How to Destroy Great Britain in ONE TURN in Empire: Total War

- This is not clickbait you can destroy the British in one turn, however the process is very intricate. Enjoy!
Make sure to like and sub because I'm aiming to hit 1k subs by the end of this year.
One more piece of advice; you can give the conquered territory to Louisiana to remove resistance to foreign occupation and stop them rebelling, and annex Louisiana later. Though I would recommend destroying the school in England first.
The Irish wish :P
Of course it'd be an Irishman with a video titled: How to Destroy Great Britain in ONE TURN

Napoleon: "Why did't I think of that?"
yeah, british navy? nope sir! we are too busy looking at th cliffs of dover
Because he knew real Britain wouldn't sit still while he did his "turn". 😁
Napoleon: "Damn you, youtube algorithm! Why didn't you show this to me earlier!"
He did. See my answer. He concentrated his army unopposed, sent his fleet to Antilla as a diversion, and when the fleet appear in Gulf of Gascoign, it should have confronted the split British fleet. Won or lost, the battle would have freed the other French fleet in Brest to cover the invasion flotilla against the damaged British fleet. Time for the British blockade forces to come back from Spain, London was lost. But the French Admiral did not dare to fight and lose a battle, he will do it later, in a pointless battle at Trafalgar.

Eoin Joyce : How to destroy GB in one turn ?
Me, a simple Frenchman : yes how ? HOW ??
@@johnedington6083 hehe fun fact : when i play France i always spend a lot of money to be friend with the GB, that allows me to be free to move my trade ships upon the seas, to avoid a second war front, to concetrate my troops against Prussia and Austria and sometime to keep Quebec a bit longer. When all this is done, I invade America, free Scotland and Ireland and let them (+Spain) deal with England.

What the hell
I didn't know you could recruit that many generals from just 2 units
Heck, that you can use a small mobile unit to lay siege and then increase your numbers by getting more generals for more numbers is such a big brain
wow you just pre-emptively solved most contemporary armed conflicts, thanks
Remember, a french did that, so it just changed british conflicts for french conflicts
Yeah, if you think the French wouldnt have conducted nearly identical colonial divisions then youre crazy.
@@madlarkin8 lets face it, if any of the continentals had Britain's empire it would of been alot worse for this earth probably
@@lilbrit1019 there is no way to know that and is thus statistically unlikely.

@@ottovonbismarck2443 diplomatic system? What diplomatic system, it hasnt updated since Napoleon 1st went "everything not Napoleon is my ennemy"
@@Freedmoon44 French diplomatic system was : alliance with Southern Germany, peaceful competition with UK, support to Italy.
It was effective to reduce Austrian and Russian influence in Europe. It could have been effective against Prussia, which was 2/3 of French population, army and GDP with a very narrow common frontier...
Except that after Prussian-Austrian war, Bismarck secretly signed a military alliance with Southern German States, increasing his force by 50%, and creating a much larger war theatre. A few provocative move and the blunder of Napoleon III made sure that France declared war, compelling Southern German states to side Prussia.
POV: You just tasted British food and immediately ended up here
Napoléon: "No! I sent my ships to Trafalgar instead of Brest. Why wasn't this in my recommended earlier!"
Napoleon ordered his Mediterranean fleet to Antilla, to divide British fleet, then back to join the Brest fleet and force the Channel. But his admiral coming back from Antilla did not dare to sail so close to the British fleet, fought an inconclusive battle in Gulf of Gascoigne, then retreated all the way back to Cadiz.

The best TW game to date. So sad that mods are no longer being updated for it. And that this style of TW is done away with.
Not even close. Medieval 2 is the goat
I see your point. But I’d offer Rome instead of that. Every game after Shogun 2 has disappointed
@@Ian-qt5si agree
It is incredibly buggy, the combat system is crap and the UI is full of things you don't need or care about. Shogun 2 and Medieval 2 were the best, this one is truly terrible. And are we going to ajip the faxt that Britain has only 3 cities? Come on ma
@@amog10 I was disappointed with the displays and general feel of the game. All they needed to do was grow on shogun focusing on more units and eras and maybe more battle options for ambushes and setting up units in buildings. For me the beginning of the letdowns was Rome 2.
Impossible, the soil of old Albion is specially grown to poison any invading Frenchman trying to force garlic on us, and the mere presence of a British Tar on the main causes every French ship to either sink, burn or strike her colours and surrender.

every irish person ever, literally getting salty over something that didnt even happen in their lifetime lmao
Napoleon alternative :
Move your whole army to Boulogne
Send your Mediterranean fleet to Antilla. Part of British fleet will follow
As soon as you hear of the British fleet in Antilla, go back to Europe
Attack the small blocus forces to free the blockaded ships of Spanish and French Atlantic small harbours.
Napoleon plan : go to Channel and confront the main British fleet. Winning or losing is unimportant, even a Trafalgar in the Channel is fine : the British fleet will have to repair.
The still unused Brest fleet can now travel securely the whole Channel and protect the crossing of the Boulogne flotilla.
Once 200.000 veterans are on shore, London is lost : British professional army is too small and militias untrained.
Once London is lost, the whole financial system crash, the Royal Navy cannot be paid and collapse, Ireland revolt start, pinning a third of the remains of British army, and King George has to negotiate.
Reality : The French admiral had an inconclusive battle with 20 ships against 15 and went to Northern Spain for repair. Unaware of the thereabouts of the French fleet, the Royal Navy concentrated at the entrance of the Channel, but split again between an Atlantic and a Channel force. As expected by Napoleon, the French admiral had a two days opportunity to attack the Channel fleet on par - and the result did not count, since the Brest fleet would be freed. But the French admiral did not dare to attack and retreated to Cadix. Napoleon turned against Austria. The French admiral, hearing that he had permission to attack when 3 to 2 but will be dismissed nevertheless, went out of Cadix to fight Nelson with 33 ships against 27 and was utterly defeated.
So the admiral was a coward?
@@LawAcieIV No, he staid in the thick of the battle all along. And he was a clever tactician, he devised a couter-measure to British "break the line " tactic before the battle - but his clumsy fleet could not stand their position.
It was worse : he as unactive, not bettering his fleet by frequent exercise, contrary to his predecessor Villeneuve. Also seeing British Navy everywhere, making him indecisive because he did not perceive the strategic goal, to sacrifice his fleet at the entrance of the Channel, to disable most of the opposing British fleet, so that the intact Brest fleet could sail without opposition to the Pas de Calais and protect the invasion.
@@gengis737 So he was indecisive or inactive like the union generals in the civil war.
@@LawAcieIV Exactly, overwhelmed by the size of the task. Like Ulysses S Grant as a beginner, before he understood that the ennemy also has fears and doubts and shortcomings.
Another big brain strat is to have all of your navies consist of a single fast ship.
Set naval battle timer to the minimum (15 minutes iirc) and fight every defensive naval battle.
In the actual battle, just have your single ship stay as far away from the enemy until the timer runs out, and the enemy navy is destroyed.
Adolf Hitler: “Nice, now I will try it with Russia!”
Considering Napoleon had most of Europe and it’s labor force I wonder why he never pulled an Alexander the Great and just ordered the building of a land bridge.
Probably would’ve been cheaper than marching on Moscow

tw empire is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits
French people: wright that down wright that dowb
This is even better when you play as the maratha since their general is mounted on elephants, making the autoresolve favors them heavily

ever considered letting the fleets and armies move faster?

This is what a Total War speedrun should look like.
The AI watching you do this like: 👁👄👁
I don't see how from a gameplay design position they thought it was a good idea to have entire countries represented by 1 city.
Correct
At least this one was three cities.
Unlike France…
@@simonnachreiner8380 I was definitely disappointed with the game regions. There is no Belize. Hispaniola doesn't have French Haiti. I don't think Frankfurt and Cologne belong in one region (one is German, the other is French), Voronezh doesn't belong in Tataryia (Kazan)- it's a completely separate region. Montreal probably shouldn't be in the same region as Tkaranto (Toronto). The Caucasian units- in Georgia and Dagestan are completely inaccurate. Wales should be its own region. Sicily should also probably be its own region. Baltimore should be a port not a land city, if anything, Baltimore should be the region capital, while Annapolis should just be a port (They have it backwards). Those are just the deficiencies I caught, I can't imagine how many more inaccuracies there are that I didn't catch. Would be nice to have a mod that corrected all that, improved the AI, had more various battlefield landscape, and added more diplomacy features like request to declare war, or the ability to install a puppet government after you conquered a region. There are probably other things that could be updated/fixed too but that was the main stuff I could think of.
I used to do this for open field battles, but it never works with star-forts, etc on higher difficulties. Problem is the algorithm doesn't think cavalry units can storm a fort... so it seems to exclude them from battle. In fact, if your units are ALL cavalry, you can't EVEN attack a city that has the city-walls around it.
How would you storm a fort with horses?
@@kimmosanky7353 dismount some of them and capture a gate, then open it and storm the castle
@@captainrex7168 no, they are cavalry. If they would dismount the unit would not be called cavalry. Its not like infantry can magically turn into cavalry either.

Then how you dealed with rebels? More generals? :D
Burn all military buildings and only pikemen and militia/conscripts can rebel I believe.
You can skip transferring troops to Brest and then adding them to other ship. Just combine the ship with troops with other navy, then move only new ships. Old ship will remain in place and army will move with new ships.
LOL Scotland just surrendered XD
