Simply superb. The best rendition of this wonderful piece I have ever heard. Languidly paced, Katrin at her best, and simply orchestrated. Handel's tribute to Purcell. Im sure that both of those celestial luminaries would have loved this performance.
For someone to say that he or she prefer one version rather than another has the right to express their opinion, but to pass judgment to which is better, is an insult to all the magnificent performers, who are as professional, as any who are judged, and down graded, James Bowman, Elin Manahan, Listyn Davis and all the others, they are all superb, and his absurd to say than one is better then others

My favourite composer of all times is Händel and I dare to say that I am a kind of a Handel expert through more than 5 decades of my life. But this performance took my breath away. Both the singer and the trumpeter are totally amazing. They really nail it. What more can I say? I enjoyed it very much and I played it many more times. Congratulations to the two of you!

I think this singer pips her at the post .By the way a big up to David Blackadder who played trumpet at the Harry and Megan wedding . He was a couple of years ahead of me at college and is a magnificent musician and it was great to see a glimpse of him performing at the royal wedding ceremony
Excellent fraseggio, very good technique, but the voice is not round, she lacks musicality. It is not her fault. You are born with the gift of a voice, and she is not. Again, she is very very good but... There are plenty of other recordings of this music on line you can listen to. Handle was a genius.
Why are you voicing such cruel words, when there is nothing she can change about that? She has a voice! It‘s clear, bright and light. Not worth less because you havethe impression that „a voice“ should be only one type.

She is a professional and as such should be aware of her limits; and since there is space for some improvements, she should work on them before she posts public videos. I never said there is only one type of voice. We are blessed with an infinite type of voices; that does not change the fact that she lacks musicality and she could round her voice. I praised what was to be praised. It seems to me from most of the comments that the the majority of the listeners do not have a classical musical education and have not a trained ear or sophisticated taste as singers are concerned. Yes, there are other performances I prefer to hers, but it has nothing to do with my observation about her voice. Still, I enjoyed the music of Handle, the real hero, the real star, the real genius.
