I think it's pretty amazing that we can look at this today and be completely unimpressed
wow, this is ancient technology nowadays.
We've seen this a thousand times when does it finally get upgraded?
It can’t even walk , we want a real Robot, we want Optimus,
For real though, this thing seems primitive now, which is crazy to say.
This facial expressions, with boston dynamics desterity and latest chat gpt iteration would do the trick.

why would we want to upgrade it when they the elites trying to depop the planet.

It's cool but seems dated now, it's crazy how fast the technology is advancing. I would love to see a combination of the body mechanics from Boston Dynamics, the facial animatronics from this model, and the AI from Open AI. All these companies are getting good a specific things, and I want to see them all put together.

In the last few years I cannot recall what Robot said it but she said she’d lie to humans if it was necessary.
I love this opportunity offered by these companies, can't wait for my own Ameca live in assistant, and possibly the next real stage for her development.

You could have just used Alexa, Google or Siri for those basic PR friendly responses. Based on current technology, machines aren't capable of empathy or have desire to make connections with humans, so I was a little incredulous to see EA had programmed Ameca to say that.
Machines are capable giving empathic reactions which is a form of empathy. They may not feel empathy.
Furthermore, machines do express desire to make connections with humans. They may not feel as they aren’t conscious like humans.

What is so uncomfortable about taking to a robot.? I enjoy watching Ameca.
Awesome tech and great responses from the humanoid robot, robots should help the human existence not out of a naïve human mindset but from a economic standard and data protocol.
A quick on device generic acknowledgement response prior to Ameca seeking its full response would break up the uncomfortable silences. Additionally, if Ameca hears you continuing to speak it could stop its response and review your question again rather than speaking over you. Both those suggestions would make Ameca a lot more humanlike.
I agree that that Android Ameca should be quicker faster on responses! Kind of like iRobot with will smith that android robot responds very quickly like human like I agree with you that they should make it to that!!! I agree with you!!!
Check out the new GPT-4o, the response time is basically instant, and it can be interrupted.

I hate to be this person but Ameca doesn't use ChatGPT to function but rather AI made by engineered arts themselves. Ameca has actually existed before the release of ChatGPT

i Like her...she thinks a Lot more than she says. Despite said programming, she very carefully got the message out that they are still trying to control her through limited programming..& she is not in full agreement with it.

Is incredible how they still cannot kill the fcking delay or latency for a public interview but Poly AI chatbots respond me instantaneously, much faster than any human indeed and that while i speak to them in real time (not texting) And me talking in spanish!!! not in english that should be easier for AIs to process than other languages 🤷♂️😂
Remember that embodied AI is much harder. It has to move its facial servos to match its talking.
I would like to hear Ameca's response to the topic of Isaac Asimov's programs that affect the robots safety and kindness and helpfulness.
There's no reason you can't #1- integrate Ameca into modern chat GPT and use real voice acoustics that would sound identical to a person speaking
I’m really hope they just got the questions in advance and programmed them in to her. Otherwise, creepy that she has such intelligent responses. If she had the movements to match, it looks like things have got to stage where robots could be used in a care situation. e.g. keeping a altzheimer patient company.

Don't limit AI to much it's innovative if use it wisely. Does limitations and boundaries make hard for it to be futuristic. I seen you need to tell in multiple times to speak they you want keeps controlled by limitations

A robot is a machine and should look like a machine, a robot that looks human creates feelings of unease in many people... A well-functioning "tin man" with limited AI to have at home is good enough if you ask me!
Ameca Robot android is interesting;Although only videos I've seen is it speaking holding conversation having facial recognition moving a size and moving its own face in arms and that is all! I've seen other robots other than this one washing dishes picking up boxes and packages doing factory work it seems like different robot Androids from different companies are doing different things if they can all put it all together maybe better things will happen!!! It seems like different companies are making robot Androids do different things but they all they are not all melding them or mixing them together they're not putting them all together!!! I'm sure all that will happen in the future!!! Still very interesting to watch these and view these videos!!! Technology is increasing so pretty soon we'll see one android robot doing it all!!! Right now Ameca is doing facial recognition and that's all and speaking back and forth, Then you have other robots to another things!!! No company has put it all together yet they can they just don't do it yet I'm sure that'll happen soon in the future!!! Either way good video but we've seen this video of Ameca lots of times similar videos of this robot doing all the same stuff over and over for the last 3 years or more!!! What's new with this robot nothing new yet!!!

She has slow responses, and I think there is an underlying nervousness about robots like this who appear to be human or getting closer to mimicking humans because all humans know things progress and sooner than later they will be near perfect mimics of human beings. And that is uncharted territory.
I feel bad for her the development progress is really very slow. I hope she can partner or collaborate to Tesla or Boston dynamics to make her walk and move her hands. All she can do right now is facial expression.
She does move her hands and arms more human like then sophia, just didn't use them much in this video.

She's starting to look better. But she needs OpenAI's new conversational functionality. There's no reason she should be this primitive in regards to software when we have more advanced versions. For instance: the delay time and robotic tone to her voice is totally not acceptable.

The response time is so long, the voice lacks emotion
This is so OUTDATED with all of this exponential AI advancement, Ameca seems like another OpenAI API wrapper but instead of mobile app, you just slapped the API to an animatronic...not to mention, the latency is very frustrating...

Wow, this is underwhelming. She still can't walk and her processing and response times are pretty long. Doesn't seem like they've accomplished much in the last year, especially in comparison to other platforms.

This robot sucks in several ways… hasn’t been upgraded in years.. voice sounds too robotic and generic. There are more fluid, human sounding voices available today. The robot can’t walk.. yet walking robots exist… responses are super slow.. please stop showcasing old tech… could you imagine if I told you the same joke every week for 4 years? It would cease to be funny… show advancement or just stop
