It is more like it is added in by someone in an attempt to censor out the face. The Name supports it. (Nameless! Deity) And with comes the myriad of details of the design, inspired by all kinds of religions depictions of their higher being(s). It is meant to be God. Not any God anyone on the Earth has imagined and interpreted through their religion. The actual being. The source of all of these myths. (I’m purely talking design-wise here. It is if course Xeroc, not the actual interreligious God) With it comes a commandment of the Bible, which forbids any manmade depictions of God. (I think in the Islam, it is the same for Mohammed). So the religious tone of the Boss and the censoring make a genius design for the ultimate Devine not (just) for the world of Terraria, but (also) for us, the Player. The Censor is made for us. Because we are not allowed to gaze at the face of God. (Xeroc)
I dont think he is like that, maybe he has more ideas now Even with this I believe he must be all "I'll make it as planned" Anmd will just make it fun, he is already busy trying to optimize the code, so I'm sure he will be more worried about making it playeable rather than being flashy I'm sure that he wants to make it playeable by non gaming PC's unlike modders like this :)

I like the choice of making it scream. Some would thing its like a wounded animal and screaming in pain or to show dominance but I like to imagine it is speaking its own language, millions of tongues and voices that you can not comprehend it

Plus the black frame covering the divine face, which in the Bible says that God's face cannot be seen or understood by any being.
it really is an incredible concept. reminds me of the mandela catalogue, which in itself is fascinating. this boss is my new favorite boss in all of terraria.

To me, the attack at 5:31 is the most impactful. The way the music hard cuts to this almost fractal-like rising tension makes it feel holy and menacing. It sounds like what you would hear if a galaxy was pouring out in front of you, of course, but that's the point. 𝐚 𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐱𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮.

I've only ever had one mod kick me out to the menu, I forgot what it was, but it was some kind fox ghost and I get kicked out when it touched me, after rejoining they were behind me like a stand until I beat queen bee, which I did like after Plantera. After I did that it either just left or became an npc, forgot which.
I've been attempting this bossfight now and i gotta say, Dominic has done a job way waaay better than expected. The bossfight is much cooler when you fight it instead of just watching. Not only that, although this bossfight is a crazy mess, it's super optimized, it runs way smoother than Infernum EXO or even Noxus itself, i haven't defeated yet but i haven't been frustrated so far, the music and pattern are very enjoyable, oh my god.
Oh it's optimized alot? So if this is an addon to the calamity mod, than I'll just have to fight the lagger of gods and lagron, the lag dragon before fighting this guy

yea calamity DOG was very laggy for no reason everything else i had no problem but that guy god damn maybe even the DoG is suffering from fabsols 500 resprites
These addon mods are so good. I've started adding them to all my calamity runs, I hope the calamity dev team considers making these official one day :)
The nameless deity was Xeroc, but when Fabsol found the first unlisted video of it he got extremely mad and Dominic had to rename it to nameless deity. I don't think he likes the addon mods.
The fact that Nameless Diety is basically an incoherent collage of images like Omega Flowey, symbolizing its "Godlyness" as the God of Terraria Calamity Mod (atleast in the old lore of the game), makes him probably my favorite boss design I've seen in a while. The song and censor are the cherry on top, that only add to the already "epicness" of this MF's design
I love the effort put into this fight. There are so many hidden little details like the black hole at 1:56 being generated from Xeroc smashing a whole star. Good luck for Fabsol, really lmao
I just beat it myself and the youtube video player really doesn't do this fight and its effects justice, seeing and hearing them in-game is on a whole other level. I think the most incredible part of the whole thing is that every single attack is challenging to dodge yet feels 100% fair at the same time - Dominic's outdone themselves with this one
I agree, the only attack I felt was a little unfair was the sword dashes. Sometimes he switches sides and cuts you off at the last second. Good dodging avoids this though.
Wow.. Just downloaded it a few days ago, and then watched it get renamed from "Noxus Calamity Mod" to "Calamity: Wrath of gods", and even get a new boss I cant express how impressed im actually are by this mod, truly, creators of this mod, you are truly one of the best modders ever :)

Actually incredible. One of the coolest things I've seen come out of terraria. Props to the people who made this because everything fits in perfectly. The music, the design, the attacks? Spectacular. Really makes you feel like you're in the presence of a God and the mod delivers it beautifully. One of the attacks (specifically the galaxy laser thing from phase 3) made my jaw drop. The effects combined with the deity speaking to you in a language you can't comprehend along with the other flashy effects on screen was amazing. I aspire to make something of that sheer quality and detail someday.

There's not a lot of things that actually scare me in games, but this thing fucking terrifies me no joke. The black box covering its face, the fact its not pixelated like most bosses in Terraria (both vanilla and most of the mods I've seen), and the fact it moves so smoothly just all blend together into something that embodies the feeling of "Thanks! I hate it." for me
Dis mf is like omega flowey consumed 70 souls instead of the intended 7, fused with the final boss from "The MultiMedium" and then snorted 17 suitcases full of coke and just felt all the effects.
At 5:50, I'm pretty sure this is meant to be Xeroc pre-ascension. The censor and the fact that Xeroc was once mortal (stated in boss rush and in lore,) living as a monk, most likely proves this.
The fight may look scary and difficult but I like to think this test says one thing. Do not panic. You really don't have to move a bunch for the first two phases. This fight took me forever from all the panic and spastic movements I would do. By far the most insane fight I've seen. Also awesome unique sprite!
If this is really Xeroc, then Infernum lore is really going to be nuts. Because according to Infernum, Xeroc was just some guy that killed the real Creator God called Zeratros or smth like that, an ancient Dragon.
Infernum does not have lore, and does not care about lore unless it can be exploited for design purposes. The Xeroc who’s just a guy that ate a dragon is new Calamity lore.
4:52, 5:35, and 6:11 have got to be some of the coolest scenes in this video. Actually fought the boss, hardest part imo was to dodge that clock attack the boss does in its third phase.
i love how his sprite is reminiscent of omega flowey. he is so above the layer of existence terraria is in that he isn't bound to pixels. that plus the censored out face is a neat way to show his incomprehensibility and power
Just beat the guy for the first time a few days ago and it has been by far the most impressive display of modding ive seen in Terraria so far. It really pushed the limits on what can be made in such a simple game
its less of a duel and more of a friendly sparring match against god, this guy can just instant kill us no matter what, because he literally breaks through the game logic and literally hinders us like taking away adrenaline and rage, the player isnt even divine, we just manage to kill divine beings and yoink their shit

I just beat it myself and the youtube video player really doesn't do this fight and its effects justice, seeing and hearing them in-game is on a whole other level. I think the most incredible part of the whole thing is that every single attack is challenging to dodge yet feels 100% fair at the same time - Dominic's outdone themselves with this one

I agree, the only attack I felt was a little unfair was the sword dashes. Sometimes he switches sides and cuts you off at the last second. Good dodging avoids this though.

Actually incredible. One of the coolest things I've seen come out of terraria.
Props to the people who made this because everything fits in perfectly. The music, the design, the attacks? Spectacular. Really makes you feel like you're in the presence of a God and the mod delivers it beautifully.
One of the attacks (specifically the galaxy laser thing from phase 3) made my jaw drop. The effects combined with the deity speaking to you in a language you can't comprehend along with the other flashy effects on screen was amazing. I aspire to make something of that sheer quality and detail someday.

I'm shocked... I can't believe this is terraria. It feels like it's a different game!
There's not a lot of things that actually scare me in games, but this thing fucking terrifies me no joke. The black box covering its face, the fact its not pixelated like most bosses in Terraria (both vanilla and most of the mods I've seen), and the fact it moves so smoothly just all blend together into something that embodies the feeling of "Thanks! I hate it." for me
Dis mf is like omega flowey consumed 70 souls instead of the intended 7, fused with the final boss from "The MultiMedium" and then snorted 17 suitcases full of coke and just felt all the effects.

At 5:50, I'm pretty sure this is meant to be Xeroc pre-ascension. The censor and the fact that Xeroc was once mortal (stated in boss rush and in lore,) living as a monk, most likely proves this.
This is based on old lore xeroc where it was just actual all powerful creator God
The fight may look scary and difficult but I like to think this test says one thing. Do not panic. You really don't have to move a bunch for the first two phases. This fight took me forever from all the panic and spastic movements I would do. By far the most insane fight I've seen. Also awesome unique sprite!

If this is really Xeroc, then Infernum lore is really going to be nuts. Because according to Infernum, Xeroc was just some guy that killed the real Creator God called Zeratros or smth like that, an ancient Dragon.
Infernum does not have lore, and does not care about lore unless it can be exploited for design purposes. The Xeroc who’s just a guy that ate a dragon is new Calamity lore.

4:52, 5:35, and 6:11 have got to be some of the coolest scenes in this video. Actually fought the boss, hardest part imo was to dodge that clock attack the boss does in its third phase.
This boss kinda gives me Providence vibes! I like this boss a lot! This would probably be my 3rd favorite boss in modded Terraria of all time! :)

It seems to me that the player himself is a divine being, since he was not crushed into dust at the very thought of a duel with God
its less of a duel and more of a friendly sparring match against god, this guy can just instant kill us no matter what, because he literally breaks through the game logic and literally hinders us like taking away adrenaline and rage, the player isnt even divine, we just manage to kill divine beings and yoink their shit
If he can kick you out of the world itself, what else would he be capable of? How knows!?
