HASARD
F-35 fighter pilot, previously flew the F-16, including 82 combat missions.
If you're an organization that would like to partner on a video, reach out to hasard@hasardlee(dot)com
All thoughts, opinions, and content do not necessarily reflect those of the Air Force or DOD. All filming personnel were treated as media and escorted by Public Affairs. All footage was approved for public release.
Listening to them strain just to breath in every turn and maneuver shows how much physical stamina and fitness it takes to fly a modern jet.
You have literally made dreams come true for so many of us that didn't make it into that seat.Your storytelling abilties in unbelievable circumstances is beyond description
You're scaring me dude ;-;
LOVE the video! If you're open to feedback, I feel you'd appeal to a much wider audience if you'd provide some simple text overlays of the very basics of what's going on. Even as someone who's flown A2A sims off-and-on for 40 years, it's not always clear in your video who wins, who's shooting who with what munitions flying which type of jets, how many combatants are engaged, etc. Very fun to watch regardless and appreciate the effort and content and work to train our elite forces!
Excellent points. I was thinking the same thing. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but maybe Hasard can recreate these sets in DCS. I believe he partakes on occasion. Then we get the 3D tacview for analysis. It's a great tool.
Yeah lol. I mean the title doesn’t say training… It’s click bait focused anyways. I’m bummed. I was hoping for actual combatants in the dog fight. Or land targets or anything.
This is clips taken from longer videos as a highlight and it says that in the title
Watched the first pilots video the other day and he gave a very detailed breakdown of his entire process as he was fighting defensive and offensive
This video makes it shorter and highlights the exciting parts
@@disherofpainwhere does it say that it’s from a longer video?
@@scrimmothe most intense dogfights of the year
8 minute video with implications of more than two dogfights
I thought expectation was pretty well managed
The one video with details about one dogfight was twenty minutes..
Think about it
Imagine time traveling to medieval times and showing a knight this video and telling him this is what our best knights look like.
so fascinating how much wear goes into the actual pilot. the G forces must be insane.
You can see why they are trying to switch to remotely operated aircraft for a lot of 6th gen fighters. 20g's aint shit for a computer lol
could go as far as material science takes us
Ot at least have several drones working with a single pilot than completely replace. Though yeah the G forces aren't fun by the looks.
@brockgan8941
Man those DCS making it looks so easy, that until you got slapped by those G in the real cockpit.
Meanwhile Ace combat and project wingman
*Bloodless humans*
WT:Hey uuuuh look at the ground seems nice on your new premium jet with an uncrewed slot.
DCS:Hey sooo our pilots are built different.
this is the type of video i would expect from growling sidewinder, the fact that the public can see this for real is absolutely amazing
PS: i loved the book
Thanks for commenting just bought the book, I've read viper pilot by dan hampton, and have been looking for a similar book
Well
It’s just training… No one is dying and the video doesn’t show off the tech and what he sees… or else it probably wouldn’t be allowed until ages from now where the tech is outdated and not a vulnerability to have out there for enemy countries
@Puppy_Puppington being in the military they resent you taking videos of anything especially publicly posting it, sometimes this can lead to punishment, also can vary by command and situation. Just doing a simple f 16 search the only pilot that shows up 98% of the time is right here, he probably had to do a lot of convincing to his command, and his tail is always on the line making these kinds of videos. Also i could be completely wrong and hardly any other pilots likes making videos, but even in the airline industry taking videos is considered highly unprofessional and can get you fired
Absolutely wonderful! I love DCS, growling sidewinder and other channels but this, I love a lot more. It really gets my heart going.
top gun grad in 78…marine f4’s…this is the closet video of what its really like… looking back ovr your shoulder pulling 6, is violent, seemingly endless endurance….
Hasard, it’s so great with you and your fellow pilots have to do for these dogfighting exercises, I love what you do. Keep pushing that throttle. 🎉
Hasard, thank you for all of the content you put out. Vision kept me out of the cockpit and dashed a childhood dream but hey, the Army took me in and I served as a Ranger for 12 years. Next time I'm in Vegas I want a ride! Then again at 6'2 220 I'd need a tub of butter to squeeze into a Viper. Thank you for your service brother and thank you for doing a job that saved my life on too many occasions to count.
Incredible video about how our combat aviators put themselves on the line every day, and let’s be serious about it: even training exercises present an element of danger. I am grateful for the service of all of our men and women who play a part of our national defense. Thank you all who keep us safe, and wishing you safety in all aspects, regardless of whether it is flying, or performing other much needed roles in our military operations.
I was a crew chief on those F16a :) much love and respect from the 116th defenders of the south FSQ! Happy to see my vipers fly on!!!!
Hasard great year vid of BFM! Nice work dude!! Looking forward to the next!!
You make the vids and I will be here to watch em. Wish it was the other way around!! Happy New Year Hasard.
I'd love to see their airspeed and G's pulled. You can hear them struggling to breath when banking etc. Really cool perspective though! It's no wonder why the F-16 is still a force to respect.
if dcs' flight models are somewhat accurate (they are certainly not 100%), the speeds are likely to be around 400-600 knots (f16 best sustained turn rate is around mach .8, 14 degrees per second) and the sustained g's are around 7, though when someone has a big advantage (read: behind the aircraft he is attacking) the speeds likely drop and the g's increase to the limit which is 9 i believe
Coolest channel on youtube! That last fight gave me chills. Thank you all for allowing us to jumpseat with you, and thank you DoD for allowing it!
I launch F-5s for adversary just about every day. I never see what happens in the air. This is too cool to watch knowing that our jets are the bad guys training new pilots. Awesome video.
Hard work, hard fighting. Thanks Hasard.
I like your Fully Functional Sim pit, this DCS looks way more realistic 😆
RTX 8090Ti OC 😅

Love youre Videos, keep it up!
I've been on UA-cam for 12 years........I AM JUST NOW SEEING THIS VIDEO. This is the main video that I've been wanting to see for YEARS. Something like THIS. Hell yeah.
I got your book for Xmas! I am so excited to sit down and read it!
Great video, hearing your laboured talk and breath just adds to the suspense
Beautiful footage!!!
that audible "Lock" must be so satisfying! intense!!
Just bought your book in Taiwan yesterday. I was a viper driver before, what a nice BFM footage!
Hey man I saw your book in the Fort Myers airport last month. Pretty cool to see your work out in the aviation community and at pretty big airport especially. ✈️
tx so much for this
Back ya you Hasard, thank you for all the vids mate ❤❤
Just F*****G AWESOME! Great work Sir, thank you for sharing! 😎😎😎
I just bought your book today Sir I'm super excited. I hope to get it signed one day. Blessings 🙏
wish you a great prosperous year love your content 😃👍
The other day I did a couple races in high speed gokarts and I was out of breath by the last race... Can't imagine what is like to be on a seat of a fighter
Great footage. Im a sailplane instructor and I can tell you in a large competition it feels pretty much like what you showed us......MINUS THE G FORCES 😂. We pull maybe 1.5.. Ive flown in a gaggle of vultures in the mountains and the lookout is pretty much what you have to do, spacial awareness the same, we will die if we hit one ! But nowhere near as physical. I would give my right nut to fly a fast jet.
Awesome footage
Thanks so much for the video
This DCS update looks great
Just for the record. 2 hardest thing in the world to do.. Mentally and physically.. is a Fighter Jet, and an F1 car.
Awesome!
One question, how did you configure your camera to maintained locked at an angle so that when you roll, the camera doesn’t roll with you?
OMG, what an unfriendly environment while doing dog fights. Happy New Year Sir, looking forward to your next podcast.
Hey, Hasard Lee. How does speed affect the rounds fired from the cannon of a jet fighter? Do you have examples?
absolutely awesome 👍
Keep it up Bro.
Stay Safe.
Amazing footage. I spent more time following a bit of dust on my screen than the actual jets lol.
I need more this is very very cool
So impressive.
The ice wall is so beautiful. 🤭
Wow that other pilot is awsome.
He's dominating these guys.
That looks so dangerously fun
Looks and sounds like very, very hard work.
Duhhh?.....ya' think?
F-16’s dog fighting with some little Cherokee in the background asking for VFR flight following. 😂
Sweet! AND intense. And wonder your oppinions of the F-16V/Block70 as a whole.
me and my girl after a small argument:
Bro was damn near dog fighting in space
what you do is awesome man and i cant wait to serve with you man youll be our sky protector hopefully lol
Hell yeah! Love the opfor livery
Si vis pace, para bellum 💪🏻
In your videos would you be able to get the approval for a HUD overlay, or some parameters like altitude/ IAS/ alpha? I see the FCS working at scheduling the leading edge flaps telling some of the story. Can you legally integrate a personal GPS recorder and send it through tacview?
incredible video🎉
Hi, great video. I have a question about the F16. Why it can carry just 6 amraams? I don't understand why it can have triple maveriks in one rack and one amraam. It's not about weight for sure. thanks a lot
Then some beautiful birds boys. Thank you for your service ❤
que gran genio que eres te admiro mucho x todo lo que haces sos tan inteligente y bello dios te bendiga y te siga dando sabiduría para seguir haciendo lo que te gusta 💜💜💜
So when we gettin that sweet sweet f35 footage ;)
What's the ceiling and deck and are you defending or the aggressor?
this is so freakin cool.
Those g’s are almost enough to make me pass out.😊
He seems to corral you into an altitude warning situation sometimes.
I think this video needs Danger Zone playing in the background 😂
I'm gonna watch the next video you put out, I'd love to know if the dog fight was real or practice stuff (ppl sleep I had the volume off) .
I have always had a question with the missile placement on the F-16.
Why is the Sidewinder placed under the wing instead of on the wingtip?
Wouldn’t the Sidewinder have better visibility from the wingtips?
How about efficiency?
On jets newer like the F-18s there isn’t the wingtip AMRAAM option anymore.
I have always wondered why.
On the F-16, putting the AMRAAMs on the wingtips reduces wing flutter compared to having an AIM-9 there. The AMRAAM is heavier, and as such "is more difficult to move around", keeping the wing better in place.
@@huntingfox3351I'm not sure if that's the real reason for it. Normally in an air battle the Amrams would first be used at a distance, so that the wingtips are no longer equipped. 🙄...? For better maneuver performance.?
Just listening you can tell how much harder it is to fly a real F-16 vs. sim, physically.
Well. Yeah.
@@Puppy_Puppington numsayin?
Ya really can’t make a better video than this
This shows how tough fighter pilots are, I couldn’t imagine how exciting and exhausting this is. What’s up @ 3:30 the blue streak in the cloud, camera malfunction?
It was impressive
Thanks for not using red circle. lol
Great video..👀💪👍🙌😎
in 1:38 , i must say i noticed behind your back on the sit the letter "א 017" which is A in hebrew (the first letter of the alphabet *Alef* ) , may i ask , is that an israeli part production? or maybe you are a team fighter with israeli jets training?
Genuine question, do you guys take the aircraft you train in to actual war sorties?
even by US standards, i think it’d be insanity and a huge waste of cash to use some of the latest and greatest jets in the world only for training.
Literally me when playing games with dogfighting *extremely agressive breathing while about to pass out from imaginative Gs*
Pull up Goose! LOL !
what's the utility of dogfighting in the age of stealth drones?
F-16 is cool and attractive.
Fun during drills, but scary AF if that was real.
Wow no missiles
How you could fight against vectoring Flanker ???
Let's always poop before a flight.
After you head into the "merge" do you prefer taking into a "One circle" or "two circle" dogfight?
Test with sukhoi or mig
Where are all of my chair force jokes???????? Do we have any navy top gun dudes out there????? this is the real deal!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing OT/ NELLIS!!!!!! Gasping for air and trying to combat the G forces along with targeting your enemy…. SERIOUS BUSINESS!!!!!! SALUTE, DUDE!!!!!!!!
Ultimate Owl Neck! 🦉
A g readout would b good
Are these top aces f-16s?
Makes my neck hurt just watching 🤣
Obviously not for "panty waists" such as you.
That’s altitude warning would get annoying after about 2 seconds
Bodybuilding highky recommended
Feels ki73 a go right practice or game simulation closed to tge realist thing goodnight flight test simulation??
I thought it was a Top Gun scene. It's identical.
Is this training or irl combat?
In a Cessna 152 once I pulled 2Gs 😏
is this some kind of training footage or real combat?
