In my opinion (and I may be a bit biased since it's my favorite movie), A Night to Remember has the best opening scene of any Titanic movie. The whole idea is that the ship itself is the main character, so it makes sense to open with her "birth". I don't even care that the scene consists largely of stock footage of the Queen Elizabeth and that there's a christening that never actually took place. From a dramatic perspective, it's a hell of a way to kick off the movie, showing the ship's birth and ending with her death. The music also adds greatly to the scene, with the triumphant tones turning more foreboding as the titles appear, foreshadowing the ship's eventual fate which we all know will happen.
All that unnecessary analysis aside, I'm guessing tomorrow will be a video on Britannic's launch? Is there even enough media about Britannic's launch aside from the actual launch footage to make a comparison video?
Unfortunately no, I don't think Britannic's launch has been depicted all that much.
Neither Honor & Glory nor Titanic Animations have done videos for it, the only recreation I've found is from Blue Star Line, so I would really just be comparing that and the launch film. So no, no more plans for anymore launch comparisons, at least this year.
@@CaptainJZH That's fine, I understand. I figured there weren't many recreations of Britannic's launch anyway. Looking forward to the rest of what you've got planned this month, though!
The _ANTR_ intro music on UA-cam is strangely different from the version in the film; hmm….
@@Daniel_Huffman where on UA-cam?
@@CaptainJZH I searched "A Night to Remember Intro," and among the resulting videos was this:

Despite A Night to Remember inaccurately showing the ship being christened and Titanic: Birth of a Legend having that iffy looking green screen at 0:23, this is a nice comparison
Plus Titanic's promenade wasn't enclosed when the ship was first launched.
@@Tom8201 I did not know about that, thanks for telling
as far as I can recollect, there was no smashing bottle ritual
You should do titanic the grand staircase getting destroyed video.
That's coming soon!
