Thank you for sharing your experience, it is a great way to give ideas to other viewers 🌹🌹🌹🌹. A long time ago I used the straw also but I didn't do well with it... A lady in a video that my friend could not understand used bobby pin. I didn't have a bobby pin 😃 so I used a knitting needle and it was much easier - actually first I used the same thickness of the knitting needle as the thickness of the hook, but then I used the thinner knitting needle and that was perfect - it produced really nice bullions 🌹🌹🌹🌹

This is a neat stitch, but I have a hard time watching the way you hold the hook is foreign to me and seems awkward. That said, everyone has their own way and as long as it works for you, keep it up.
