Wiborna Śkodówka Karosa ŚD11 jeździłem taką w latach 1975 -1979 ,dobrze trzymała sie drogi zawszenie niezależne z przodu jak w osobowym tylna oś RABA zawieszona na 4 poduszkach powietrznych troche było gorzej filtr silnik łapał cały kurz z jezdni i końcówki wtryskiwaczy nie pasowały od Śkody RTO706 i przez taką zamianę / nie było oryginalnych - połowa lat rządów Gierka wszystkiego było "pod dostatkiem/ wypaliłem dziure na 4 tłoku Ale autobus wyborny na te lata kiedy w Polsce były tylko RTO706, troche ikarusów i autosany H9. Ale no tak... Relevantné by bolo porovnanie podobnej cesty autobusom trebárs v SRN alebo v Rakúsku z rovnakého obdobia. Porovnávať to s podmienkami o 40 rokov neskôr je úplne absurdné, bez ohľadu na politický režim.
Jazdný čas z Bratislavy ešte z Avionu do Prahy na Florenc bol 4hod 40 minút aj s 30 min prestavkou na Deviatich Krížoch. Ked si spočítame cestu z bodu A do bodu B,ktoré sú obidva viacmenej v centre miest,plus doprava na letisko a z letiska je tá uspora asi tú 1,5 hodiny. a ešte jedna drobnosť :vtedy bola D2 a hlavne česká D1 oveľa prázdnejšia....

Tieto dialkové Karosy nemali ešte obmedzovač,takže v pohode 110,120 to išlo v pohode,bolo to sprevodované tak...lenže ked sa v takej rýchlosti na dialnici vykotil,tak mrtvych bolo na mraky....rakva na kolesách,žiadne bezpečnostné prvky,výstuhy a pod.....vtedy sa také veci ešte neriešili.

Autobusom viac ako 50 km? Nikdy! Autobus je fajn dopravný prostriedok, má svoje miesto. Ale v relácii Bratislava - Praha jednoznačne železnica. Aj keď je pomalá.
V dnesnej dobe ano,lebo vlak aspon ide,ale autobus viac stoji v kolóne za kamionmi v zuzenych pruhoch ako jazdi👎lebo D1ku treba uz 7 rokov obchadzat co najvacsim oblukom,je to celoeuropska ostuda,ako odstaviť na niekolko rokov najvytazenejsiu dopravnu tepnu v strednej europe👌
@@carlopedersoli157 Vlak jede z Prahy do Blavy 4 hodiny, antabus 4,5hodiny. Tudíž a proto je autobus pomalejší a rozhodně mnohem méně pohodlný. Autobus možná z Práskačky do Kotěhůlek, jinak ne

Yes, you understood it well. The top speed varied with these busses, there were many different versions, some even equipped with ZF transmission and Rockwell rear axle. So some of them would easily exceed 100kph. And indeed, they were comfortable and many think these were the prettiest busses we ever made. Shame they didn't last long - the centrally planned economy set their life span for an incredibly short time of 6 years, so they really weren't bouilt to last more than that.
According to their papers, they went up to 100 km/h. But due to nonexistent speed limiters, they could do 110-120 km/h if needed. They were comfortable and economical for the time, but not very safe according to today's standards.
At the end of the 80's I was (as a student) on an excursion in the bus service. There were two buses of type "ŠD", which tore off the PTO shaft at a speed of about 140 km/h. In the first case, the PTO shaft tore off at both the engine and the differential and flew through the floor and ceiling. In the second case, the PTO shaft tore off at the engine (the engine was stored in the middle behind the front axle), stabbed into the road and built the bus in to the front wheels. It always happened without passengers. The "ŠD" type had a more powerful engine, which was stored in the middle and was therefore popular for conversion to various types of freight carriers.
Just adding my bit to AlejjSi's information: The ordinary ones with Praga transmission and (a pretty noisy) Raba axle did about 110 km/h. But there were some specially designated series that were fitted with air conditioner (in 1968!), 6-speed ZF transmission and a Leyland axle - these were reportedly able to drive as fast as 160km/h (100mph). I personally rode one of those (a historical vehicle already at that time) and we were doing 120km/h easily, with still quite some room for more. I believe, from what I heard, that these motorway express pieces didn't have an ordinary Raba axle but something completely quiet and faster, so I assume it was either this Leyland or the mentioned Rockwell. Either way, incredibly great buses for their time (prototype built 1961, manufactured until 1981). E.g. Bristol RE can be seen as their UK counterpart. They were very comfortable - air suspension maintaining constant ride height regardless of load, underfloor horizontal mid engine (100% floor area usability) which was pretty powerful (0-60 km/h under 10s, without passengers), robust and durable, city versions even had automatic transmission, and they all had a beautiful, timeless design. They were just somewhat noisy because of the Hungarian Raba axle (used in them from early 70s), which was not the manufacturer's fault, but rather the central planners' decision to suppress their own Skoda axle development and instead import the Rabas which were very reliable and low to no maintenance but noisy. Můj otec jezdil celý život i s tímto autobusem celou Evropu.Jelo to do 120 se spotřebou kolem 20-25 litrů a předjížděl s tím kde co.😀

Zažil som ale z karosou 734 pred 35r.
Jízdenka za 115KČS tenktrát a dnes s RegioJetem 160KČ. Klima,WiFi,230V, noviny a WC v ceně.plat plat 20xvyší. Nechutně nás komouši odírali.

Dnešní autobusy jsou sakra pohodlné a daleko levnější a rychlejší než vlak. Já jezdím jen autobusem.

Nějak tam nesedí čas. Půl druhé hodiny na 317km zní divně. ŠD11 dá max. 120 a povolená rychlost byla 110.
Pochopil jsem to tak, že cesta je o půl druhé hodiny delší než letadlem.
