Shanks is always with his crew and almost never by himself unless in rare occasions. This woman we would have seen if she was a friend of shanks since we see his crew to a certain degree and no one was being hidden or obscured. So why would he be with an unknown person? 4. Shanks was found in a treasure chest in God Valley, why would Shanks return to serve the WG when his own father literally made him a prize in a tournament and Shanks never mentions his father so it is highly likely they have a strained relationship. 5. I doubt it's a clone I think it will be Shanks' brother that chose the WG and evil while this Shanks chose good and friends. This would make for interesting dynamic between the 2 instead of a boring clone.

I'd look into the lord of the rings, the gomu as a fruit clearly works just like 'the ring' does. That dynamic makes it so even shanks couldn't have stopped luffy from eating the fruit even if he knew luffy was eating it. And how else would shanks of tracked down the gomu gomu if he didn't have privileged government info, he may have even been intentionally sent to wipe out the cp members who now had too much info about the fruit after however they found it.

If that really was Shanks and not a twin or something who do you think the mysterious silhouette was on the spread with all of the yonko and leaders / notable members of various factions? Made sense for it to be the new leader of the Gods Knights / a Shanks twin. Only other notable character it could really be that *I* can think of is the man marked by flames, but if we find out who the man marked by flames is and it clearly doesn’t line up with that mystery silhouette on the spread (like if the MMbF is the *other* mystery silhouette man on elbaf) I think this theory falls apart as it would then be clear that the character back on that spread was Shanks’s twin.

This is a great explanation, i also think that there is no brother/clone. There is 1 issue though, in chapter 1121 on the last double page, a silрoette with sword and Shanks is showed separate
a good video and well-produced theory, but there are too many holes in the theory for me to be persuaded. theres been so many red herrings about shanks and his previous actions/bloodline that i can understand being confused, but narratively there would be too many loose ends conveniently cut off if your idea was how it truly plays out. 1. why were shanks' scars not visible during his God Knight moments? 2. why would the gorosei not be familiar with blackbeard, who was ALREADY A YONKO, if that 907 meeting was truly shanks? 3. why would shanks not know already where loki was if he were coming back to find him once again? in fact, if the most recent chapter were shanks and his God Knight subordinate teleporting to Elbaf, why would shanks be returning at all? There are many other holes to poke, but there is absolutely no way Shanks would be a true celestial dragon, or triple agent for that matter. there are too many sacrifices to live that kind of lifestyle that we've seen already from characters like Mjosgard and the other Donquixotes. I think many of these plot points you argue are caused by Shanks' bloodline are more easily explained by a) Shanks himself being crazy strong (true) and b) Shanks having an identical, evil twin brother. Occam's Razor usually comes out on top with One Piece, as long as there's ample setupe

My biggest thing against this twin brother idea is it only makes sense to me if this twin has to hide his identity since he shares his face with one of the most famous pirates. Because how has nobody in the story brought up the fact that Shanks is a celestial, and has a twin brother thats a god knight? My out there theory is - the government is fully aware that the Nika fruit has a will of its own and can only be utilized by a certain someone or group to get the one piece - shanks was tasked to set this up and assumed that the chosen one was Rogers son and went to give it to him but fate made luffy eat it. - shanks was shocked but bet his arm on luffy due to luffy having the same dream as roger - shanks has been making moves to ensure luffy reaches his goal - shanks is making moves to claim the one piece as luffy is close to his goal - shanks and the rest of his crew are god knights and will turn on luffy at the end to obtain the one piece for Imu

I have speculated that one of the gods knights who happened to be female would be based of the Amazonian empress Penthesilea who was one of the female 9 worthies characters who embody knightly aspects such as chivalry and that Penthesilea is known to carry a giant silver axe and judging from the bandaged woman's fringe I believe she could be the dead empress Tritoma brought back from the dead via black magic or an empress of Amazon Lily from further back in history if its not a resurrected empress then its a clone of the Rocks Pirate Silver Axe or Silver Axe's daughter raised by the World Government carrying her dads weapon.
I don't buy them being in Elbaf to just kill Loki. This is the issue with one piece arcs that are just beginning and making theories on them. People often tend to connect dots when it turns out more dots are in play then we are first given. The upcoming events with the mystery shanks is 100% the world governments "empire strikes back" moment. we'll learn soon enough whether it is regular shanks/twin/clone, but I severely doubt the gods knights are in elbaph just for loki. My biggest hope is that this "shanks" uses the first moment luffy drops his guard when meeting to kill luffy. (zoro will try to block the attack like killer, but also die) Then start an underworld arc where at the end luffy is resurrected back in elbaph thus giving more significance of the winter solstice festival (the celebration of the death & rebirth of the sun in elbaph). Robin will most likely be captured as well. a good video and well-produced theory, but there are too many holes in the theory for me to be persuaded. theres been so many red herrings about shanks and his previous actions/bloodline that i can understand being confused, but narratively there would be too many loose ends conveniently cut off if your idea was how it truly plays out.
1. why were shanks' scars not visible during his God Knight moments?
2. why would the gorosei not be familiar with blackbeard, who was ALREADY A YONKO, if that 907 meeting was truly shanks?
3. why would shanks not know already where loki was if he were coming back to find him once again? in fact, if the most recent chapter were shanks and his God Knight subordinate teleporting to Elbaf, why would shanks be returning at all?
There are many other holes to poke, but there is absolutely no way Shanks would be a true celestial dragon, or triple agent for that matter. there are too many sacrifices to live that kind of lifestyle that we've seen already from characters like Mjosgard and the other Donquixotes. I think many of these plot points you argue are caused by Shanks' bloodline are more easily explained by a) Shanks himself being crazy strong (true) and b) Shanks having an identical, evil twin brother. Occam's Razor usually comes out on top with One Piece, as long as there's ample setupe

This point is the strongest evidence for the twin idea for sure, I dont have a great answer but it could just be Oda is trolling us into believing theres a chance its not shanks or is using that to show Shank's duality of being a pirate and a God knight? When its God Knight Shanks we get that side of his face reflecting who hes being at that time. But this point can go either way, the fact that we dont see Shank's scar also doesnt discount that its not Shanks

So obviously the Gorosei were familiar with Blackbeard at this point but the only things they would know are the surface level stuff, he was on WBs crew, he somehow can eat two devil fruits, etc but they wouldn't know about his lineage or bloodline or why hes such a major threat to them. Shanks has been following Blackbeard and his movements ever since their battle that scarred him, up until that point I think Shanks was the only one to really know about some secret power Blackbeard has. And in chapter 1107 how would Saturn have learned about Blackbeards "bloodline"? Blackbeard was an orphan its not like theres some database with everyones info on it, it has to be because Shanks told the gorosei or we would have most likely gotten that deposition of blackbeards bloodline when all the gorosei talk about how in recorded history no one has ever eaten two devil fruits like blackbeard, if they knew about his bloodline then they could be like oh maybe its because of that?
3. I dont think i detailed this enough in the video, I think Shanks is still a good guy and is being forced to be a God Knight for some unknown reason, he obviously knows where Loki is but isnt going to tell this other God Knight that, in hoping they dont succeed in their plans.
My biggest thing against this twin brother idea is it only makes sense to me if this twin has to hide his identity since he shares his face with one of the most famous pirates. Because how has nobody in the story brought up the fact that Shanks is a celestial, and has a twin brother thats a god knight? It would be one thing if the celestials never leave the holy land but we know they do so IMO word would get out about this. Now if this character is a shanks clone that makes waaaay more sense to me.

My out there theory is
- the government is fully aware that the Nika fruit has a will of its own and can only be utilized by a certain someone or group to get the one piece
- shanks was tasked to set this up and assumed that the chosen one was Rogers son and went to give it to him but fate made luffy eat it.
- shanks was shocked but bet his arm on luffy due to luffy having the same dream as roger
- shanks has been making moves to ensure luffy reaches his goal
- shanks is making moves to claim the one piece as luffy is close to his goal
- shanks and the rest of his crew are god knights and will turn on luffy at the end to obtain the one piece for Imu
given Imu's shapeshifting and Imu's room being called the phantom room I think Imu has the bakemono devil fruit as the word bakemono means phantom and the control of Shanks is your traditional ghostly procession powers of the phantom devil fruit

I have speculated that one of the gods knights who happened to be female would be based of the Amazonian empress Penthesilea who was one of the female 9 worthies characters who embody knightly aspects such as chivalry and that Penthesilea is known to carry a giant silver axe and judging from the bandaged woman's fringe I believe she could be the dead empress Tritoma brought back from the dead via black magic or an empress of Amazon Lily from further back in history if its not a resurrected empress then its a clone of the Rocks Pirate Silver Axe or Silver Axe's daughter raised by the World Government carrying her dads weapon.
I don't buy them being in Elbaf to just kill Loki. This is the issue with one piece arcs that are just beginning and making theories on them. People often tend to connect dots when it turns out more dots are in play then we are first given. Like remember when people thought Big Mom was gonna end up allying with Luffy against Kaido? i am banking on it being something new. Maybe something connected to the actual events of the King's death.

Well its a cool theory, definitely possible but the main thing against it is that Oda always foreshadows things in the past arcs and this is completely new which is not bad but it sure makes it less plausible.

Its possible he was in the chest because he was one of the prizes.I doubt that Garling (as bad as he may be) would treat his own son, who is presumably a celestial himself, like a slave. So what if Shanks is a clone. Possibly one considered "failed." Maybe the "twin" is actually a "successful" clone. Could explain a lot.

The upcoming events with the mystery shanks is 100% the world governments "empire strikes back" moment. we'll learn soon enough whether it is regular shanks/twin/clone, but I severely doubt the gods knights are in elbaph just for loki. My biggest hope is that this "shanks" uses the first moment luffy drops his guard when meeting to kill luffy. (zoro will try to block the attack like killer, but also die) Then start an underworld arc where at the end luffy is resurrected back in elbaph thus giving more significance of the winter solstice festival (the celebration of the death & rebirth of the sun in elbaph). Robin will most likely be captured as well.
This is the most exciting time to guess as what direction the arc will be going, the possibilities are endless for this short time there isn't a direct threat happening to the straw hats, thanks for reading my schizo theory
