw what's your favorite TMBTE track?
Ascensionism. Hands down. but I love The Summoning too. That was my intro to the band.
@@BassDad8 Yeah! Summoning seems to be a lot of peoples introduction to sleeptoken, mine as well. I like TMBTE itself; it's like a full course meal. Got a bit of everything in the track that I love.
@@deparoo Great analogy! It is like a full-course meal. Lots to dig into. ☮
how does it compared to arrti T10 ?
I love the T10. Where the SM4 out performs it is basically in the techs. It is a more detailed set with greater imaging accuracy, treble extension and a much larger soundstage. But the T10 is good at those things too, just not as prolific as the SM4. Few sets are under $200…
@BassDad8 Thanks! Considering the price difference, the T10 seems good enough. I'm not a fan of the Simgot treble, which is too harsh for me. I have the EW200, which also has too much treble, so I'm staying away from Simgot Harman-tuned IEMs.
If not mistaken, the next AE sales coming very soon
Yes. Definitely. They at least give people a chance to pay off their last credit card statement, if they can. lol. 😂
You are right 😂
Quartet. Not for me. At high volumes the dd driver spits vibration like a cheap driver. Simgot plays fast
