We've had computers, space stations, Mars exploration, VR, 360 cameras, holograms and cell phones for 40+ years. We've been in the sci-fi era. Robots have been around for 100 years. Just not android type.

But I think Tesla has to have their own robot dog version. I actually saw one either on Twitter or UA-cam of a robot dog variant that was able to climb up a ladder. It would be useful for homes where the furnaces are located in the ceiling attic, the robot dog climbs up the ladder into the ceiling attic, move through the crawl space to the furnace, properly removes the old filter/properly installs the new filter/do maintenance, then climb back down safely. If it needs help, then the owner can intervene via tele-operation. the humanoid robot would be great for maintaining a home’s boiler system, HVAC system, plumbing, cleaning roof gutters with appropriate equipment where they don’t need to get on top of the roof (the robot dog can handle that), cooking healthy food, laundry, dishes, aiding an elder family members with activities/transfers specially stroke sufferers, groceries, home defense, self defense (probably needs some light armor with the ability to deploy materials that can irritate or stun for an extended period of time), cleaning and maintaining the car.
