- Detroit's own, The Floaters doing a remake of the classic "Love Land". I (Jerry Carr) produced, arranged and played keyboards on this track. Guitar:Kevin Carter, Bass Guitar: Bubba Scales, Drums:Buster Marbury. All vocals were done by The Floaters.
Sad to hear that Larry (pictured left) has passed. I remember meeting The Floaters circa 2012 after they put on a great concert in the DMV and getting their "The Way We Were" EP. "Loveland" became my favorite track instantly. Glad it's now on UA-cam. Thx for posting! 😊

this guys on the picture are or where the original singer of that great band from the 1977 and to think this was 41 years ago i done know how old they were but they are around 69 or 70 years old
Not quite that old, I went to Pershing high school with some of them. I'm 63 their ages are between 63- 67, to date 8/11/20. Yes we are getting there.
@@elliottbracken9986 that may not be true because in the video where they are singing with the blue get up they look like they are around 26 years old. and that was Larry Cunningham so from 1977 to 2020. is 43 years so 43+26=69 so Larry would have been 69 today I when to Google and found all that imfo,Larry died january 10-2019
@@CharlieRogersMusic the only problem with that it was posted 2 years ago. And I distinctly remember Paul Mitchell, and his twin sister Janice being in my class .he may have been a year or two older than me but he dropped out Of high school to sing with the group . I can't account for all of their status, but they but were very known throughout the neighborhood Eastside of Detroit Davidson. ( rising stars) I graduated from Pershing high in June 7 1974. Rest in Peace Larry.
In 77 I was 21,+43 years later =64 September 8th.IJS
@@elliottbracken9986 I'm talking about Larry Cunningham he was born in 1951 so in 1977 he was 26 he died 2019 so Larry was 68 years old when he died. I don't which one was your friend but Larry was 68 in 2019,you have to remember they where not the same age.
