I was looking up to her because mostly I saw skinnier women in the media and seeing that a woman with her body type showed herself naked in front of the camera confused the hell out of me. I wasn’t built like the skinny girls so I thought I was fat. I looked back on the pictures of my 13 or 15 year old self and I wasn’t. My shoulders weren’t slim and my tummy not totally flat, but that was part of my body type that was just less represented. Kate Winslet may have prevented me being even harder on myself than I already was…

I remember when this movie first came out. There was a lot of talk in Hollywood about her weight. The critics literally called her fat, and the first time I saw the film I thought, "if she's fat, then I must be a cow!". Started a long journey of eating disorders that I still struggle with, even to this day. The film industry has been and always will be toxic.
and one more thing that in fact Leonardo also hated Kate's thick makeup in Titanic. Because during the kiss scene Kate's makeup will be erased and move to Leo's face 😅 and Leo said that Kate is his favorite kissing partner.
