Real-life characters have always given the C&C series life and make it amazing. Making me feel like the game is real. This is a part of the C&C's identity that should always stay!
it's a shame video games don't take full movie cutscenes seriously. everything is just in game assets. whether it's easier or cheaper i don't know but i certainly can appreciate what C&C did within it's series. i shall always shed a tear for C&C though, EA went downhill from where westwood studios took it, especially the Tiberium franchise.

Red alert 3 is one of those legendary games that you enjoy even playing over time and time again. everything from graphics to sound effects to music to actors. everything was done right and well. all missions and their stories are memorable and fun. i just wish they had made red alert 3 uprising the same way.
I can't find exact figures, but looking at what budgets I can find of the 2008's other EA games, RA3 could have cost between $5-10 million to make. I'd imagine 90% of that went to the cast, because god d*amn they deserve it

Plus the Soviet Union was socialist. Trotsky wanted to pursue global communism, which is a step beyond socialism, but Stalin was more realistic and instead kept the state apparatus to control a military. The point is that the HOI devs don't actually understand the real history and academia behind these concepts, so that is why they have communist as a political ideology/faction instead of socialist. "Soviet" simply means "union" in Russian, although it implies that specific kind of socialist union.

NAh the game was fine. Sure they tried something new, but at its core it was the same great, fun, campy game. I'd say give it another chance.
