I know the OPPO phone that this is rebranded from does have stylus support so I'm hoping they've kept that functionality and not removed it but there's been no mention on it. Thats the only thing that would keep me from purchasing since it's pretty essential for me.
I absolutely love all these companies jumping into the foldable market. More competition is only great for the consumer. I still get comments from people, either at work, or while I'm out, when I pull out my Z fold. It's amazing how so many people still aren't aware of the foldable market. There is definitely going to be some major growth in the market, and I'm here for it. Great video!

As an all in Apple User, I have unfortunately become bored with the lack of foldable options and have looked towards the Pixel Fold and Fold5. This may genuinely be the phone that switches me. I do wonder what software support looks like, as Google’s 7 Year promise, and getting updates super quick, has me looking towards the Pixel Fold 2
It's 4 years, idk if there's an additional year of security updates like a samsing or not either but regardless unlike with ios, old Android versions functionally never stop being supported by apps within reason. Like 5 year old Android versions are still supported on nearly all Android apps and while im less familiar with obsolete ios support ik my mate's 5S had things like Chrome and reddit along with other major apps stop suppirting his phone a single year after it stopped getting new ios versions. Thats insane.
My favorite phone company finally did it! Ive been a OnePlus user since the OnePlus 5T! Today i use a OnePlus Nord, lets hope this foldable gets affordable

OnePlus is one of the few companies I'm aware of that go through this kind of torture testing. LG was the only other phone company that I knew of that did torture tests like this, hence their Military ratings and phenomenal IP68 ratings on a bunch of their phones. Sadly LG doesn't make phones anymore.
4:00 Samsung's brushes are a MUCH better solution to material ingress protection than some layers of adhesive. 🤷 Samsung's hinges have some downsides but that is NOT one of them.
Nice! Its good to see how they put their phones through testing. I'm sure many manufacturers do this, or at least outsource it to firms; but I bet there are many others that don't. Just goes to show why OnePlus is so popular, 'cause they test their devices and then make them better.
I'm genuinely excited to see foldable catching on. I've been holding onto my Fold3 for a bit now waiting for real camera quality bumps and a slightly wider front screen. A stylus is a must too. Really rounds out the whole package. Maybe Samsung will take note, pun intended, of the competition and make a bigger front display.

I've been aching for a foldable for close to 3 years but since I heard the rumor of one plus doing one I hold my horses and by what it seems it's gonna be worth it. My one plus 7pro died a few months after years from the release, a truly apex flagship killer.
Love this phone! Great battery life, grest front screen, beautiful inner screen, thin, lightweight and a very solid camera Ive returned every foldable ive ever bought within a couple days. Ive had this one for a month and love it. It has kept me away from my pixel 8 pro and 15 pro
I like that OnePlus is not just doing Marques this year like every other company. This is earned for Me mobile who has been team foldable since day one.
The ends to which they are going to market this with reviewers across the world gives me hope that they're truly coming out to compete and further push competition with Google and Samsung for the best Android devices in the U.S. I can't wait for the reveal and the full review! A good enough trade in value and ill be switching to oneplus!

If it weren't for their G logo on the back and carrier trade-in programs very few people would've even considered a 1st gen Pixel Fold for $1,800.00.

@@jomeyqmalone I change when my contract is up every 2 years, I do have insurance also if it cracks. Although it is better than before, these soft screens can still crack. Sometimes it's just the screen protector though that cracks.
I also got (and love) a Fold 5 and what I really hope is for the competition to match samsung's excellent software (and form factor if possible as I really like it on the fold) at a smaller price because even with a good deal it still cost at least 1500€ which is a lot to spend when you have to do it every 2-4 years at best

@@NormalCleanCarsJust remember not to remove the screen protector. Even though it's removable. Both my Z Flip 5G and Z Fold 2 started cracking after removing the screen protector. I'm already on my 5th foldable phone. Just bought a Xiaomi MIX Fold 3.
How about the digitizer? I thought it being exposed in foldables was a huge durability issue. The flush design on Pixel fold meant any small particle caught between the screens when folding would bring in dead spots.And this was common issue in other foldable as well, to a slightly lesser extent.

You really think the fold 5 will only last two years? I thought they fixed the screen cracking etc
@@jomeyqmalone I change when my contract is up every 2 years, I do have insurance also if it cracks. Although it is better than before, these soft screens can still crack. Sometimes it's just the screen protector though that cracks.
I also got (and love) a Fold 5 and what I really hope is for the competition to match samsung's excellent software (and form factor if possible as I really like it on the fold) at a smaller price because even with a good deal it still cost at least 1500€ which is a lot to spend when you have to do it every 2-4 years at best
@@Mfire33 yes agreed on the pricing, at least Samsung gives a decent trade-in if you want to go to let's say Fold 7. I'll probably always stay with Samsung just because of the software , unless OnePlus or others blows my mind with software idk
@@NormalCleanCarsJust remember not to remove the screen protector. Even though it's removable. Both my Z Flip 5G and Z Fold 2 started cracking after removing the screen protector. I'm already on my 5th foldable phone. Just bought a Xiaomi MIX Fold 3.
Honestly this phone has me looking at one plus again after a long time i cant wait to see more especially that price tag
I've been using an LG Wing ever since it came out, but this is the first foldable to REALLY entice me with these durability features

How about the digitizer? I thought it being exposed in foldables was a huge durability issue. The flush design on Pixel fold meant any small particle caught between the screens when folding would bring in dead spots.And this was common issue in other foldable as well, to a slightly lesser extent.
