Iraqi dialect is the LINK between Semetic languages ( Aabic /Hebrew/Syriac/Chaldean/Assyrian) from one side and lest's say Asian languages ( like Turkish /Farsi/Kurdish/Hindi and Urdu) on the other side. Iraq is an ocean of languages.
Urdu and Hindi? Who the hell speaks Urdu and Hindi in Iraq?
@@tutigseg I'm talking about words( vocabs) not languages. Even Farsi and yeni Türkçe aren't used in Iraq. We have many vocabs from the neighborhood even some are Russian words.
@@khaldoonmk6177 well in terms of Persian vocabulary thats obvious but I don't think there are any Russian or Hindi words in any Iraqi language especially Urdu cuz Urdu itself is sort like a constructed language made up of Hindi and Persian

The word for rice is originally from English
And many other stuff such as lorry, car bonnet, etc
Even Kurdish is present in Iraqi Arabic

The grammars of Arabic language is most diffecult grammars in the world. It detailed for many lines for each occasion. So, there are many acsent for each Arab country in the 22 Arab countries.
At last the Arabian understand each other acsent but in the formal language regarding grammars is clear for all even foriegners.

This video is such a gift! I was so pleased that I could follow most of what John was saying, only getting a bit lost once or twice! I started learning the Iraqi dialect, but couldn’t stick with the books I have. I’ve recently switched to an outstanding course which teaches the Palestinian dialect, but I agree with John that Iraqi is easier to understand as they keep the letters in. More videos like this please!
Im so glad it is helpful. Biggest thing for me is just enjoying the long process, because then nothing stops me from progressing. So great to learn falesTini too. Smart to go with a solid course.
Why not learn the MSA first? it’s the basis for all other dialects in my opinion as a native speaker. We learn both simultaneously or automatically understand MSA.

It was really nice, I would start studying MSA and then go to dialect. Its easier to all Arabs to understand the older guy who speaks Fusha.

Iraqi as a whole is definitely closer to Gulf Arabic, and even in cities like Mosul and Northern Iraq, there's definitely gonna be a more "Levantine" Influence however it's still gonna sound more similar to Gulf Arabic because the famous Levantine accents are actually accents of the cities of the Levant, such as Damascus, Beirut, Halab, Amman, etc.. and all these cities are geographically very close to each other.. while Mosul is gonna be more similar to Eastern Syrian accents, which also has a strong "Gulf" or "Bedouin" influence to it..
so to put it shortly, Iraqi is more similar to Gulf accent.
I'm learning Baghdadi Arabic but I want to speak Maslawi but there are no materials for Maslawi. Is Baghdadi and Maslawi similar enough to learn one through the other?

مشتركة جديدة في قناتك أنا مغربية وزوجي أمريكي درس اللغه العربية الفصحى ست سنوات وهو الان يتحدث جيد بها . وانا لازلت احاول ان اتعلم اللغة الانجليزي رغما مرور ثلاث سنوات وانا اعيش بامريكا لا زلت أجد صعوبة في الاندماج وصعوبة في التواصل وفي بعد احيان احس ان اللغه الانجليزي صعبة خاصة كمغربية لغة الثانية الفرنسية فاجد صعوبة في النطق والقراءة

The Iraqi speaker has a way better accent, as a native Saudi I found understanding him easier than the guy who spoke MSA, which says a lot about how correct pronunciation is even more important than the dialect spoken.

The Christians of Iraq are all ethnically the same people wether they go by the name of Assyrian, Chaldean, Syriac and more. Our native language is Aramaic so naturally most of us are bilingual or multilingual. We r considered the indigenous people of parts of present day Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Turkey.

Im portuguese i started by marocan and fusha (alweys learning) and i feel i understand much of palestinian and iraqi , when qaf turns ' it comes a bit harder.. egyptian being the hardest in my point of view today( maybe in few years i will have other ideias)
As soon as Christians in Iraq were mentioned, I knew Assyrian/Neo-Aramaic was going to be mentioned -- and so it was.

In Iraq we have many languages and dialects, Arabic, Kurdish, Turkish, and our beloved Christian’s languages ( Armenian, Assyrian, Telkef, Alkosh) each city in Iraq has special dialect . You know all about us. There is a church in Baghdad Nuns has a special Lock woman make a wish and the nun puts the lock in a way if it opens the wish granted 🤗 Muslim Iraqi women go to the church light a candle to Mary Virgin and wish a child . we all United under one believe❤️ Love .❤️
