This cast is super powerful. They all brought their A-game to the show to the point where it’s hard to believe they’re real life people aside their characters.
Ms. Whitfield is an experienced artist of artistic integrity. It's wonderful to hear her description of how she handles creating a real character. It's a pity people are focusing on interpreting how she appears. Sometimes, just showing up for anything else when you do this kind of intensive work is heroic. It takes more out if you than people can imagine. Kudos to the cast and writers that raise the bar on television series quality every week.
Also, Lynn was battling a lot of backlash during this time, she was cast down b/c no1 really knew that she had a bi-racial daughter, being from Baton Rouge, they felt that she sold out. I cannot stand when people have a problem with a black woman choosing a white man, but it is ok the other way around.

But if she was in a more important position..that is.. where seated, and not spoken to last, then she would have been more into the interview, and 'performed' as such. Since h er position in the interview did not reflect her position on the show. She wasn't feeling that at all. She showed she felt like the last leg when she looked distracted and flashed some quick fake smiles to pretend interested.

Talking about how needy she is, always wanting to be seen or prove something..how she was the first to go to college and on to grad school. All good things, but sadly her sharing that shows hints of insecurity. The same insecurities/neediness and annoyances from Charity. Charity annoys the hell out of me lol, was hoping the actress was NOT like the character she plays. Side note: Lynn was definitely not feeling this interview OR maybe she was sick? Her facial expressions were telling....wonder what had antagonized her prior to recording.
