I personally think of them as Indie-Screamo/ Midwest-Screamo, which is why they aren't on this video. However I couldn't include them on my other video because of Merchant Ships
the labels dont rly matter but emoviolence is a mash of the words emo& powerviolence , so is better used for fast chaotic screamo with lotsof switchups does that make sense !!
I personally discover screamo with Heroin, but, honestly it is not pure screamo. If it was, i would have discover screamo on another way. And yes this is logical. I mean, i was searching for something like "cosmonaut" from at the drive in, wich is not screamo, so heroin was the bridge.
And majority of these bands are from San Diego California the birthplace of screamo / skramz. How much you wanna make a bet that majority of them are from SD
Next Up: Evolution & History of Midwest Emo/ Indiemo
Øjne, thank you for including them. They are incredible
This was great. Took me back to college (‘92-‘96).
Criminally underrated stuff from 10 -22, amazing
Saetia hits hard as fuck damn
Nice video. So many great bands
cool video, a bit sad I didnt see iwrotehaikus in here

@@EMOtiveHXC What u think about I Create ?
@@xManuelchampionx they aight
I loved this band Twice The Messenger in high school, deathcore take on this genre. Always found it really interesting.
Alot of great bands! Ty for this vid🙏
really love that you included i hate myself!
The I Have Dreams album is one of the saddest and most beautiful albums ever
This is a great, but man everyone forgets about Bright Calm Blue.... Also if anyone has a copy of "who calls so loud" vinyl. please i need one.
Envy mentioned ‼️‼️
l'antietam and suis la lune are my fav screamo bands
who calls so loud?
it sound more like Suis La Lune, isn't it?
I think I got the wrong link lol, nice catch.
Seeing Saetia here was great, but Hot Cross was pretty fire too.
That's what I thought, didn't members of Saetia later form Hot Cross?
I think hot cross is considered post hardcore
Emo not death!❤
crazy how similar I Have Dreams sounds to early Underoath
I don't know the definition of this, but I think the current screamo trend started with GRADE from Canada.
All this sounds like fear before the March of flames
Great choices, but surprised no city of caterpillar 😢❤
It was between them and On the Might of Princes
@@EMOtiveHXC wrong choice . ❤
@@mywifeisgoingtokillme9318 When I update this video in the near future, I'll add them. Just hope your wife doesn't kill you before then!
mohinder should be on more screamo lists
Fuck, i have dreams is still in my personal top3 of all time
No Portraits of Past?! Also Four Hundred Years and Yaphet Kotto were earlier, with Four Hundred Years being just straight emo
RIP Cadillac Fraf Percy
no breakwater is crazy
thought the same thing lmao
What is the name of the song of the year 2008?
cant quite remember, it was a Suis La Lune song from the same year tho
Young Mountain ❤❤❤
They started all from All about heroin, 1991. Huge influence from bands like chain of strenght or born against.
Old gray Communion is the best song ever
5:20 is suis la lune
No Orchid or Reversal Of Man or I Wrote Haikus About Cannabis In Your Yearbook? Very odd.
I consider them emoviolence as well as screamo, and I'll be showcasing those bands and the like in a future video.
@@EMOtiveHXC Orchid makes any list
@angusmcnay5449 will you be okay?
whos the dollores im coming home artist? send links for their music pls
Did I miss Orchid in this or did you
Was thinking about using them, but I’m doing videos on Emoviolence and Midwest screamo so I tried to stick to this specific vein of skramz
Cry the monarch ! The vocalist now has another band called lagrimas also screamo/emo !!!
I’ll check that out
Lagrimas fucking rules!
That’s crazy I never knew this
@@Judgemyheart you learn something new everyday ! Ps your guys band is amazing
It's wild seeing a band so small on a list like this. They were just kids, to me. Don't forget Midlife Crisis Winery ❤
great list
they all sound like johnny test
what?
what's the difference between Screamo and Emoviolence???
Same question here!
the labels dont rly matter but emoviolence is a mash of the words emo& powerviolence , so is better used for fast chaotic screamo with lotsof switchups does that make sense !!
Usually the tempo, and the drumming.
Screamo is general screamed hardcore with emo elements.
Emoviolence is screamo with powerviolence.
@@EMOtiveHXCSo Emoviolence is the more extreme right?
🔥
nice list but wheres anomie?
no yaamc??
who calls so loud has a suis la lune song over it
2008 is suis la lune, not who calls so loud.
I forgot to switch the aduo
what about SeeYouSpaceCowboy?
is metalcore
no heroin... ? 1991??
I personally discover screamo with Heroin, but, honestly it is not pure screamo.

right?!
Post HardKorEvolution have 3 Ways eMoScreaming@ HardKoreScreaming@Metal HardKore!!!❤❤❤🎉😢
Top❤
no Bled? no Grade?
Was thinking about adding Grade, but they’re a *little* edgy
I hate myself no lo pondría como screamo... es emocional Hardcore o simplemente emo...acá hay muchas bandas que son emo violence...no screamo...
at most there would be about like 4 emoviolence bands. Emoviolence is a subtype of screamo anyways
Agreed! I've seen more and more people call IHM screamo but they were just straight up emo
Envy 🥹
Funeral Diner
These videos seem a bit biased lmao
Wdym
And majority of these bands are from San Diego California the birthplace of screamo / skramz. How much you wanna make a bet that majority of them are from SD
almost none of these band are from San Diego dummy
