Heavy is my favorite of the bunch, I'm really impressed how they made an invincible character without them feeling over powered. Also don't know if you know but most of the chaotix members have a secret chat animation done by typing a specific line in the chat or command menu whilst playing as them. Vector: die lit Mighty: sexy Heavy: pow Bomb: cupcake Heavy and Bomb's do actually effect enemies in a certain way, the other 2 are just fun easter eggs. Espio and Charmy do not have any to my knowledge. Bomb was a bit weird to me at first but once I got him down he became my second favorite my main advice is whichever way you charge throw bomb (more horizontal or more vertical) his explosion will send him the opposite way, instead of going more in his current direction. Also jump charge plus spin lets you lock on to objects and refreshes your jump charge, didn't figure that out till right after beating the main campaign with him.
There's this mod called VsMetal mode (I think) which just makes every map in the game have a pro metal sonic ghost who pretty much flies to the goal with optimal pathing. Whenever I try out a modded character one of the things I always do after beating the game as them is trying to race Metal sonic to the goal. I've tried it with all the chaotix and all of them can do it. Some were way harder than others (Mighty), but Heavy is one of the easiest ones since he's got a really good jump height and isn't remotely slowed by any obstacles other than vertical ones. The invulnerability helps make pathing routes easier since lava just becomes empty floor if you can get more than 10 rings prior to reaching it.
hes got a huge amount of depth with how his moves interact with one another. not mentioned in this review are his instant dash attack done by pressing spin twice, or the fact that he gets extra spring momentum when dashing/slamming. he can even gain a lot of height by purposely jumping into walls while dashing, especially if he has speed shoes. so he goes SUPER fast and can skip a bunch of stuff when you learn all his tricks. extremely fun speedrun character
My take on heavy: He goes against everything that srb2 is. Srb2 is a game about speed, yet, heavy is slow. The game puts many obstacles in your way, heavy just ignores them. When I play an srb2 character, I want to see a character with cool options for moving fast. Heavy? He has a chargeable jump, a groundpound and a way for him to get to the speed that a normal srb2 character would have as their default. I can excuse this mod for making heavy this boring though, making him quick would be weird and it would go against what knuckles chaotix established.

I see heavy as a coffee pot robot
Same here lol
Welcome back! Definitely my favorite character next to Bomb
Hopefully after Bomb, Silverhorn is next.
Or deltachars
by far my favorite character from the pack, so much fun to play...
The reason heavy drowns is because the springs that power him rust
Or at least thats my headcannon
