Hi,great video, I have one of these doors and it was stiff to open, I loosened bolts while it was rolled up and I turned shaft on the right hand side downwards,a few times,then I tightened the nuts and pulled door down,now I can't lift it up,can you help please?
One of these roller doors crashed down on top of my daughter, after she had lifted it up it stayed up for about 3 seconds then unrolled itself & crashed down knocking her over, was hurt & I'm pissed. It was installed 8 mths ago, all the bolts are still tight so don't know how this has happened, I bought it brand new too. I would definitely not recommend this door & the lock is very cheap & is the locking bar...a good kick would easily break it. When the door hit my daughter it jumped out of the tracking and bent. Dangerous door be very careful if you have one.
@@mrsredneckcityboy No, I had the installer come back out the spring wasn't broken, he doesn't know what went wrong but somehow the door suddenly dropped and had to be retentioned. Dangerous door, I'm getting a powered door opener so hopefully that will make it safer
Retension the door and it will roll it self up, You will have to adjust the tension once again when the door is back up by tying a rope around it and resetting it.
@@cboulerice6835 Make sure the the door is mounted and loosen the bolts that hold down the main shaft so you can rotate the shaft. Make sure the curtain stays where it is and rotate the shaft until you regain tension. Make sure you re -tighten the bolts that support the shaft before letting of of the tension.

When you say retention the door… how do you do that? We have a door that unrolled itself so it doesn’t roll up anymore

you can also make you,re own door out of cardboard and cellotape,much stronger than this crap!
