  • *** 12/2017 UPDATE: I had added an additional shrimp to the bowl and soon found she was carrying eggs. With preparing for possibly over 20 more shrimp to hatch, I upgraded to a 20 gallon fish tank with a filter. The shrimp now have some guppies as buddies, and now I'm hooked on the world of fish tanks.
If you are passionate about keeping a shrimp in a bowl like in this video, I would recommend getting a water testing kit and maintain your shrimp ph levels.***
-Ensure you don't have your shrimp in direct light.
-Be cautious when introducing things into your ecosphere. The shrimp need their water to have a specific ph balance, and foreign objects can alter it and kill your new friends.
-Be cautious of how you clean out the bowl before starting. I wet a paper towel with the freshwater and wiped it down til it was clean.
-Distilled water is not a good substitute water option. It doesn't have any of the good bacteria that your shrimp need.
-These guys need their water to be at 65 - 80 degrees. Make sure the water is a correct temperature before introducing the shrimp into your tank.
    Goodwill glassware $4
Shrimp, freshwater, rocks, marimo balls, and plant from Petco $25
    Krazy glue $3
    TOTAL $32
