Nice score so far. Can't wait to see the rest of the haul. The first Snap ring tool was made by KD Tools. The KD Model # is 2012D The long twisted wrench is a distributor wrench for adjusting timing. The hose crimp pliers were also made by KD Tool.
This was a good video and I love that u put what they resale online for I'm not going to sell my tools but I like to collect the tools that are resale double the original price some Craftsman made in China Sears are double the original price
Nice Haul Tom ! Some Cool tools and Great Condition too. I got a Nice pair of Channellock 907g Snap Ring Pliers at The Flea market . Now I Need to get the Tips at the Flea Market .
I have an electric engraver, it does a o k job. You got a lot of cool stuff there. I also picked up some 3 in 1 like the round bottom the other day, I love a good estate sale.
Tom, I have that same snap ring plier with the driver handle. Got it back in the early 80's. Its a K&D though. Yours is in MUCH nicer condition though. On that bent SK driver, have a look at my video on bench grinder shaft straightening. If you make up a set off lock on collets to contain the section that you want to straighten, you can do it easily without messing anything up.. Keep these tool junkie vids coming.. I need my fix. Don
I love the Stanley indexable ratchet in 1/4" drive, been looking for one for years. The Craftsman snap ring tool is great. You got some nice tools there.
@@TomGunnTools Just pretty busy. Not much time for watching videos. I watch a few when I get a chance but one of the likes all of you get is from me. All is not well but getting better. Overcoming injuries, wife and I both. Separate motorcycle wrecks. She had 3. Mine 1. I am up and riding again, she may never. I always enjoy your videos and the other guys to keep my head on my goals. "Forward and Upward". That's my mantra.
Great haul! Favorite is the snap ring screwdriver. I am known for using tools in unique ways...I havevto get one of those gizmos with the extra tips. I have an awkward positioned tuning slide on an antique horn that is stuck. I'm betting it can be extracted using one of those.
The Craftsman 45488 Combination Snap Ring Pliers, came with 9 Sets of Points. I like the SK multibit screwdriver. I saw a used Vintage Craftsman 45394 pipe wrench pliers on ebay for $33.00; a great buy for what you paid. New Channellock 426 pliers sell for $18.00; yours is in good shape. The long multi-bended wrench is a distributor wrench for adjusting ignition timing. The Benzomatic propane tourch is an excellent addition to your tools; I was surprised how many times I have used it during that past 19 years. The two full length Craftsman saws were manufactured by Disston. A used 20" Disston #240 handsaw sells for $44.00, if in great condition.
Another home run Tom. Love the black handled Craftsman stuff. I got one of those files last year and it’s the first I’d ever seen like it. Interesting how new all that stuff looks. Can’t wait to see part two! Take care 😃👍🏼
Those are all great finds Tom, especially that long “specialty wrench” but I’ve never seen a snap ring screwdriver before. What an interesting tool! I wish those were readily a available at tool stores cause I could see some great advantages to it.
I think I can explain the benefit of that particular snap ring tool. Usually they are built like pliers with spring tension in One direction. There's a couple different mechanisms for switching between internal and external, but almost all of them are pretty fussy. I've never seen this particular tool but the benefit was immediately obvious. While it still has interchangeable tips to be lost, because it's a screwdrive, it will stay still at any position. We all know what a bitch snap rings are, the most common problem I have is when the pliers suddenly decide to slip joint from external to internal or vice versa. These can stop anywhere along the line so the user doesn't need to adjust them to set them for internal or external. The amount of control this would give you would be extremely helpful. You wouldn't need to compress or stretch any snap ring enough for it to fly across the room, only enough to get it out of the groove. I think this is likely a very handy tool
The unusual Craftsman snap ring tool is definitely a favorite even though i doubt It would ever see much use. As far as something more usable I might go with the extension all the way through Craftsman Spinners, those look like some Work Horses..........Channellock with the nut instead of the rivet, you know they're somewhat old anyways............Looking just now the rivet patent was applied for in 1982, can't say for sure when all their pliers switched over but I imagine it wasn't long after.
Nice haul Tom. Those older Channellocks are better IMO because of the bolt and nut holding them together. All the newer styles are riveted. Small right angle wrench is a bleeder screw wrench. Much easier to use than a standard wrench because of obstructions. Just all kinds of beautiful tools in excellent shape!
I just picked up that same exact Stanley short cut saw from Goodwill a few weeks back in NOS condition and I quite like it. An almost identical saw was being made for ACE hardware up until recently, or might still be made. I bought one a couple years ago from the local Ace and use it quite a lot, made in the US and I always assumed by great neck but maybe Stanley still at least semi makes some saws here in the US ?
So funny that SK bit driver is the same as a Matco one I have. Only difference is the color. Also, the Craftsman snap ring pliers are the same as a pair of KD snap ring pliers I have. Only difference is the color of the handles. Nice score overall!
The Mac wrench is probably a distributor wrench. I have a few but without the extra bend near the head. So it's probably for a specific model distributor
That "specialty wrench" is a distributor wrench for loosening and tightening the hold down clamp on a distributor while the vehicle is running without having to stick your hands down in dangerous places.
Wow! Most of the stuff is brand spanking new. Tom where do you find the estate sales? Are you going online? I'm in north Jersey, just wondering what's the best source to find estates near me. Thx man!
I don't know how I possibly missed the scout cruster episode about it, but I'm getting low on my beloved metal 321 oil cans. May I ask the trick for refilling them? I've done the method of compressing them to suck in oil, but it's pretty slow and laborious
I have used that very electric etcher and I have used the $1,700 proxon version and a handful of no names. I think everyone works identically well; not at all. I guess it's fine if you absolutely must have shaky initials in your tools, but if you carve a bearing number around a pocket for example, it will not be legible in just a few months even if it is initially which is rare. In fairness, I'm not much for dexterity either way
NEW SUB HERE ,,,,,KILLER HAUL ....CANT WAIT TO SEE IT ALL !!! IM FIXINT TO START BUYIN TOOL LOTS IM A RESELLER SO IT WILL BE NEAT TO DO TOOLS !!! WHATS UR EBAY if u sell ? GOOD SHOW
So the two saws are a little older and the saw part may not be the best in the world but the people that will buy them are the wood workers and they will buy them for the handle.
Really cool find i think you got a good deal but I’m little cheaper on tools i would probably would of paid $60. no less cool find i watch your videos i wait for your updates
Snips are are not left or right handed. the left and right refers to the direction they cut. The aviation snips you have are not great for cutting curves. Offset snips are better for cutting curves and circles. Nice haul.

Great haul for 100 bucks
My Grandpa used the Mac opener style tool for puncturing a quart of Quaker State oil, back in the day. Was perfect for it
All I can say is “Man, did you step in it”. These are mint tools from the 80’s, maybe 90’s hardly used if at all. You really scored!
Thanks Pal, it was interesting because it was out east and I went mid day. I would have really killed it if I got there first thing!
Lots of really good useful tools. Can’t believe there’s more. Great deal
There is! Part 2 is posted if you haven’t see it. Appreciate you watching!
What a wonderful fine. Thanks for sharing 👍👍🔧🔧😃😃
I think that MAC might be a distributor wrench.
Yep, definitely is. Pretty cool, I have one and it works well for distributers mounted in the rear of engines.
That’s exactly what I said when I saw it. I still have one in my box😁
Yes it is I have one. Works great.
Wow! What a haul!
The two odd wrenches are cool the bigger one is a distributor wrench and the L shaped one is a brake blending wrench.
Thanks Joe, part has some great stuff as well!
Tom Gunn Tools I’ll be looking for part 2
Men awesome find!!! Those craftsman are beautiful men I wish I could find those craftsman

Just saw a video about using articulating head ratchets if you leave it unlocked it turns push pull of the handle into rotation of the head

Tony, I spend just as much time looking for tool boxes to store them in as I do tools. 😂

That MAC long wrench is for distributor bolts on older cars and trucks. Very handy in the day.
I can see why, very cool wrench.

I Didn't Realize that Channellock went to A Rivet all mine Are Nut and bolt. I like the Nut because you can adjust the Tension Slide / Slip .
@@wayneo7307 Mine are all nut & bolt too.
Nice haul man! I found several of those Stanley 100 plus screwdrivers recently. That big flat head is a beast.
They were good quality stuff!

Great score the short specialty wrench from Snap on is a brake bleeder wrench.
Thanks Noah!
So much good stuff, Well done on this haul Tom! 🛠👍😊
Thanks Sparky!
I have that green SK screwdriver (not bent) that I bought from an SK truck in the mid 1980’s. It is my main”go to”screwdriver.
Nice! I hope to get mine straightened out!
