If your playing onstage and looking at a bunch of people there for you and making their day great and believing that you changed millions of peoples life, that's probably why he's smiling
I dunno man, the recent shows where I saw em with Brian and Brad on guitar and bass respectively, they've never sounded so tight. Love their approach to vocals. This lineup crushes too though
I personally think that you should not judge their lineups by the bassist but the other three roles because those changed way less. So the Karl, Dallas, George lineups are the best
Used to listen to: Annihilation of the Wicked (2005) Ithyphallic (2007) Those Whom the Gods Detest (2009) At the Gate of Sethu (2012) What Should Not Be Unearthed (2015) on continuous repeat when I played StartCraft II single player campaign. Some of the best memories of my life. :)
This was recorded in 2010, and it's still one of the best HD quality video and sound live performance I've ever seen! Even on these days metal videos don't have this kind of quality... Hail Nile btw!
This video's place as the most-watched live performance of Lashed to the Slave Stick is well-deserved. Impeccable A/V quality in a venue with great sound.
I'm wearing headphones and wanted to head bang as usual but wanted watch! The first I saw Nile I passed out trying to sing every note. Whoa. Fucking awesome. Thank y'all.
I love your Nile videos because you can see them play, and it is really amazing. And my god, you can see how much they enjoy it. It is uplifting and it makes me happy yet envious as I cannot even muster half of what they do on my air guitar.
Kim Andersen its a bit late to respond, but man all it takes is for you to pick up a guitar and watch one 40 minute video on how to start playing. If you enjoy it and do it everyday you'll be able to play along with nile if you practice enough.
Yeah. That is my point. They are amazing. I am going to see them live in December this year. They are touring with Morbid Angel and Kreator. That is going to be awesome. Nile is probably my favourite band. Their music keeps getting more and more spectacular. Never say better, say spectacular because that is what they are. :)
SO glad they played this in Plymouth the other night, literally the best show I've ever seen. Will definitely travel to see them again! No video does them justice! So much presence without even breaking a sweat!
The opening lick would cause anyone to fail the 'no headbanging challenge'. Up there with Hammer Smashed Face in terms of CANNOT. HELP. BUT. HHHEEEAADDBAANNNGGGG. Fantastic quality video too! And +1 to the fuck yeah, Karl comments. His grin is pretty much the best thing about an already excellent version of Lashed to the Slave Stick
The amount of empty space after Dallas's partway is so fcnk huge. He's great, love his narcotic wasteland, buttt..., in Nile, he was just like a perfect mach as like Hanneman and Kerry
Of all the people I've seen play in this band, since their first album. I miss this dude the most. I think he has the sickest vocals, that fit Nile the best. I've seen many live variations of the band, but even live his vocals were always on point. This was one of the best lineups they've ever had.
The juxtaposition between the most brutally crushing heavy music in existence and the plain honest doofiness of the people playing it is absolutely phenomenal.
You can tell they're really passionate about what they're doing--the way they really play _to_ the audience and smile the whole time. The whole thing seems like a thrill to them.
Man, your sound quality is overninethousand^^ I completely worship Nile, a tad disappointed that I was too young to attend when they came to Sweden recently
2020! Knew of these guys back in the mid 2000s because of Sebek, recently stumbled onto them once again... Being lashed to the slave Stick for not realizing how fucking heavy they are. WOW!!
Sick performance! The sound guys did a great job, I think. Every death metal show I've attended had bad sound issues, due to acoustics and ignorant sound engineers. It never sounds as good live as it does on the album. However, this performance certainly proves that is not always the case. This sounds fucking amazing.
That's Chris Lollis in the clip, though. Jon Vesano played on Annihilation and did some vocals on Darkened Shrines as well. Check out the video for Execration Text!
I love how Karl is playing some of the heaviest riffs but when he's live he is always smiling and having a good time
What doesn’t sound fun about that though? Lol
It sounds like Dimebag if he played death metal.
Karl is a sweetheart of a dude \m/
My favorite par about Karl
@@ricknova1973 Yes he is. Even to douchbags like me. He is the Buddah of metal.
Why is Karl so happy?? This is serious business. Being lashed to a slave stick is no laughing matter.
thecraw311 karl's smile is even more brutal then isis killing peoples throat with knife.
That made me laugh so hard!
If your playing onstage and looking at a bunch of people there for you and making their day great and believing that you changed millions of peoples life, that's probably why he's smiling
😄 Funny! Honestly though the man is doing what he loves and sharing it with the world. That warrants a smile.
What? Hes Fucking happy cause he plays in Fucking Nile 😈!
I love Nile. They have rippin' tunes and Karl always looks like the happiest guy in Death Metal.
Cuz he gets to be fat and play awesome extreme music for a living, id be fat and happy too XD
even my bandmate is as happy as Karl, trust me, no drugs at all. hahaha
Rob Chambers indeed
Rob Chambers yes he does 😋
Thta would be chuck schuldiner
Nile has one of the most crystal clear and crushing guitar tones I have ever heard a death metal band have live
This was the Nile line up that mattered.

I just got done listening their 1998-2005 albums
Starcraft II gang!
This was me as well for other games
Dude you gotta smash black seeds and darkened shrines. Absolute masterpiece albums
This was recorded in 2010, and it's still one of the best HD quality video and sound live performance I've ever seen!
Even on these days metal videos don't have this kind of quality...
Hail Nile btw!
Hail 🤘
The quality of this video is so fucking good.
Steven Mal THE BEST OF ALL! Sometimes it's as good as the album
This video's place as the most-watched live performance of Lashed to the Slave Stick is well-deserved. Impeccable A/V quality in a venue with great sound.
This is one of the best sounding death metal live recordings I've ever heard.
rofl, this is such a badass evil sounding song I was shocked to see they actually look like a right bunch of happy puppies on stage :)
Laurens Hoppe id be thrilled too if i could play this shit
It's all that South Carolina bbq
psychology man
How do they play this live with such unbelievable accuracy. So fucking tight!!
Karl legitimately loves playing his music for people. That's why Nile is so great. Who cares how heavy he is. It's all about the music man.
I keep coming back to this video. I love the riffs and vocals. Who agrees?
Dallas Toler-Wade is the man!!
"'All the radio bullshit will come and go, but the metal is going to stay here''. So freaking true!
The most perfect death metal song ever made imo, and they have alot of bands to contend with.
Its amazing how he’s able to growl and play those kinds of riffs.
Absolutely one of my fave DM tunes of all time. "You shall never again see ra.'
Is there anything on earth more metal.
I'm wearing headphones and wanted to head bang as usual but wanted watch! The first I saw Nile I passed out trying to sing every note. Whoa. Fucking awesome. Thank y'all.
such an evil riff at 2:18, and super creepy that he's smiling lol

@@Objection202 I guess it is a little late to respond, but I never got around to to learn a real guitar, but I improved my air guitar :D
I think i've watched this 200 times. Thanks letthedeathmetalflow, your videos are awesome we all owe you a beer.
I'm sure people fucking died when he said "ANNIHILATION OF THE WICKEEEEEED"
Seriously dude, the way this came out sounded like a fucking brutal sandstorm in the middle of the desert.
One of their best songs! Saw them this week, awesome as usual!
One of their best tunes and it looks like everyone was having a blast.
Yeah. That is my point. They are amazing. I am going to see them live in December this year. They are touring with Morbid Angel and Kreator. That is going to be awesome. Best song off the album \m/

This is one of the most impressive live performances Ive ever seen
Live AND quality? I'm in heaven!
The amount of empty space after Dallas's partway is so fcnk huge. He's great, love his narcotic wasteland, buttt..., in Nile, he was just like a perfect mach as like Hanneman and Kerry
And also one of the best videos I've ever seen.
without a doubt one of the best live metal bands ever \m/
one of the best death metal albums ever made
Glad I’m not the only one that loves this live recording 🤘🤘

They are generating pure Energy 💥🤘🏻
Best death metal band in the world
The juxtaposition between the most brutally crushing heavy music in existence and the plain honest doofiness of the people playing it is absolutely phenomenal.
They create a sonic wave of pure metal with this one. Killer.
During the intro, Dallas sounds and looks like Devin Townsend...
seriously these guys are one of the best I've ver seen live. They are my favorite band.
4:24 Dallas makes the nasty riff face
From time to time i will come here to watch this video.

How good they are live. Awesome!
oh man, i forgot how good this song is.
Dat echo at 2:37
This show looked fucking amazing.
Yo his picking style is intriguing me. Hes almost perpendicular to the strings.
I've known these guys for many years and never understood it. I pick more like Karl.
He's actually playing the double kick with his balls
one of the best songs recorded. ever.
Sanders, Toler-Wade, Kollias will always be the true formula of Nile! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
really good quality man, keep it up!
I LIFT WEIGHTS TO THIS SONG!
Then you must look like Lou Ferrigno.
Really great sound quality bro! I wish I could see them live in person though. :/
discovered this song today during scool
badass song
4:01, Karl looks like a kid in a fucking toy store, just so happy.
that's what I was talking with my bandmate about. man, this guy is goddamn cool as hell. really joyfully he ripped it bro 😁
I love how Karl is just smiling the whole time!
Metal masterpiece

2020! Knew of these guys back in the mid 2000s because of Sebek, recently stumbled onto them once again... Being lashed to the slave Stick for not realizing how fucking heavy they are. WOW!!

The greatest thing is that Dallas wears a Waldrock Shirt!! Great that he supports it when they play in the Europe ;-) he also wore it at GMM 2010 :D
Metal is immortal 🤘🖤
amazing song! amazing band! love it!! :)
That's Chris Lollis in the clip, though. Jon Vesano played on Annihilation and did some vocals on Darkened Shrines as well. Check out the video for Execration Text!

Believe it or not, but for me listening to Nile beats the hell out of any kind of anti-stress meds! :D
Listening to Nile while on opiates is pretty fucking sweet though...in my experience
