We are very excited in Oxford !
If you go back to the first year of the portal we were the first team to really dive in and use the portal. Because of that we figured out how to use our NIL effectively and efficiently. A lot of national sources think this is a new thing for Ole Miss but it has been 4 years in the making. Kiffin knows we are a playoff team but he is working to make us a championship contender.
and we've always been one of the richest colleges in the country. this isn't imaginary money down here in Mississippi.

Super excited my daughter just started college up there this year. She’s a freshman. Been a long time Ole Miss football fan. This is going to bring something special to the team 2024 national champions.
As an Ole Miss fan, I have not been fond of the NIL and the transfer portal, but Kiffin may be changing my mind. What he has done at Ole Miss in 4 years has been phenomenal. And now that it looks like he is putting down roots (the Auburn debacle was a distraction last year), I think he can build a CFP contender.
With all the talent returning in addition to the talent coming in...Kiffen is making a national championship caliber team.

Everyone is excited about next season. We have a lot of returning players and REALLY good prospects from HS and the transfer portal. Coach Kiffin and his staff have done a phenomenal job.
I’ve never seen this much talent at Ole Miss in my lifetime. Across the board. I always knew Oxford had the charm/magic to be special place but to see the rest of the world see it too, is quite exciting. It’s a great time to be a Rebel.

Don’t forget about 5 star Suntarian Perkins. He did a good job this year as a freshman being very undersized. He puts on about 25lbs in the off season and watch out! He will be a beast!

Agreed only difference is freshman are one thing, most of these guys are prove talents in the sec. You don’t really have to coach them up like a freshman just scheme and utilize them effectively.
And, as a friendly reminder, Lane Kiffin is not Jimbo Fisher (yes, he got FIRED) nor is Ole Miss comparable to Texas A & M (a good thing) & College Station can't hold a candle to Oxford. HOTTY TODDY!

Ole Miss' defense has already improved under Golding but, to be honest, that was a low hurdle. As we now see, Golding is flexing his recruiting muscle and that will dramatically improve Ole Miss' defense. Even with the improvements though, I'm glad they're getting a schedule break with respect to Bama.

This seasons is not as impressive as it looks. Went 4-0 in one score games and beat Tulane with their backup QB, barely beat a terrible Arkansas and Mississippi State team, LSU win looks impressive but they had a defense ranked well into the 100's and Mississippi looked non competitive against the only two good teams they played.
They are kings of hype though.
