Diana Pinheiro | IMP fully backs new faculty members

Diana Pinheiro is a developmental biologist and group leader at the IMP since 2022. Her group studies the mechanisms that create the shapes and patterns of developing embryos. The Pinheiro lab uses zebrafish as a model organism and applies high-end microscopy.
Pinheiro's work relies on high investments into infrastructure and she extensively uses scientific services provided by the institute. In this testimonial, Diana Pinheiro shares her experience of joining the IMP as a new principal investigator.
