I am also a Mets fan,and I have my reservations about both Pete and Juan. I don’t care about winning the back page,but championships. We have a good farm and some kids like Jett Williams,Drew Gilbert,and maybe even Carson Benge as well who should be knocking on the door to Queens.Not to mention Ronnie Mauricio and Baty who I am not prepared to give up on yet. And this is just on the offensive side. Without going on too much longer,I am more keen on investing in pitching even though we have some studs in the minors in Tong and Sproat and we should have a healthy Senga. One could never ever have too much pitching. LGM ❤.
You replace Pete with Soto in this lineup and the Mets would be crazy next year. I dont think we really need him but if we dont re sign Pete he`d make a great replacement. The Mets have a deep rotation and they have some young talented arms on the verge of coming up.

Interesting interview. As a Met fan, I don't want Soto, and I definitely don't want Pete back.
The Mets fans here are out of their minds….for lack of better words….not getting Soto OR keeping Pete is insane. One needs to be on the team.
