Thanks for bringing us along! Awesome history! I can definitely picture NinJen rubbing elbows with the rich and fancy smoking a cigarette in a 6 inch cigarette holder!
Great job...History is the common link that many enjoy...I bet some outrageous autos showed up for those wild parties...I wonder if this was the "Speak-Easy In The Woods"?? NYC Gangsters ever showed up ? Maybe Tammany Hall was the organizer for the gents and ladies! Just real cool place, thanks for the video!
Great video!! Loved Jen's intro!! I have seen documentaries on Madame Sherri. How nice of you to bring her old haunts back to us! Just a wonderful trip...thanks for sharing!
Thank You for bringing us into the past with you once again, please keep the "Not Thursday" vids coming but be sure to keep the Thursday vids coming too.
Great time! Loved the video! Loved the music! What was madam sherri's last name?Would like to google her. Has to be a interesting story there. Thanks Tracy
Loved my tour of the Madame’s Castle! I could see a bride and groom on that stair case!!! Thank you for taking me with you and Jenn. I needed a good walk.
Reminessant of the Roynane homestead. Great superimposition on the 'ghost farm' shots Charlie. That is a technique that I really appreciate. A great time out with the two of you. Remember to stay fancy. - SB
Loved the ghost pictures you choose. That type of before and after shots are the best. Fascinating look back in time. Lovin the Not Thursday adventures. Keep up the great work. I am ready for our next trip. See you then guys.
stealth diggers Im from central Alberta Canada and there is hardly anything here from pre 1900s you are blessed and I love the inspiration you all give to look for what's out there
I sooooo enjoyed this episode! I like when you compared the photo with the actual landscape then the Forrest was extra special too. I swear Missouri has nothing in comparison...
Sweet spot Charlie, Old stonework is so beautiful. We think we have skill these days with all of out tech...Yeah well I would love to see most of us attempt to build that!
stealth diggers At 1000 ft. And a 60 ft. aerial antenna I get a lot of U.S. television channels . N.Y. state and Bible belt. Documentary channels are interesting.
Thank you Charlie for a real good time! Adventures.. new beginnings.. reflecting on history, the past! our music “Dirty Town” .. I’m the luckiest girl in the world! We make music together.. in so many ways
Catching up on all the posts I've missed. What strikes me about this project is the rural fantasy these New York thesbians played out here provided vital jobs for dozens of masons during the early Depression years. Good find.
What a shame the house was destroyed by fire. It’s places like this I wish I could detect at...just think of all the history in the ground...great video Charlie and Jen!
That's a really beautiful area by the gorge. Madame Sherri's castle is really interesting. I will look it up on the internet when I get home. It's too bad vandals got to it. Another great video! Keep 'em coming!
Thats Ok, at least it keeps undesirable people from coming in and taking history. Maybe they will have a proper dig there someday to save some artifacts.
Oh I really enjoyed visiting 2 amazing places with you both, what a great shame that the castle was burnt down. Even so thats a gorgeous place to spend some time in. As for the gorge, it seems to be locked in a bygone era to me, and I too wonder how many people have fallen in the water. I love Not Thursday videos, they take me to places I never dreamt of going to. Thank you both for sharing your adventures with us. Mary-Ellen LFOD
Awesome. I've heard her name but never new about her whole story. Thanku for the road trip. There was a German family that built a castle hear in independence mo. And had all the stones brought over from Germany too build the castle. As a gift too the city they used the left over stones too build a archway bridge over truman rd.
Just imagine all the stuff that's probably lost in the ground there that will never be found. Where I live is surrounded by state parks and federal land and it's treasures and history will never be told other than old lost stories that will eventually fade away without physical proof/evidence of what had happened there..
although this comment is late, I hope you two get it. Nice job done visually, and I could appreciate how much you enjoyed the site, and the lot of work you put into this presentation.

Really loved the "Castle". Thanks for showing it to us. You reminded me of myself. The spontaneous stop to visit the Gorgeous Gorge. I have always done that on my carefully, meticulously planned trips.Unexpected attraction pops up...gotta check it out.And I must mention the music. Fit so well.
Was there a top the staircase with 4 friends when I about 16. We called out 3 times all together.. Madame Sherri! x3 then we all listened quietly. We come here the Madame's footsteps slowing walking down the staircase. Very cool! Like a clicking sound. I thought I saw an image of her standing on the left backside of the Mansion looking at us, but that could have been the beers playing possum haha great spot. Imo she is still there
I don't always comment, but I watch all of your videos. I really enjoy your channel. I can't travel anymore because of my health, and you take me to places I will never be able to go. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Every time I watch your videos I feel as if I am visiting your lovely part of the US, I see places I've never heard of, visit woods and fields, towns and pay my respects at cemeteries. You have opened up a whole new world for me and I am so thankful. Lovely places with wonderful friends, who could ask for more. Thank you my friends Mary-Ellen LFOD
Cool places ,did you take any long exposure shots of the waterfalls ;) cracking upload guys ;) you have to lose the passed to let the future start ,love them words ;)

Charlie and Jen, thank you for once again taking us on your adventure. You have shown us beautiful places, but also given us the history. Thank you again for showing us a beautiful part of New Hampshire.
The gorge is a great place, I used to live across the street on Atherton Hill. The mountain you came up just before it is closed a few times each year due to snowfall. Cars and tractor trailers spin their tires and can't make it up. There is also a camera on 24/7 in case of accidents.
And to remember back in school I hated history class but now at 55 years old I love it. Especially stone arches for some reason, they have been around for so long and still amazes me at how they can last longer than modern things

Interesting times indeed back then
What a shame the house was destroyed by fire. It’s places like this I wish I could detect at...just think of all the history in the ground...great video Charlie and Jen!
Thanks Rob, it is a real shame
It boggles my mind how they got those stone arches in place.
Same here michael
That's a really beautiful area by the gorge. Madame Sherri's castle is really interesting. I will look it up on the internet when I get home. It's too bad vandals got to it. Another great video! Keep 'em coming!

I bet this place was hit back in the 70's & 80's before it became protected, which im glad it is now. But i know what your saying.
stealth diggers I often forget how long metal detectors have been around. I agree it's probably a good thing some places are protected.
Awesome landscapes!!! Wow!!
Glad you enjoyed it Gail
although this comment is late, I hope you two get it. Nice job done visually, and I could appreciate how much you enjoyed the site, and the lot of work you put into this presentation.
If you like this place then you should check out Bancroft's Castle in Groton Massachusetts.

Love the way you integrated the past and the present on the castle. Watching NinJen and Charlie having fun was very enjoyable!
I don't always comment, but I watch all of your videos. I really enjoy your channel. I can't travel anymore because of my health, and you take me to places I will never be able to go. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Well Steven, we are sorry your health is poor but happy we can share the adventure with you. Thanks for commenting.

Great job Charlie. Very interesting. I love the ghost farming of the before and after pictures.
Thank you and glad you like them
Cool places ,did you take any long exposure shots of the waterfalls ;) cracking upload guys ;) you have to lose the passed to let the future start ,love them words ;)
I didn't do the long exposure she but i should have.....i will try to remember next time.
And thank you for the song compliment, Jen and I are proud of Dirty Town.
One day i will have to get your CD but the postage is mad ,maybe when my hoard sells i will get one with a hoodie ;) .by the way i might be on TV again ,will let you know .good luck out there ;)
Charlie and Jen, thank you for once again taking us on your adventure. You have shown us beautiful places, but also given us the history. Thank you again for showing us a beautiful part of New Hampshire.
Its our pleasure to share with all of you Denise
Love the music !!
Thanks so much Wayne, Jen and i wrote a lot of the songs in this one together .
The stairway just collapsed the other night!
The gorge is a great place, I used to live across the street on Atherton Hill. The mountain you came up just before it is closed a few times each year due to snowfall. Cars and tractor trailers spin their tires and can't make it up. There is also a camera on 24/7 in case of accidents.
How many fell into the stream ? My guess is, one, Smokin' Joe. Lol.
Oh man Danny hahahaha
And to remember back in school I hated history class but now at 55 years old I love it. Especially stone arches for some reason, they have been around for so long and still amazes me at how they can last longer than modern things
Camera work was phenomenal!
Thanks so much Megan. it feels great to do more on this channel
Until the 1980s, the central chimney for that fireplace was still standing - but it's since been toppled by vandals, probably trying to out-stupid one another. The Ann Stokes loop trail is a nice hike, connecting to the Daniels Mtn Loop making kind of a figure 8. Some nice vistas along the way.
Rocks ? Sorry!!!
Huh? Rocks?
i have been to both these locations many times. now the madames castle is definitely haunted. a few friends of mine have some pictures of orbs recordings of evp's. i have had experiences myself. you should do this one again but at night and see how different it feels than during the day.
Great video ......thank you for sharing your day
enjoyed!
Glad to hear John, thank you
