Its always tough being an Ole Miss fan, we’ve learned to keep our expectations low. I agree this could be a winning season though, probably 8-4.

The players do not understand the scheme. The linebackers are not of the caliber of Alabama's linebackers. I think you know what I am talking about. @Dylan Thompson Kentucky won't finish 2nd in the east...4th if they're lucky. ppl are so high on UK but if you look at talent, the northern schools Mizzou n UK are in a different realm...and that's not a good thing. UK has overachieved w UT being down, but they still haven't done shit.
@Dylan Thompson I don't. But, I hope that Missouri and Kentucky are competitive. Recruiting the state of Ohio has not serve Coach Stoops well. He has not developed those players well and meshed them with the players from the south.

I really hope that the west is a strong competitive conference. Im an Alabama fan but I fully support our conference and I love kiff. Coach Freeze was a hell of a coach and I hated to see how that unfolded. Good luck, I hope Ole Miss has a great season. Beat State!!

Jordan love didn’t get a bunch of scrutiny as far as being a 1st round pick when he threw 20 touchdowns to 17 pics and corral did better in both of those categories.
All that matters is development potential and where the players ceiling is. Not numbers in college
@@zacharyspurlin957 100%. And corral plays in the SEC. that arm will get him enough buzz pre-draft to get drafted high no matter how many picks he throws.
That being said though, his 2 bad turnover games were in really bad weather. I think he makes progress in that category anyway.

The title to this video didn't age well at all. The Ole Miss Rebels are having one of theirs best seasons ever.

You were wrong. Ole Miss went 10-2 and should have been 11-1. Injuries really hurt the Rebels this season.
This is an awful assessment. So many things were wrong. Matt coral did throw 13 interceptions on the year but 11 were in two games. He had the highest accuracy rating in the sec last year. Also ole miss lead the sec in rushing a year ago and were running in67% of plays. The statement that ole miss throws a lot is inaccurate.
One never knows with Ole Miss. In 2015 they beat Alabama and lost to Memphis.

@@gthigpen6989 we are in November now and 8-2 and defense is the biggest reason why... Some short falls here and there but 3-2-6 defense is running well.

Corrals only really bad game was against Arkansas in a virtual wind storm where he tried to do too much.
I think 8-4 is probably right but 7-5 to 10-2.
Right now I see Corral as a late 2nd early 3rd round pick that can move up.

Matt Luke was the worst hire in Ole Miss history. Freeeze should have fired him. He was even a terrible line coach. That being said Kiff didnt even have a Spring practice and look at how Corral went from OK to superstar QB. Ole Miss should be much btter this year.

We referred to Lane Kiffin as "The Mad Scientist' when he was at Bama. We're STILL running his offense. Ole Miss will be on top soon enough.
If Bo Nix entered the transfer portal, I don't think he would be picked up by ANY division one program.
It will be a 6-6 or 7-5 season with losses to Bama, LSU, ARK, AUB, TAM, and (maybe) MST.
The offense is a total unit . This might he the cleanest offense i seen this weekend. Of course the defense is always the issue on recent yrs

Calling Lane Kiffin’s return to Knoxville a “trap game” is a pretty awful take. Hard to believe Kiffin won’t have them ready to play or that they will be looking ahead. Unless you have a different definition of trap game

Lane Kiffen is a daaaamn good coach! One of the most Brilliant Offensive Minds in the sport on any level. I would much rather Miami have him then Manny Diaz. Miami would be great again with him. Sark is a beast of a coach too. Those Pete Carrol Protégés can coach their asses off even before coaching under Nick Saban.

I'm not sure they will win the 2021 Egg Bowl.
Look how Miss. State came back from the dead (down 20 points!) and through sheer tenacity beat Louisiana Tech - even blocking the LA Tech Bulldog's game winning field goal. Miss. State hates Ole Miss and will show at least that much tenacity this coming Thanksgiving.
Ole Miss as always don't play defense. The team can go as far as the defense can get off the field. My prediction is that the 3-4 defense will be the achilles' heel for this team. Alabama is the only team that can run a sub 3-4 defense. The other schools that run this defense are wasting their time, Ole Miss included.
Ole Miss will also lose to Liberty (courtesy of another former AU tiger) lose to LSU, lose to Bama, lose to A&M, lose to Kentucky. That's 6 losses by my count. Ole Miss will eventually be good (not great) under Kiffin, but this season isn't going to be the amazing year several are predicting. That defense is still as weak as wet toilet paper. It will take a couple/few seasons to fix.
I suppose the Rebs could lose to LSU, Bama, Auburn, A&M, and even Austin Peay, Tulane, or Liberty This season. I'm no psychic or legendary sports handicapper... though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once... But I double dawg guarantee, and will back with every dollar I could beg borrow or steal, that the Reb's WILL NOT LOSE to Kentucky. If ever there was a bonafide lock, that is certainly one. GUARANTEED it WILL NOT HAPPEN.
@@barrymorgan3383 Kentucky is no slouch. If Levis can remotely resemble the efficient passer he was against week one's patsy, they will be tough for anyone to beat. I think they're better than Florida at the moment, judging by this weekend's performances. Corral can be an elite QB, but unfortunately for him and Ole Miss, his tenure won't overlap with a decent defense.
Harsh truth? Auburn could start Blow Hix and win against Ole Miss. Corral throws about four interceptions per touchdown and Auburn is more talented across the field. P.S. AU's secondary will be one of the best in the country
Ole miss has got to be the most overrated team in the sec this year. I don’t understand the hype. Are they good? Sure. But a sleeper team? Not a chance. 7-5/8-4 is where I see them this year. They’re like Texas or usc or Tennessee. We hype them up because we want them to be good again. But ya can’t always get what ya want.
