Hey Julie ! my brain is bouncing now , i've had similar observations and have various assumptions about things , , when i saw my son born, it was then that i knew the difference between a man and a woman and was pretty much sure it was a good thing that i wasn't a woman , , anyway , here it is 3 weeks after this upload and California is suffering from the wildfires , and the toxic smoke particulates , , back in 1966 my 10th grade science teacher made a big deal about global warming , , my buds and i were more interested in the cheerleader with the you-know-whats , , but as to that $10,000 thing with your mother , , it got me thinking about having read books and seen movies where the brides family always had to have a dowry and apparently it was a big deal , , maybe even back in the bible days , , how did that practice get started and for what reasons , , , and if it goes deep into moral type things , , maybe your mother was doing something that seemed quite natural for other cultures around the world
Ha, so she was going to pay me my own dowry? Coming from my mother, I'm not sure if that's feminist or the antithesis of feminism. Honestly, it just seemed more like a mindf*ck than anything. Can't say I was raised with any kind of religion/culture/morality that would apply. (Sure I learned morality, but not much about it pertaining to sexuality besides this strange offer.) Kind of like an indecent proposal, but instead of $1 million, my body was worth $10K. Thanks, mom!
Oh dang! Haha, I think I learned too much, too early. And even as I got older, she'd let loose more details about her sex life with my dad than I ever cared to hear.
This is a very interesting video. I watched all of it. I really don't see your glamour shots as being ''sexual'' in any way. If I had not heard your video, but only saw your glamour shots, it would not even have entered my mind that they could be considered ''sexual''. It looks like a pretty girl playing dress up. I don't see the problem with them. I hope you're not still beating yourself up over them.
Thank you for the watch and comment! No, I'm not too distressed about the Glamour Shots in particular, although they're definitely a little bizarre to look back at. I did really want to have them done at the time! But like a lot of the other things I discussed, I'm not sure there was much consideration of what kind of dress up is appropriate for a little girl vs. what might be a "not until you're older" type of thing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

@@R1se-Inspire This one felt like a bit of a dumpster fire. But hey, I used CapCut! 😁
@@juliegrows😂 it’s all good. That’s awesome 😁👍🏻
All I can say is, I'm 55 and still waiting for my mum to tell me where babies come from...😂
