Something I want to correct and add. First you can change spells in the dungeons. Second I recommend replacing ram's, ultra, shift, or blood drain with toad oil and ink jet when you get the path dungeon because it helps with durability. I've done handful of these maps and some tips I can ould give: -If you forget toad oil + other spell accidentally when you open new chest, just run away from the chest and swap the spells then. The adds wont despawn -Right after the tankbuster the boss will do very fast auto attack right after, so it's very important to be full health just in case. I failed few of my first maps because of it -white wind heals according to your hp when you cast it instead of your current hp, so for example if you have 100% and you see the boss casting tankbuster, you can precast white wind which heals you back to max hp with one cast
Appreciate the guide a lot I love treasure maps and don’t always have people to do them with knowing it’s possible with blue mage I’m going to try it just gotta get the spells now thank you again
This video motivated me to start learning to do these solo and I started having a lot of fun with it since I love Blue Mage. Took some failed maps and some bruises but I got the hang of it. AND TODAY I GOT THE BEAVER! Take my subscription as well as my eternal gratitude!
I’ve been swapping out my Ram’s + Ultra with Peat + Clean for extra safety with summoned packs, but I didn’t know add packs inside could be frozen too! Schiltron and WW are probably better to bring along instead.
Hello! Which maps are realistically doable time and skillwise solo? I imagine hc players can do all sorts of fancy stuff, but up to what maps may casuals safely aproach?
So funnily enough after doing the stormblood ones I think the shadowbringers ones are actually easier. You don't seem to take as much damage and for some reason in stormblood all add spawned by roulette bosses seem to be immune to freeze where as in shadowbringers their not. Moreover, as long as your not greedy in shadowbringers roulette maps and always heal before a tankbuster you'll rarely come close to dying. As for the path dungeon if you use ink jet and toad oil you'll remove a lot of the damage that the packs are able to do making it pretty safe. As for time, no matter which map you do the clear speed it rather fast. I would say it's about on par with doing it with a party.
@@TheNastyNamazu Are you sure that shadowbringer adds are immune to freeze? Every add i've faced has been immune to freeze in shadowbringer, same as every mob and while the damage isn't high on their own, they've ended up overwhelming me every time which is quite annoying
@@gayscruffy5041 Everything time a boss spawned adds I was able to freeze them with the exception of the final bosses which are unique and the mandragora(if you just let them group then breath they shouldn't be much issue). As for the mobs if you check the pinned comment I further recommended changing vibration and blood drain when getting into the path dungeon(I was mistaken and you can change spells once inside) for toad oil and ink jet as it will greatly reduce the damage the mob of enemies is able to do to you.
@@gayscruffy5041 path dungeons adds and roulette dungeon adds spawned by bosses are different. in the path dungeons freeze rarely works. for those i use bad breath to debuff the hell out of them.
Glad you liked it, and I do highly recommend trying it as it really is fun if somewhat addicting. I found myself logging in a few times just to run a couple maps then logging off.
I've been trying to solo Zonureskin maps but I'm still getting smacked real bad by mobs. Ive tried both Tank and Healer but feel like im having to cast healing almost every other cast. Is that normal? (Gear is 530, Crit/SPS)
So if you look at the pinned comment I made some corrections first you can changes spells once you enter so you can switch off things that are useless inside and second if your doing the path dungeon where you have to deal with alot of mobs equipping toad oil and ink jet will greatly increase your survivability. As for the roulette dungeon they will hit relatively hard, but as long as you are at full health when a tb happens you should be fine.
There is only 1 bonus gold NM that I can’t beat, the one that uses magic hammer and a water attack. I never have enough MP to survive those back to back attacks. Any recommendations???
@@bastianzaphire9070 While using tank you should be able to survive a the hammer with no mit just make sure to be topped off before it after that you can use a couple white winds to heal then gate as he always follows up with the stack once the damage goes off use a swift rehydration which will get you back to a safe amount of health. @@bastianzaphire9070 I'll usually just face tank the hammer making sure to cast white wind during the cast so if finishes casting when the damage happens, then i'll do another wind immediately after then I'll gate the stack using a swift rehydration to heal the damage. You can also hard cast rehydration during attacks like that as well where there is a lot of down time and that'll save you a lot of mana. Nice video i try to make solo map as blue mage with the spell you give but i always get killed on the first fight since i take too much damage. I hope i just need to keep trying and maybe i will be successful soon. I have the 124 spell so if there a better way i'm all ears.
The best advice I can give is just make sure that you activate both mighty and basic anytime you actually get into the dungeon, and don't be afraid to play it safe and heal often until ideally using rehydration whenever your able.
I can say for a fact that every shadowbringer boss can be killed be done solo. I'm less sure for storm just because I don't know if I've done them all, but the one's I have fought I never had an issue with.
@@TheNastyNamazu Agreed, I only wish that the maps were cheaper on the MB. On my DC they're going for about 40k which is way more than you'll likely get from doing the map yourself, unless you both get a portal and get some good drops without getting kicked out quick
@@limontree476 I have generally made more than I have spent. When you have all the loot funneled into you you'll usually get something of worth that will let you make your money back. Also you can get good stuff just from opening the chest like calf leather.
idk how tank mode helped you, i went in and got three shot even with mighty guard, i didnt have time to cast white wind before i dropped to 5% health, then took the last hit. it was the keepers, in your video they just stood there, but in my run they chased me and absolutely wrecked me, so idk what the difference is, but i spent so long trying to get this set up and its a bust
Without seeing what you doing I can't say for sure, but as for the keepers spawned by the keeper boss they are passive until attacked so if you're having a hard time with them just avoid any aoe attacks until they eventually despawn.
