Tip: If you’re going to use a tame for the cave, make sure you place them on “passive.” Don’t have them on anything else because you will lose them in a lava pool or off a cliff. Also, don’t have your tame on “follow” either because the same thing will happen.
I have completed this cave many times, when my character was relatively lower level, with a Dire Wolf. It was fairly easy. Do not use the wolf for the lava jumps for the artifact. I used the wolf primarily to clear out the "mobs" of creatures in certain areas. The loot is significantly on the lower end of the weapons/armor spectrum (Fur armor, double barrel shot gun, pikes, simple pistols, and longneck rifles) but for the ease of the cave it's worth it.

Double barrel shotgun, especially a mastercraft or ascendant one is low key overpowered yet underutilized. When you can double tap a level 180 rex, you know you have something that is overpowered.

I found the artifact without a hitch, but i could not jump out of the area where the artifact was. so, me, being me, decided to jump in the lava and die. Now, i had an otter on my shoulder, and he was keeping me cool while in the cave. I jumped into the lava WITH HIM STILL ON MY SHOULDER! Harry otter, i miss you.
thank you! my first two runs i got a ascendant pike and a master craft revolver. i think that the more you do it, the easier it gets with the better weapons. if on easy mode, you can die and keep the artifact.
thanks so much. It took me like 3 or 4 tries but I finally did it. I had to come back to the video a lot cuz I kept getting lost. Not only did I get a ramshackle rifle, which of course is better than normal for taming, which I do a lot of, but I also finished the artifact of the massive pursuit. THANKS SO MUCH! 😊😊 Edit: I now have a 70% chance of doing it. Depends on my path. I keep running it and I got journeyman stuff:)

Just do what Schwalbe did at the start where he puts a chest to store your things in the entrance and once you get the artifact, you can simply die to the creatures in the cave. When you respawn, you’ll have the artifact in your inventory (Just tested this and got a journey man shotgun and a balm)
Bruh how come the cave was empty i was being harrased by seventy million scorpions spiders and bats so i decided to do it with armor and then i glitched under the map
It's because it's probably a different difficulty or u guys play on multiplayer instead of single player or something or just unlucky and gets alot of bats lmfaoo
If you struggle alot with doing the naked run i find it easier to do it with a baryonyx i did it with only a level 60 baryonyx but you need to be careful with the lava right next to the artifact i recommend just taming a bunch of barys
This video was very helpful! I died though... But im on easy so when i respawned i had the artifact anyway so it still helped! I didnt really lose anything useful, only some waterskins and parachute and food
You got real lucky, I always get loads of bats everywhere. Also, instead of jumping just put down foundations and connect them with ceilings to make bridges. You can make little towers with ladders to climb up/down too, that way you risk less and can go back the way you came.
Pro tip: bring 3 dire wolf dire wolf has pack boost when there are 2 pack of dire wolves and 1 vulture a and daedon daedon will heal you and your tames and vulture can easily kill bats and bugs hope this helped
note: a regular lava cave has billions of spiders, scorpos, and bats. They will quite literally make a barrier. and beware, if a scorpion holds you between its arms, you are gonna die.

Pro Tip: Go balls to the walls with cloth gear, water skin, a couple of eggs, and stimberries. Works like 80 percent of the time if you just constantly RUN.
I did this in the very early days of ark mobile and you could literally just walk right through without anythin agroing on you (idk if it was just a glitch for me but it was pretty sick)
To make your life easier, just take a sabertooth/direwolf or any other cave mount that can jump, clear everything in your way and don't take your mount to the place where you have to jump for the artifact, do it on foot since it's risky. I died 10+ times because of the huge amount of creatures in there on foot, but with my 231 sabertooth, it only took one try.
thank you sooooooo much this video was somewhat easy to follow and i did the cave first try (tip: i used a decent level raptor which i didnt even need to jump off of once all you need is good stamina,health-i had 2k health,damage and speed raptors can jump which made the parkour parts even easier) im just kinda sad you dont play ark mobile no more :(
To all the people that say tons of things spawn in the cave and she has no spawning, the first time you go through the cave there are tons of creatures, the second time, after you killed all of them there are maybe like 3
If you play on ez, all u gotta do is grab it and die bc the artifact is bound to the player. After you die enter the cave again until the pursuit says started, and then leave
I don't like running lava because you end up dying way to easily. Best way is to bring a sword, which you can get from the terror bird pursuit, and a decent set of flak and a few jars of water and maybe stimulants for your first couple of runs. That's the way I've had the most success
I did the cave with my op assault rifle that does 356 dmg and it “only” took 1000 bullets to clear the whole path but when I went to tribute the artifact I got an ascendant crossbow that does 347 dmg 👏🏻and some fur plus a soothing balm
1000 ammo? damn I would never use 2k metal juste for one cave. I run this cave with 1 terror bird 1 calien soup 1 dimo on follow mode and some med brews lol.. 1000 ammo damn, I dont even use that much for the master controller boss

I got to bottom on a saber then got pushed by a mob on the platform into the lava, saved myself then got instantly thrown in. Having the top range ipad like these youtubers are using must be great instead of a tiny phone
I just did this cave with ease with a Raptor. I didn't have any difficulties, maybe because I have a transcendent saddle. Also I dont have any problem with the water thingy too

I usually bridge the first two jumps, but you can’t bridge off the two before the artifact unfortunately, so I just make sure to be super careful there.
how are there so little enemies in the video there’s is like at least 30 of them blocking the ledge before the first jump it’s literally impossible to get by without killing them, even then they respawn in like 5 minutes and it just creates a never ending loop
I legit ran this cave with no clothes and no items and got out with the artifact. It’s easy because of the lack of enemies. Most of the land creatures fall in lava and the bats are too slow for anything.

I prefer getting the artefact of the strong because its way more easy, no need to use the jump button, and the reward are more worth it
Casual option saves the day. You will loose everything but ur hotbar or armor will stay

Is a Baryonyx any good for this?
Also make sure to grab your creatures implant and put it in a box before doing the cave, so you could revive the creature in case you lose them.

I don't like running lava because you end up dying way to easily.
