Laura, I think the outfit you wore in today's episode is by far my most favorite thing I've ever seen you wear. You looked so posh & well put together. I adored it.
Eeeeeep! As a 911 dispatcher for the last 26 years, please, please, please don’t leave your purse unattended in the cart like that! We have so many people get their purses snatched while their back is turned. Always carry it under your arm.....I love your channel and all the amazing treasures you find!
Laura, I wanted to let you know that I try and let most of the ads run when I watch ur videos. Why you ask- because about a year ago ( pre COVID-19) , I wanted to plan an Italy trip and you were so sweet to answer my questions and make suggestions and references. The fact that you took the time to help me really touched my heart. I didn’t get to go but one day I will. Kindness goes a long way.. thanks girl!
A All that is sooo true. Elisha English commended on a comment to crazy lamp lady and I just thought she works for her viewers, lol. I started watching her and really enjoy her content.
Your outfit is spot on, you look like you are in a Seventeen mag from the sixties! Like something I could find on South Street back then! Believe me, I lived it, I'm 72. I rocked the suede vests, hot pants, suede boots, leather bag, and turtleneck sweater look, oh. and micro minnies. You're beautiful!
Hi Laura. I would keep the candlestick black. Looks amazing in the corner near the clock. I think the holder looked great with the paper napkins. Thanks for your amazing channel.
I just want to say I absolutely love your channel so much! I liked it before when you were with your friend but I love you solo so much better! I love seeing your hubby make surprise off camera appearances and the playful interactions between you two! Hope to see more of you both (you and Hubs) together in the future!!
Laura, You have the best eye. I love when you find items in stores etc. and then you show how you use them in your home. I love your videos. Can’t wait some time to come out to the West Coast and get some baskets.
Me too..used to have more of Selenas style shabby chic, but really moved onto the boho/ mid century modern style like Laura. Keep the videos going Laura 🥰
I know you and Selena are doing your own channels and I love both of you. But I sure miss the two of you being together. Hope all is OK between you two. ❤❤
It's paper (or possible originally small cloth) napkins, but you put them in wrong. You fold the napkins into a triangle and hook a bunch of say five around each individual spoke so that the top of the triangle reaches the top of that spoke, and they curve outwards around each individual spoke. Look up vintage skirt napkin holder to get a visual reference as to how to fold them
Cool wine holder! My mom had the metal napkin holder when I was younger. It came with a set for drinkware/barware stuff. When my mom passed away, I gave away a lot of vintage things that I now wished that I kept, but I can't keep everything. I started my collection of pottery in the '70s. You have a great eye for vintage pottery.
Fun seeing your cat taking over the new basket! Mine used to do that and at Christmas I would give them shirt boxes with lots of tissue paper that they would hide in!❤️
The holder looks like a mini magazine rack. When I was a kid we got a "TV Guide" in the mail every week and that looks like the rack we used on the end table to keep track of it: one for the current week and one on deck on the other side for the next week. Seems funny now because we only had 4 channels and needed a "guide" to find out what was coming on TV! And, we got out of our seat to change the channel!! LOL! Y'all probably don't even know what I'm talking about. I'm 72, so that was "back in the olden days." LOL! Good times tho!! Love ALL your videos, Laura!
I'm sad too! They are not defending their friendship (which would be human nature if they were still besties) on the written remark statements both have made. And the studio they were working towards a few months ago never came to fruition. They both just say they decided not to film together this year to focus more on their own channels...yet we've had videos every Friday of 2021 until last Friday. Makes me so sad...I hope I'm wrong. Laura & Selena I hope (if it's true) that you can mend your sweet friendship and learn and grow together! Sending you good vibes!
It's a napkin holder from the 1960's. We had one when i was a kid. It looks like the prongs have been squeezed together a little bit. I used to play with ours and squeeze the prongs too lol. The handle is for moving from the table to the countertop or wherever napkins were kept when not in use.
Those were different my dear. They had more sticks to create a wall-like effect to keep the napkins. This is a cup holder. Six sticks to hold a complete set of cups.
Not to jump right in but please tell us what is happening with Recycled Life?? No collaborating videos with Selina anymore, no store front?? You did so much work on it already? It makes me feel sad. You both are so fun together. You lift us up so much, and your fun loving laughter has really gotten a lot of us through these hard times. I understand you both have your own dreams but it's still sad. I hope that you both are still friends because that's the most important thing and maybe a change of heart!? 🤗 Ps Kittys in the basket perfect!! 😀
I've been wondering the same thing. Kept expecting a video on the completed storefront. The last two weeks I've waited for a Recycled Life video, but there have been none since the huge haul series. What's up Laura?
Just a thought. Ever consider they are taking a short break of filming together because they just finished uploading that long estate sale series? 🤷🏼♀️🧡
Laura, mineral oil is a very good thing to treat your wood pieces with keeps them from drying out. I have many antique wood bowls and at least once a year I treat them to mineral oil to keep them from drying out they look beautiful! Just a tip for you.
I say holder for 45's- I had something very similar when I was a kid next to my 'bouncy horse' and record player- I'm old 😉 What distracted me the most though was when you mentioned Lebanese food! I grew up on it- please share when you go back and get to eat there! 🌻
🍃Laura🍃 I cannot express how much I adore your thrifting finds. Your taste in the mid-century items is second to none. Oh my goodness...you are so interesting and a complete ✨joy✨to view and learn from. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. 👍🏻👏🏻 🙋🏼🇨🇦
I do love 💕💕 all of your finds! Also, you may not be old enough to remember that napkins used to be much larger than they are now, so yesterday's napkin would have fit perfectly.😘
Fun video Laura! I love that you said hello to the crow! I do that too, especially now that we have a pet pigeon. Birds are a delight. Did you throw out the toast? That's how I eat it so I'm shaking my head that I couldn't help you 'dispose' of it!😋😊 Your husband's input was funny!
Love the wine holder .... I guessed what it was ... so chuffed 🤗 There is such a thing as toast racks and they are quite popular in the U.K. especially in restaurants or bed and breakfasts but I don’t that is one. My guess is glasses that it came with... who knows... a little mystery is always fun x
I soooo look forward to your videos. They have it all shopping, vintage, cool tips, awesome cat and hubby cameos. Aww can't forget the music. You are my favorite on You Tube 💛
Hey Laura, fyi, the vase arrived in perfect condition today, great packing... I love it, thank you so much~♡~ by the way I do take the boxes and wrappings etc to our local antique store. They are soooo appreciative. I thought the gold small rack might be for "rinsed" pony beer bottles to let dry so you can collect your 5 cents at return😄 than thought too, small glass baby bottles drying rack, records or mail seemed more like it. Thought the toast was a possible option... but definitely a good catch when they popped up. Thanks again, take it easy~♡~
You fold the napkins into triangles and put them in...we had the same one on our formal dinning room table...they were cloth napkins in the 70's here in Australia
Oh My God Do Not Paint That Hanging Candleholder! Brass would be a sacrilege, first, and the finish being a bit distressed is totally gorgeous and appropriate for a second. It looks fantastic in that corner.
I'm on my break at work and hit play as soon as I see your post. Then have to pause cuz I only have 15 minutes. Cant wait to get off work to watch the rest. (Will probably rewind to watch it all over from the beginning!! LOL) Love your style!! Great finds
Defo for 45s as I had one too. OMG cuteness overload when the cat popped up in the basket! Keep the candle holder black for sure. Thank you for these thrifting videos Laura - loving them!
I think my vote for the little caddy was for mail. Love your videos. They are a total escape. Here in Australia it's really hard to find any decent mid century goodies. Especially where I live. Was totally loving the music in this video. So FUN!
😂 I know... I always feel naked on camera without my hat! But it’s almost spring and my head gets too hot so you’ll be seeing more of my top half of my head in the coming months 🤣❤️
Used it for Mail... we had one back in the day, when every correspondence (no internet etc.. ) was posted and you didn't have time to open them all. And you placed the opened bills needing to be dealt with on the other side :D Tho I do think it works well for the singles too.
I would probably use that little gold holder for my masks. Right now I have mine in a vintage napkin holder. But I do think it looks cute with the 45s in it!
Candleholder needs to stay black but be careful! Had similar and set fire to the wall... we have same kilim bag from shop 1 bought in Turkey, almost identical design and colour. I like the silverware wrapped in cloth napkins. Placed on a table with S & P shakers think it just adds a little something. Just carry your plate to the table and you're ready to go.
The Japanese Dolls🥰👏🏻🥰 The Mid Century Coasters🥰👏🏻🥰 My sister found 3 Old, Vintage Dolls at a Habitat Thrift Store👏🏻 seriously , the cat peeking out🖤🥰 Heading out tomorrow to do some Thrift Store shopping myself☺️ Great haul👏🏻🤍👏🏻
Oh, that kilim bag was so beautiful and a pretty good deal! Also, thanks for sharing your finds and esthetic- I live somewhere in europe but your love of pottery has made me pay attention to pottery pieces while thrifting and I've actually found some amazing pieces like a lot of midcentury stuff or a Raku vase mare by a german potter worth at least 100$. Wouldn't even have looked if it weren't for your videos so thank you!
Kitten in the basket was the best. Laughed out loud very very adorable 😸
Laura, I think the outfit you wore in today's episode is by far my most favorite thing I've ever seen you wear. You looked so posh & well put together. I adored it.
Just beautiful ❤and your hair duu looks very sophisticated 😍
Eeeeeep! As a 911 dispatcher for the last 26 years, please, please, please don’t leave your purse unattended in the cart like that! We have so many people get their purses snatched while their back is turned. Always carry it under your arm.....I love your channel and all the amazing treasures you find!
I buckle my purse into the cart or use a caribbeaner
It’s a cup holder usually for outdoor use. You turn cup’s up side down generally they are the small thin style glass cup.
Laura, I wanted to let you know that I try and let most of the ads run when I watch ur videos. Why you ask- because about a year ago ( pre COVID-19) , I wanted to plan an Italy trip and you were so sweet to answer my questions and make suggestions and references. What a kind thing to do & say! Have a Blessed weekend 🤗💜🙏🏻😷🦚

All that is sooo true. Elisha English commended on a comment to crazy lamp lady and I just thought she works for her viewers, lol. I started watching her and really enjoy her content.
That bit of Jean Pierre's green eyes rising out of the basket was priceless. Watched it 4x!
😆 He’s soooo cute!! Love my little buddy 😻

I’m a child of the 60s it’s a record holder.
Hi Laura. I would keep the candlestick black. Looks amazing in the corner near the clock. I think the holder looked great with the paper napkins. Thanks for your amazing channel.
Leave the candleholder black. The contrast is great
That's my thought too!
Use gold candles. Will look swell.
@@sharonb537 I thought the same thing1
i wouldn't paint it or strip it either. that's it's patina - it's age and character. looks very well designed. could be something.
Don’t paint it leave it
Love the earrings and the bun - a very sophisticated look on you today Laura :)
I still keep my guess at mail. Looks like a carier for a secretary to bring the mail to her/his boss
Love that giant basket and the kitty cats are adorable. Loving your taste!
Laura,
You have grown loops & bounds. Sharing your personal growth with "US" always puts a smile on my face & a joy filled heart.
Thank you 😎
I just want to say I absolutely love your channel so much! I liked it before when you were with your friend but I love you solo so much better! I love seeing your hubby make surprise off camera appearances and the playful interactions between you two! Hope to see more of you both (you and Hubs) together in the future!!
Definitely for 45's - many many years ago my friends older brother had one of these for his 45's!
Jean Pierre and Lorenzo are still the most beautiful critters in your house Laura! 😻😻
Laura, You have the best eye. I love when you find items in stores etc. and then you show how you use them in your home. I love your videos. Can’t wait some time to come out to the West Coast and get some baskets.
I like your solo videos, I like your style aesthetic 🌹
Thank you Christa! ❤️😘
I like their individual channels too, but wish they would address (in a video) they aren’t doing videos again or for a bit. Love them together.
Me too! I like your aesthetic and your calm but engaging manner. Thanks for taking us along!💓
Me too..used to have more of Selenas style shabby chic, but really moved onto the boho/ mid century modern style like Laura. Keep the videos going Laura 🥰
Love to watch u picking alone as it's all about u style and mine so l feel u doing it just for ME🥰
I know you and Selena are doing your own channels and I love both of you. But I sure miss the two of you being together. Hope all is OK between you two. ❤❤
Omg they still have their channel together The Recycled Life! They both have they're own separate channels, so these are great! Bonus for us!
I know, was so sad to hear what happened :'(
@@annael87 what happened?
@@adablair2562 yes what happened?
100%, them together really worked, love them separately too, but together they just worked.
Leave the candle holder black but get smaller flameless candles with timers so they will come on same time everyday

I m a bit jealous.
Love the ""fruitbowl"

I really surprised myself at how sad I was not for us their fans but for their friendship😔
Ok....your kitty in the basket was alone worth watching, but I loved all your finds too!
How cute
Your kitty in the basket!
Love the cats! Love the music you play for your videos!
I think the brass rack is used to carry small juice glasses (place upside down on peg) to the table.

I love the giant native American basket, and the hand ring holder and the coasters of the wine holder. Good finds! See you on your next!
If I’ve said it once, I said it a million times.... I find better deals at antique/vintage malls than my local GW. 👍🏾
Love the cat in the basket shot! Lol!

I need to move to Oregon. Our Goodwill's put out plastic junk or stuff ready to go to the bins.

That wood hand was fabulous.
That wooden wine holder would be a dream come true for me.
I definitely ask about items behind the counter at antique stores!!! I think your stand worked best with the records. ☺️ Great shopping as always. ❤️
Don't like wine but that bottleholder was amazing😲 Love your earrings😍
