THANK YOU! This video is exactly what I needed. I couldn't force myself to review Biochem for STEP 1 (is my least favorite), but this video helped me to finish my review. It took me an entire day, I would pause in each question before the answer, think of it, review my FA and then continue to the next question. In the end I made a thorough review of my FA biochem chapter in 1 day. Love this type of videos for quick reviews.
@@jameyatesmauriat6116 It depends on where you are at in your study. I organized my study so that I would view each subject 3 times. First pass took me around 8 months, my second pass (which I consider my 100% dedicated to step 1) took me almost 3 months and in my final stretch (2 weeks before my test) I did a "rapid review" of every chapter in First Aid. By this point, I had already finished uworld and I already knew FA pretty well, and this kind of review helped me have some peace knowing that I hadn't forgotten to review anything in FA. Took my test in October and passed. I think these types of videos are really helpful in a final stretch/review phase. It would be naive to think that you could learn everything of biochem in a couple of hours.
Thank you! I had my first aid book open and was going through all of the topics that you discussed in your questions. It forced me to go over all the topics and read first aid thoroughly!
WOW!! Thank you very much, this is a great review. I love that you make it into questions, I learn a lot more that way. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Vegas :)
Please make more 😭😭, could you also potentially add 4-5 answer choices going forward? It would make it even more important to read through your first aid carefully to narrow down your answer choices :)
I think there is a little correction to make Nasal or nail clubing??? Edward syndrome has it all decreased Other than that, thank you for all your help.
I have been watching your video at 1AM from Armenia, and did not expect to see anything on armenian in this video 😂 I thought I am already tired. Greetings from Armenia! ❤️🇦🇲🇦🇲
You are totally totally one hundred percent right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mistake!!!! Will make a comment on the video description now. Thank you so so much!!!!!!!!!!
@@AJmonics Also in Q186, B3 deficiency can be caused by Hartnup! Hartnup is impaired tryptophan absorption, a component in the synthesis of Niacin along with B2 and B6
Hartnup doesn't cause niacin deficiency - it pre-empts the body's ability to ever make niacin in the first place. Carcinoid takes a healthy body and makes it niacin deficient. Terribly worded quesiton
@@AJmonics No but my mother is, she isn't that well versed in using computer devices and she found this quiz to be pretty useful and wanted a print of it so I looked around in your website to try to find a softcopy

Hey great content. Just a suggestion... Please speak a little more clearly n give 2 seconds gap after reading each question so that we can think of an answer
Hellooo i ask question, how i can get certificate usmle in biochemistry, so i gratuate from medical techniqes college branch patjological analyses plssss i want answer
Hey Masoumeh! Thank you! Yes, as you can see, several people have commented the same thing. I noted this error in the details of the video. Thank you for pointing it out as well!!
Can you please read the questions and articulate clearly. A lot of students that I know use these vids to review on the go. And it’s hard to review if you cant understand a word you’re saying.
Honestly man i thought I found a very valuable resource but I'm having difficulty going through this video. Your not pronouncing half of the words n didn't even enable subtitles. I don't think I'm gonna recommend ur channel honestly. It's better to read FA instead. What's the point of making such great content when u can't present it in a proper manner n can't even take feedback from viewers?

M L - you truly made my day. I worked so hard on that video and your comment made it all worth it. Thank you so much!!!
Great that you were able to review it in one day, the info on it is actually huge and moving fast is not a good way to review IMO

I guess you must have been towards the far right on graph?
@@ML-zb7gq hello, great but how many hours a day??
Please make more of these! Reviewed Biochem in 1 day thanks to you.
I am so happy to hear! Thank you Tina
Step 1 in 2 weeks and this is sooo helpful! Great rapid review, thank you! (Also, I was exactly your 1000th like on this video!)
=) Thank you for telling me Shania! I hope you do super well on your exam!
Thank you for this great video! One correction is for Q 157… in trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) all prenatal screening markers are LOW
Thank you Diamond! Yes, I wrote that correction in the video description

That was actually my goal!!! I am so so so happy to hear!!
@@AJmonics Can you make drill questions for each section in the first aid book?!
It was very helpful! I loved the fact that is kinda follows the FA sequence, so it makes easier to review the contents

I love reading comments like this, thank you so so so much
Fantastic job, love these reviews. keep them coming
Thank you so much syriabi for sharing (I apologize for my delayed response - I have been out a lot).

Well done sir ....please please please please cover other subjects also ....love from India 🙏🙏
I am working on it as we speak! Will do immunology next, then pathology.
Based on First Aid, they said in Edwards S. all markers are reduced.
I am aware =) You are the 10th person to comment this. See below. I made a mistake, I apologize.
Have now words to thanks you for this brilliant work thankyousomuch
Really well done biochem review!
Thank you so much!!
Big hug and thank you so much for this.
=) x 1000
Loved the video. Thank you for putting so much efforts.
Can you share the link for other review videos.
I will be making more this month
Goes great following with the first aid, solid review man. Only thing was Edwards which has all markers decreased, not elevated.
That's what I had in mind! (I know, Edwards was corrected by so many students!! so frustrated about that mistake)
Absolutely fantastic.... please make such high yielding videos on other subjects also🙌
Yes! ((Not released yet: check out zap70.com putting together my free question bank. please give feedback!!)

Thank you so much for this video
Please do you have other video for step 1?

Edward syndrome has it all decreased
Other than that, thank you for all your help.
Thank you so much! (yes, many people have commented on the Edwards syndrome mistake. thank you...)
We thank you 🙏and you welcome 🙏
Such an amazing video🔥🙌🙌
Thank you so much!!
I think qn186 the answer is subjective because hartnup leads to lower vit b3 too indirectly

WOW thank you so much. Can you make a video for pharmacology please.
I really really hope to!!!! In the next few months
thank you so much. You helped me a lot with this video.
I am so so so so happy to hear!!!
1 person already commented but First Aid 2023 says Hartnup, Carcinoid, and isoniazid can cause B3 deficiency.
Hartnup- neutral aa uptake deficiency
Carcinoid - increased serotonin synthesis which is from increased utilisation of tryptophan
Inh?
I think there is an error on Q157, Edwards has all lab values lowered according to first aid, unless first aid is wrong which has happened lol
You are totally totally one hundred percent right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mistake!!!! Will make a comment on the video description now. Thank you so so much!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, thank you - I hope to correct in an updated video
Question 186-- doesn't hartnup disease also cause niacin defeciency????
Yes
are these questions found on Qbank of USMLE step1?
