I love how everyone complained about the Remake version because the "Sephiroth" part was too late in the song, so here it's literally the *first thing you hear.*
I love how after 10+ phases of fights against Jenova, Whisper Bahamut, and Sephiroth Reborn with their own epic themes, they save the iconic tune for the final battle... like, right after the cutscene at the start, Sephiroth's theme just kicks in and your heart just KNOWS things are about to get brutal once those opening notes begin.
@@LittleAl016 I really didn't like Sephiroth Reborn's theme... The last battle with normal Sephiroth felt more epic because of One Winged Angel, while Sephiroth Reborn wasn't bad at all, but they could improve it putting on a banger
@@gabrielnovais871Obviously that the last battle with normal Sephiroth probably from another universe/future/Advent Children was going to be more epic and climactic than the false Safer Sephiroth Reborn battle theme.
Remember how in Remake, the rendition of One Winged Angel was refered as “One Winged Angel Rebirth” ? And that this game is subtitled Rebirth ? Imagine if this rendition is called “One Winged Angel Reunion”
I'm just waiting for the OST to drop to see what they call this One Winged Angel variant as, and then use that as my guess for the next game cause there's no way it's a coincidence here.
@AceUkiyoGeatsIX The final, final battle with Sephiroth in FFVII part 3 I'm sure will have a more updated and arranged version of the Advent: One-winged angel theme.
Is it just me or was this sephiroth fight decently harder than the one in remake? And I played through hard mode in remake (I’m not saying this one is harder than the hard mode version from remake, but the base level)
This whole game was more difficult than Remake. But yeah, I struggled with Sephiroth the most. Took me a few tries because I failed to DPS check him at the end before Octoslash Prime
@@mingQWERTY I do like that it’s more difficult from a lore perspective, like sephiroth is holding less back when fighting this time when compared to before
@@mingQWERTY Yeah, I also died several times against Sephiroth. Watched a few videos and got some tips. Used element attacks to do pressure. Learned his patterns so I can leverage windows where I can do braver to do more chip damage. Also, that Heartless Angel attack is so cheap which makes your entire party down to 1 HP so you gotta have ATB ready to heal like there’s no tomorrow. Also, that final Octolash prime pretty much will kill Cloud and Aerith and end the fight. Actually, one crazy time, my Cloud and Sephiroth double KO’ed each other and the game was stuck in a loop. Had to reset. lol Anyway, great game.
I'm gonna be real, I LOVE this variant, but after the boss battle music we had in the first one, this feels very underwhelming. Maybe it's just me, but this doesn't feel any more epic or even a battle, but a build up to a battle. Perhaps a first phase or second phase? I don't know. I still love this track, don't get me wrong, it is an awesome addition through and through, but after the intensity that was the first game's final battle, and all the moments that one had, I honestly feel like this was weaker. Not bad, still great, but weaker. It's like when you battled the first forms of Dialga and Palkia in Legends Arceus. That theme is great, but it felt more like a prelude, not a battle theme. So, this was fine, just not my favorite and didn't fit "the end" in my opinion.
I agree that it does feel a bit underwhelming compared to what we got in Remake but it seems like that they decided to go incredibly hard on Jenova Lifeclinger's theme instead of giving us another One Winged Angel, considering the significance of the Jenova battle to the OG's story. Jenova Lifeclinger is also longest single boss in the game as well. While you fight Sephiroth multiple times afterwards, each boss fight is smaller in comparison to Jenova Lifeclinger so to me, Jenova feels like the real final boss in this game and the one deserving of this game's equivalent of One Winged Angel.
I love how everyone complained about the Remake version because the "Sephiroth" part was too late in the song, so here it's literally the *first thing you hear.*
Remake's version of this song was such a tease, it took like 8 minutes to hear "Sephiroth!". In Rebirth they give it to us right away and go hard
I feel like that works since it wasn't THE true Sephiroth fight
I love how after 10+ phases of fights against Jenova, Whisper Bahamut, and Sephiroth Reborn with their own epic themes, they save the iconic tune for the final battle... like, right after the cutscene at the start, Sephiroth's theme just kicks in and your heart just KNOWS things are about to get brutal once those opening notes begin.
I'm just disappointed that a remix of "Birth of a God" didn't play during the fight against Sephiroth Reborn in this game.
@LittleAl016 They are definitely saving it. It's going to be for Sephiroth's true Safer form, me thinks.

They will call it... "One Winged Angel Remake"
One winged angel - Revengeance
@@beastslayer8729bro now I’m imagining One Winged Angel x It Has To Be This Way

I fucking love that final SE-PHI-ROTH! Im so excited for how part 3s version will sound like
Same here.
I also love how pissed he is at Aerith. “This fucking bitch is thwarting me.”
Wow, with how fast paced it is you can feel the intensity of the battle, as if Sephiroth isn’t playing games anymore
Love it

He literally says just before the fight "i must admit i underestimated you"

But it’s sephiroth, you never know if he’s taunting or being serious with that smug expression

I knew it Sephiroth, you are Malenia Blade of Miquella
I love One Winged Angel in its many forms but i think the Remake version was the best one. it was just so damn good
Remake and rebirth are both great with the war drums, piccolo and full orchestration. Has the militaristic bombastic tone come out so well
Those first notes in Remake are insane
Love the subtle guitar they added to this version. It really adds a lot, for me at least.
While its anything but subtle with their hints. Foreshadowing a remake of Advent - One Winged Angel as final boss music.
