So much respect to Tyler for starting this project from scratch and achieving it. He’s pushing the genre forward and I hope it becomes bigger than he expected.
29:14 That idea of changing vocalists each year and making different concepts is a great idea. Getting the same vocalists all together with free time would be a nightmare. Making a super group has risks like that, but keep changing the names and it’ll work better. Drop an EP each year with different vocalists. 🙌🏾
Chill on the multiple paragraphs, my man. It's not that crazy
That would be cool. Each one being it's own era
@@iwatchtoomuchyt9281bruh that was A paragraph

@@skooparoonie3202 bros gotta go back to Fuckin middle school apparently 😂 3 sentences overloaded his brain
Tyler is legit just a dude. And I mean that in the best way possible. Like he's a bro. So down to earth and deals with all that shit the same way almost any of us would. Massive props to him and the team for everything. Can't wait to see what this project has instore for us!
Hell yeah. Love that you had Tyler on. Was really great to hear about the very beginning back in FL. We were all apart of that musical community. Tyler and I even recorded a deathcore song together at my house with 4 other vocalists. Maybe I can dig it up and remix it for everyone to hear if Tyler or anyone else wants to hear it!🤘🏻🔥Those were the good old days! Much love Tyler and proud of what you’ve done 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The lush locks of deathcore
Lol
Glad im not the only one who thought so
Tyler is dead serious when he speaks of his ambitions and dreams, plus his incredible humble attitude
He gives credit where it's due
Tyler sets the example of how our community should be represented
He is essentially one of the beautiful faces that puts forward what the actual image and sound of our community should be
let's also emphasize him opening up about his past, vulnerability, professionalism and the amount of love he pours into this world
what a fucking great man!
What an incredibly nice and thoughtful person! I didn't know him or Traitor, but came across the big six/project vengeance, and will check out the rest! I totally dig this sort of content where people like Nik have actually long and free conversations with inspiring musicians, so thank you for this!
I don’t know why so many people wanted to believe the circumstances were so personal and melodramatic when anyone who knows anything about any facet of the entertainment industry knows this stuff happens on the reg once business gets involved.
Exactly the kind of uninteresting, bureaucratic, red tape bullshit that ruins the creation of art all the time. Glad to see everyone involved was able to regroup and recalibrate, onward and upward. 🤙🏻
they should get josh travis writing some riffs id cry tears of pure happiness
I second this
Infant Annihilator touring would be nuts. Couldn't imagine playing their sets every night if possible. Talk about draining.
I fucking love when I see all new deathcore in the new music section on a Friday
Tyler is one of my all time favorite deathcore vocalist keep up the good work both of you
Would love to see Tyler commentating for the NHL! Also im so excited to se someone FINALLY doing something like Project Vengeance. I cant wait for all the content, all seem like awesome dudes
I love metal YT , First time Tyler Talked about this project was with Mark on Kardavox academy. And I was hype af .
I'm glad it's going hard.
And Tyler's Fuck labels diy attitude is Fucking Phenomenal.
I was personally excited for this project from day one and am still excited for what’s to come, didn’t understand the hate, this interview was dope!
Fantastic podcast episode. Lots of great information and clarity. Also I now very much want to play with Tyler in Rocket League, and hit a lightning game
Need a NASCORE tour with Miss May I, Traitors, and Avoid
When the King got his crown denied he made his own Kingdom 🔥
There's nothing better than the community we all have.🤘🤘🤘 Love this video
Kinda surprised nobody has timestamped this yet.
Justin's vocal range is crazy. I remember seeing Tallah when they were just a local band from PA ❤ my old Tallah merch is still holding up
Holy shit thank you Nic for a very long one with my boy Tyler🤯
Would kill for some Tyler OSRS content on twitch 👀
I love Tyler bro, one of my biggest idols in the game! My band here in Australia have a plan to stay independent. I want to eventually start my own label called Mass Release Studios. And that will be a label to help bands understand how good but shit this life is, how to grow and be successful while on their own. Think of us like a kick start.
1, we won’t own anything you do.
2, we’ll assist in everything we can while taking a smaller cut as bands need to make as much as possible
3, as you guys mentioned, labels compete about release dates. We will assist in making more big bands and small bands have music released around the the same time! New FFAA? New traitors? All on the same playlist, maybe the label UA-cam account without taking any royalties, just people helping metal become a better place and helping everyone grow
Basically a none greedy label that doesn’t own you.
I’ll teach everything I learn on the way 👌 plus we’ll organise more bigger shows locally and record sick shows/gigs
IA on a tour is what the world needs
What a great dude, great podcast!
Seen Traitors a few months ago, it was my first metal show. It was a fun night.🖤
I'm rooting for Project: Vengeance. Great interview 🤘
Bruh Kim Dracula is doing Trap Metal right too!
Tyler is the fucking man
Tyler looks like a young ozzy 🤘🏻
Love this guy!
Deathcore lore. Be a sick title or series to start
The moment I heard Tyler perform dead nerves I knew guy was going to kick some serious ass and look at him now!
big yes on the project vengeance slam and doom metal🙏🖤
If he can get that tour going. I would literally shit a brick and go anywhere I need to go and spend all my money’s to go
Already Subbed to P:V.
Great interview btw though brother I never knew Tyler was this cool
Can you please upload your podcast with BFMV?
With the band remaining just the 5 means they can possibly release the other song as just feats
If they all went camping together, I can't even imagine how much they could freak out other campers with 5+ professional monster noise makers.
🤘🏼 hell yeah
Hell fuck yeah niknok podcast!!!
God damnit Nik stop interrupting! 😂
Lmaooooo at Phil Bozeman ❤
He sounds like a metal version of Wendigoon
I was introduced to Tyler through a meme video he posted on instagram where he vocalized a song from Super Mario 64. I was laughing brains out. Shortly after I got hooked on Traitors :)
I remember first hearing deathcore like 10-15 years ago and the genre being pretty incompatible with my tastes at the time. So I just mentally categorized it as “not music I listen to.”
As someone who initially bounced off deathcore really hard, it’s funny this current era of it has helped me in rediscovering my love of music. Because of bad ADHD (among other things) novelty is necessary to keep my interest, and all the unexpected influences and out-of-the-box ideas in the scene over the past few years really grabbed me.
So it’s frustrating to see people shit on such creative, fun endeavours like this, calling them “corny” or “cringe” for doing their best at something new & actively risking failure. Not only that, but I hate the sense of entitlement toward content and the resentment toward sincerity & genuine artistic expression; so many people get so uncomfortable when they see artists in the entertainment industries make something even partly for themselves instead of just putting out product.
Keep it up, keep it weird, keep it real. 🤙🏻
This ! When I first heard of Project Vengeance I got so excited and never understood why people automatically hated on it and bashed the first release. Your comment should be higher up, cuz you've explained it so well 👌
i can’t get over how gorgeous Tyler’s hair is 😍
Psychostick is fun music for sure.
Tyler Shelton looks like the guy from faith no more🤘
I pretty much need to see Ben Durr at some point
Tyler is such a good dude. The guy cares 🤘🏻❤ them Florida vocalists built different 🤣
man you have to get darius on here, there is no recent interviews with him or spite. PLEASEEEEE
If they ever do features I feel like a Sam Carter blegh is in need lolol kidding... Sort of, but, Sam would be an interesting feed.
I recommend 3 fun songs
3 fast songs
3 heavy/melodic songs
Good concept
I would kill to have Tyler's hair. Sell me a part of it.
1:23:45 literally spit my drink out laughing
Tyler needs the boys from traitors to write a song for project vengeance
Villians/Yuth Forever did dabbled into trapcore ish stuff and it was great :)
🔥🤘🏻💀 this was fucking awesome!😁PROJECT: VENGEANCE ✊🏻💯🖤
I got to take a picture with Tyler a while back. I was definitely being supppper cringe but Tyler was cool about it lol
I didnt know Tyler liked runescape.... this guy is an al around cool dude now
With that trap metal conversation, there's already plenty of good artists that could be mainstream but the record labels don't wanna push solo people because it's harder to take advantage of them. Listen to Depth Strida, Fenrir, and SHUSH to start. All great artists that aren't just a bunch of scratchy yelling
Where the fuck is the new traitors album
No idea
Gotta make a trap metal beat for the project
I respect project vengeance
Nik has turned into a good interviewer.
Tyler just tease the Sausage Castle?
“The LIVE 5”
Tyler did a Song with Jake Hill it's called Doom and it's sick as fuck.
Trap metal had a small wave it might get big one day.
That pov is the problem with metal. I got a platinum record from doing it (4.06), yet people are still acting like it was never big, when the reality is that people are just afraid to commit to something weird.
@@Heartful the problem with metal? Dude I said nothing negative the fuck are you on about?
Trap Metal had a moment , it was cool, There was band called EvOlution for a bit that did a bunch of cool shit and vanished
Bones has been doing it since before most
Ghostmane and A few others hyperpopularized it and like any other Trend it became rapidly oversaturated and tiresome as a listener.
The cool thing is , Now that the Trend is dead. There's room for actual growth as a more popular subgenre , Instead of it being Just a weird chapter in music history .
And if that's a bad take in your opinion so be it.
City morgueee
Regarding Trap Metal - peeps are sleeping on Dropout Kings!
This^^^
Osrs hahah love it
Grim Salvo kills the trap metal thing
I like the idea of having female-fronted projects. We need more women in metal and we need to offer them the space to become visible.
They exist, but aren't very well executed. Not bashing on the concept; just wishing such projects would sound as good and last as well.
Dying Wish is hitting the scene in full force right now. They're objectively good and bringing back a sick style of moshing metalcore.
My band has a female vocalist, and I'm the harsh vocalist. We're called Final Confession, check us out if you feel like it!
🙏 please. there can be true unity in the scene I love this and I agree
@@collinhuston6895 Thanks! I'm also a female vocalist in a post-rock band with metal influences so I'm always keen on discovering new acts with female vocalists
I love men
BROOO he know jake??? Shit bro they have to make a song now
Gonna go look for this camping property now, I guarantee it’s less than an hour away from me
TLDR: contacts.
this footage they're talking about should just be "leaked" so there's no one to blame lol
Playboy cartis live shows are trap metal , nik please react to his most recent rolling live set.
😂 dude when u gonna come back to fayettville were not done 😅 epic nights
Idk about infant annihil!tor touring tbh
Is Chris fronzak still part of this?
I love how passionate he is, and he seems super cool. But man.. I hope the rest of the project is better than that single.
Shush ❤
Wheres fronz
Let me set the scene. I skipped school one day and was at my friend's house down the road smoking with the window open. I heard blood curdling screams and some insane lows that scared TF out of me at first. I looked out the window and realized it was Tyler and was like "YOOOOO THAT IS SO F***ING SICK BRO"
I often reflect on that memory, and seeing what he does now makes me proud af!
keep podcasting brother
You can't differ your content AT ALL from that Phil Mckinney guy? idek know his name by heart and can see your guys content is looking drastically similar
Who's this Tyler Shelton weirdo? 😉😘
can we say this is the first metal boyband ever?
Arent most deatchore bands nowadays made of boys
@@WHOREHAMMER_OFFICIAL but most boy bands consist of multiple vocalist
@@JGM_Visuals so that would include angelmaker, babirusu, i prevail, beyond deviation and crow the empire at one point
@@WHOREHAMMER_OFFICIAL pretty much but I guess more than 2 idk the actual definition but most consisted of like 4 +
phil needs to stop being silly and hop on a track
Naw man dropout kings did it better!!
It’s glitch gang gang gang gang 🔥🤘🏻💀
