Great video. I went to Cozumel in early November. The east side was awesome. You were lucky, our ferry ride was a little rough getting there but worth it.
Great video! I have two questions. 1. What are the current mask requirements in Mexico right now? I assume it is mandatory to wear them inside any establishment but not required if you are out walking, exercising, running and biking in open air. Is this correct? I noticed that not everyone is masked up all the time. 2. I do understand that no covid test is required to enter Mexico at this time but what is currently being discussed there in respect to Vaccination? Is it currently optional, what about the idea of imposing covid passport or certificates? I am just trying to get a general sense of the mood there from people and the authorities. Thanks and keep up the good work! 🙏
Thanks! When it comes to mask usage, it really differs by state. Some states are stricter than others. Quintana Roo is probably the most lax state in Mexico. You are required to wear a mask when you are in a supermarket, bank, government office etc. When it comes to restaurants most people enter with them but then take them off. And outdoors it’s really up to personal discretion. Some people keep them on at all times and some, I’d say most, take them off. Yes you don’t need a COVID test to enter Mexico and the vaccine rollout is very slow here so I’d advise you to get it where you’re from if you can. So far the country does not have any requirements for COVID certificates. Most importantly, you should stay tuned to the news when it comes to lockdowns per state because that might affect your travel plans. For example, there have been warnings recently from the government of Quintana Roo that the state might go into lockdown if COVID cases don’t decrease.
Compared to PDC, the beaches in Cozumel have less people and sargassum. The beaches in Cozumel also differ depending on which part of the island you’re on. On the eastern part which is where I explored, the beaches are more wild and untamed and not preferable for swimming because of the strong currents. The western part of the island has less currents and is better for swimming but has more people.
Great video! I love it!

You mentioned vegan options and the Beyond burger. Are you vegan? Subscribed for more vegan content!
I’m not vegan but I like to eat at a lot of vegan places!
The beaches did not seem so impressive.. at least for the tour you made...
