Great video, really love it. I'm getting started on a new healthy diet. Is it necessary that you cook this meal without any meat or can you add it? Thank you and a big thumbs up
Hello Jeroen, Glad you liked the video. This is an Indian dessert and it is usually prepared using milk, but in this case I have used plant based milk - we don't add meat to desserts
I tried the first method with semolina and soya milk but the outer layer of my gulab jamuns turned out quite hard making it difficult for sugar syrup to soak in. :( Any tips ?
That's sad, the outlayer should not turn hard at all, but if that's happened, you can use a needle and pierce the gulab jamuns so they can absorb the sugar syrup, and let them rest in sugar syrup for longer time
Have tried the second method before from your older video. It was amazing :) Will try the first method soon. However, I have some questions regarding the first method. 2 bowls of soy milk approximates to how much ml? Or cups? Also 2 bowls of sugar? Im used to cups...
Thanks for the feedback Vishal. The Semolina to milk ratio is 1:2 so 1 cup of semolina and 2 cups of milk. I used approx 150 grams of semolina for the recipe. But if you use cups ratio, it should be alright. Same with Sugar, 2 cups of sugar to 2 cups of water. Let me know if you have further questions
