During Act 7, after beating the "United Front" main story quest you will be given the quest "A family's legacy" which is when you will be able to do this. Hope this helps because I messed around here for over an hour thinking I was just dumb.

The 2 videos before from different players were completely useless as they were just walking around the island and looting Orichacum Ore and other things! Those 2 completely wasted my precious time! After their videos I was still no way further! Just don't get it why these 2 idiots put up a video that's totally useless and helps you in no way further!

@@counterclockwise5989 well even after watching video i did not see any ray of light and the sky was pure cloud , i even hold M for like 20 times maybe this would change , wasted like 2 hours and got a bad headache then i googled again and found out this is a actually a part of story in certain point i need to go to this island and open the door , i was just there by my self for fun (i am lvl 26 right now ), i have not yet get the time to continue the game (fucking job) ,i hope i get there soon .

Got about a minute into this video and realized what I had done wrong; i didn’t know I had to break wood to let the light through I just kept focusing on one building lol thanks

I'm confused because the clouds are blocking the sun everytime when I rotate from night to day and I cant get even one sun beam

Just make sure you go to the chest first, I made the mistake of moving the mirrors first and it stops the script from running properly so you can't align the first set of mirrors.

Im a level 45 right now and see that your a level 32. So my guess is that you have been sticking to the quest missions. While i on the other hand haven't. And maybe that's why those lights don't light up for me.

This is easily to me the coolest looking island like when you walk around it when the sun is rising it looks like a movie. The black sand and if you have gold armour so fucking cool too me idk why.

Ok so, I'm not that much of an idiot after all. Running around the gaw'damn volcano island looking for an entrance to the cave/caldera/treasure hole thingy & finding NAH'TING. S'plains a lot.
As for this game in general, the level of visually beautiful landscapes, artistically simulated structures, story writing, & all out entertaining fun to play game is what the Elder Scrolls & Fallout should have amounted to. This game is visually breath taking/stunningly beautiful, fun as HELL to play. It proves the the AC Ubisoft division is headed & fully staffed by ACTUAL GAMERS!

Does the sun beam automatically hit the mirrors once the quest is acquired? I seem to have come to the island before getting the quest and would like to open the doors. But if its not possible i guess I'll have to come back.

@2:19 No matter how I move the mirror it still keeps hitting the pillar and won't go past it to the mirror in the next building. Is that a known bug or does it have to be very precise?

The workable mechanisms probably won't populate until the quest does, once you get it started.
Mannn broken ass game... lol i aligned the mirrors all right... the little triangle lit up so I should be able to go in the door... it just wouldn't let me in... was trying for like 20 minutes and just decided to reload up the earlier saves and now it works lol
