This could be very useful for me. Thanks. I'm currently making a game but apart from the original Red alert map editor I never touched any other map editors in my life. Having a general look at them like this could be very useful for me.
great content as usual, for the future videos can you expand on these topics? - a walkthrough of your most script heavy missions, -how to add new units + voices, add new music soundtrack, and add videos from the base game like Kanes taunts or Scrin broadcasts to play during the mission. I remember you added the drop troopers in your latest campaign, can you share the logic how to do that? Would be interesting to have orbital drops for GDI light units -how to adjust AI behaviour to be more challenging? Like sending larger unit attack groups instead of a few in their usual low economy attack pattern Is there custom assets available to play with?, terrains, already created maps to use to give player new experiences in CNC3. Looking forward to what you have planned out & Happy New Years!
Hi, adding new units, the custom drop pods, voices, music and terrain is only possible through modding, not Worldbuilder itself. There will be future videos looking at how to use Mod SDK in conjunction with Worldbuilder, but that won't cover all of the features mentioned above due to how they are implemented. The other things you suggested, such as custom AI, will indeed be part of the series at some point. Happy New Year!
Great video! I can give you some input on how I do my skirmish maps. Tips and tricks I figured out while mapping to create more natural looking maps faster.
Cheers! For the moment, I'm focusing more on missions/campaigns and storytelling, but I might look into skirmish maps later. It's why I won't be using stuff like 'Terrain Copy' despite it's usefulness in skirmish maps
Hello i have 1 questions... first and foremost thank you for making these videos so many years down the line. When i enter the world builder i dont have the box that shows me the boundaries of the playable area. and how do i play the maps ive made in the game?
Hi, if you can't see your playable border, go to View>Show Map Boundaries If you've made a skirmish map, they will be in the Skirmish option, if you made a single player/mission map, it will be in custom maps
I also tried that but for some reason I couldn't get it up and running. It didn't seem to be recognize that I had c&c installed. I have it installed via steam
I did not expect to see a map tutorial after so long. I highly appreciate you for making this! Thank you
No problem! If you have any questions about making maps in C&C3, feel free to comment here and I'll note it for upcoming tutorials
This could be very useful for me. Thanks.

Good to know, part of this series of tutorials will be specifically about finding inspiration to create so hopefully that aspect help you out too

Let me know if you want my input on the latter. I am happy to provide it :)
Any chance you could make an install video? Like how to set it up on a modern version of windows and such?
Thanks for this it's been So Long since I made a map
i don't find worldbuilder where is that?

i need help, everytime i try to use the brush tool for terrain height it keeps crashing
@@SpiiiiiceeMAN try setting lod to low, it's right at bottom of the view tab
So I tried to download it off command post, but it kept saying it couldn't unpack the file
Command post? My campaigns shouldn't be on there as I only use Mod DB
The world builder
Oh I see, sorry
Try CNC Labs, I believe that's where I got C&C3's World builder from years ago
I also tried that but for some reason I couldn't get it up and running. It didn't seem to be recognize that I had c&c installed. I have it installed via steam
Can't help you there, sorry, as I use Origin. There might be guides or videos about to install WB through Steam elsewhere though
Thx!
I'm not even getting started with the world builder. Otherwise I can completely forget my free time :D
Yeah, one thing I will address in a future tutorial is how surprising long the entire process can take
@@reddeadsmeg4379 Then some people may be able to understand how long you need for an entire campaign.^^
Fingers crossed
can you make like… a video about installing “update” pls
Hi, do you mean updating C&C3 to the latest version?
i mean to stop the spam of modifying the worldbuider
I don't understand what you mean, the only reason to modify worldbuilder is when you want to use it to make maps for mods
good
