Agree with @n4styplays on some points. Get a "cheap" rwd car and practice somewhere safe. Empty parking lots, closed roads, or the best way is to go for trackdays. In this wet road tires dont wear out too quickly, but this kind of driving defenetly "eats" the car parts real quicker than normal use. :P
Adding to what these guys have said… get a quad. Learn on that and you won’t even have to think in a car, you’ll just have to practice handling the wheel properly.
If the car has limited slip diff, I belive it could work :) However I should need to do other technique to start the drift, because in this vid I use clutch kick. Maybe with weight transfer or brake technique should work with automatic.
@@roadsterdream I slip and slide, and use the handbrake with my open diff in rain conditions only. If it is dry, it is almost impossible to lol. When it snows it's like I have an LSD. I'll have to see where I can buy one so I can change it.

as someone who's never done this nor did any type of performance racing, how does one do this? You make it look so easy! Is it just a matter of stepping the clutch in and giving it gas to break the rear loose?
There are various techniques, to get a car sideways. I personally prefer clutch kick, when you're on the gas, and suddenly step on the clutch for a sec (while your right foot is still on the gas).

I have the lsd comes from the factory. Welded would be better for this king of driving, but I'd like to keep this car on street. With an open diff it would be much harder and much dangerous, so I don't recommend to try it with open diff.
Tires was good old michlein pilot super sports, but wet weather was perfect for some skids. I didn't crash YET :D If someone doing this kind of driving, there is a huge risk to crash, it's true. And for sure, road was closed ;)
@@roadsterdream I've always kept it in the streets where the curb or light pole is the biggest concern lol, I'm afraid of falling into a ditch but man does that look freaking awesome. Happy driving bro 👍

I like the tartan on the seats.

nice channel n great driving skills , you make it look so easy that im gonna try that on my fiat panda 🤣. keep it up my boy

It really is ;)
0:30 Is the Italian drifting version.
What makes it Italian
Road was closed 🤣🤣 well no said the red car
Hey I also drive a manual nc miata! Have you done any mods to make it slide? Or is just a clutch kick?
Suspension was upgraded with a set of ölhins road&track coilover and eibach anti rollbars. And good big clutch kicks for sure ;)
nice skill !
RX-8 shifter?
Yes. Love this shift knob :)
Lsd differential? 1.8 or 2.0?
Factory lsd. And 2.0 :)
what camera setup (camera type and mount) are you using? Do you have it mounted on the original rollbar?
gopro hero6 and I mount it to the factory roll bar with a zip tie style mount.
what's the best way to learn drifting ? And is, with these conditions, consuming a lot of tires ? (loved the video, from France :) )
Get an E36 with bald tires and just go at it in a parking lot with rain, then go do roundabouts. That's it!

Dumb question but do you reckon you could do this with a semi-automatic

What are the seats? Are they covers to have the tartan inserts?
Stock nc seats. Just got renovated with vw golf gtd seat cover. :p
Did this Miata NC have a open diff or LSD? I have an open Diff on mine and was wondering if it would look like his too
It has the factory LSD. Without the LSD I couldn't do this kind of driving
