I promise myself and the world that one day I will be driving through these corners with my woman or a lovely friend in my sports car during our holiday. I'm a 19 years old teen was born in Istanbul now living in Düsseldorf and I believe, that day will come soon or later. You inspired me man! Good Job
A drifting car is a pendulum. When youve got two hairpins one immediately after the other, lift the throttle, let it start to swing the other direction and get back on the throttle. You dont need to initiate for every new corner
A stock MX5 is hard to connect turns because of the low power, soft suspension and short wheelbase, it is possible on flat ground but he is going uphill.
You really should have a spotter car letting you if the road is clear. Could have been a shitty outcome if a car was on any of those blind corners. Besides that nice driving. Let’s keep everyone safe out there.
Bro Nice Driving i feel like we are on the Same level wo i really enjoyed watching you Drive that car. Is it Stock because now i consider buying one too. I currently drive a m235i from 2014. greetings from Germany keep up the great content.
Thanks mate. I have a lot experience with the M235i as well. I would never trade in the great inline six for a MX5. Id rather would invest in a mechanical LSD for the BMW.
@@Drive_Nation Im in America and have the 2.0 grand touring. I installed the stock lsd from the club trim as well as tons of other mods and a tune. I can rev to 7700rmp and have no problem drifting or getting the rear end loose at all. I'm never selling my ND and I'm always surprising people at the track. With a simple adjustment of my rear sway bar I can turn this thing into a track or drift car in 10min. Also my street tune I get 46mpg. I'm convinced this car will go down as a future classic
Hi mate, nice series of videos and nice driving! I have the same car, I have 2 questions for you: 1) How do you initiate the drift for example on a 2nd gear hairpin ? Do you clutch quick, do you simply go full throtle or do you play with the weight transfer on entry ? How much throttle approximatly to maintain the drift ? 2) I will soon have to change the stock tyres (Bridegestone that i don't like). I'm thinking of Michelin PS5 but I am worried that it's too grippy. I like grip but I like to have "fun" sometimes when I want like you! I read that you are using Hankook tires (K127 ?). Is it a good compromise between grip and fun ? Have a good day
Thank you very much, really appreciate. 1) First of all the road was a bit wet. Its nearly impossible to drift the car like this on a complete dry tarmac (too less power). To initiate I rotate the car in the direction of the corner and go full throttle (No clutch kick). As soon as the LSD is locking i try to adapt my throttle position to hold the drift -> example min (3:15) 2) 180bhp and the liniear torque doesnt need PS5s to be honest. With Hankooks or Pirellis you will always have enough grip. Im driving Hankook S1 EVO. My preference for the Miata is always: less grip :)
Hey man, I'm rocking the Pilot Sport 5's on my G184 and can confirm your worries: they are really grippy. They're awesome for fast corners but if you want to drift it's close to impossible, at least in the style of this video (or maybe more skilled drivers than I can still drift them)
Ciao!
@@Drive_Nation yeah it would be safer for sure 😅by the way I think that it will pass many years before I feel so sure that I can do that with low risks 😅we will see ✌️
@Drive_Nation quale modello nello specifico? Ventus S1? Giovedì ritiro la mia..2.0 184 CV, spero di imparare a guidare come te, troppo divertente già solo a guardare, ovviamente tutti i controlli staccati?
Thank you very much. Really appreciate. One of my first cars used to be a MX5 NC. With this one I learned driving and drifting. Started learning on parking lots.
@curtisliddell7486 he's definitely drifting. It'd be a powerslide if he lost it for like just a second, but he's containing the slide for a few seconds
You brought such a huge smile to my face. I’ve been wanting this car for the longest time. I just can’t wait to own it someday
thank you so much! that’s the reason I make these videos
Dude same, mi getting mine in august 🤞😁
Bit frustrating where he couldn't maintain the drift to connect two consecutive corners.
MX5 has too less power for that. I tried several times but no chance.
Amazing how controlled these slides are. Well done!!👌🏼
Thank you!

Go for it man. You will get that sooner or later :)
The time will come
I was born in Brasilien and i also moved to Deutschland, and i cant wait to get this car, aber mann muss Geduld haben, viel Glück

This is pure joy! Amazing drive
What a drive mate, nailed it. You know how to have a Miata. Keep going with this videos bro.
Thank you mate. Many more Videos to come in the future.
Especially on open roads.
sights look beautiful

well the MX-5 has a bit too less power for that doesn’t it ?
exactly !
@LW20007 it's moreso the short wheelbase that makes it more difficult
@@LW20007 184 horses for 980 kilos = 1 on 5 = very reasonable

I have always a passenger who is looking and make sure there is no one around the corner. All save mate. No worries.
Thats why hes not powersliding until he has a clear view of the rest of the corner
go to the circuit, do not use the public road for your plays. Don´t be penniless... @@Drive_Nation
@@Drive_Nation As far as I can tell your passenger is always in the seat so he does not see or know more than you do.
He has very good Spotter eyes. Don’t worry.
Dude, sick Drive!
It was pleasure to watch this :-)
Thank you :)
awesome work!!! Feeding the wheel tells that you are the pro haha
Thanks mate
This looks absolutely beautiful. Where exactly is this road?
In italy. South tyrol
Have you done any modifications to the car or is it completely stock? Nice driving!
Thank you. The car is completely stock.
How often do you need to buy new tires when you do this much?
2 times a year. It’s worth it 😀
@@Drive_Nation appreciate the answer, thx
Is the miata stock or does it have by modifications on it??
100% Stock :)
@@Drive_Nationyou got the best driving skills ive ever seen man

Lovely driving! I didn’t know that nd can use handbrake to j-turn…
Please let me know which tires and brake pads did you use🙏🙏
Handbrake works pretty well. Running Hankooks 205/45/17 with stock brake pads 🙂
@@Drive_Nation thanks😂

Pretty Hard to Drift the 1.5 due to the missing LSD.

@blackspell9890 For drifting with PS5s you need wet conditions. The Miata is a playful car I would always go for less sticky tires 😊

Wet pavement?
Partly wet and partly dry.
Did u use the handbrake for that U-turn?
Yes 👍🏻
Do yo have KPC on or off ?
Traction control is off?
Everything is off, otherwise you can’t drift :)
Spinning out is rather worrying! I thought the car was very controllable
Which tune do you have on ?
Any Suspension?
Tire combo?
The car is 100% stock. Tires are 205/45 R17 Hankook. They slide pretty well. 😊

i own this car myself but i am not able to let it slide like that xD how in the world is it oversteering so easily
Maybe a mix between experience and slippy surface
@Drive_Nation do you dump the clutch or just give it the full throttle in the corner?
Just second gear and Full Throttle. After the car gets sideways, Balance the Throttle.
Stock suspension?
yes everything is stock :)
Do you have shares in tyre company
Something I should consider 😂😂
avevi escluso i controlli?
Non vi è alcun motivo per controlli. La macchina è scoppiata accidentalmente e I’ho salvata per evitare di

Not really drifting, but cool power slides!
kinda hard drifting with only 180hp
