Incorrect description. You can't be arrested in UK for not wearing a seatbelt. It's a traffic offence and carries a maximum penalty of £500. You would only be arrested for a criminal offence. Taxi drivers with passengers are exempt but not when they have no passengers. In some cases you can get a medical exemption.

@@neilfoster814 The stupid seat belt law is a lot differnt than drunk driving or MOT. Insurance, MOT, drunk driving are a bit ore important than a useless seat belt law.
