This list is incredible. The OG Acqua di Gio is a banger, so is Issey Miyake's L'Eau D'Issey- low-key but absolutely masterful perfumery. Some of my other faves in this "Gentleman" category are Bvlgari's Pour Homme (light, inoffensive, smoothly-blended tea and citrus mix, perfect for everyday use.) Similarly, I'd recommend Chanel's Platinum Egoiste (a clean, metalic scent that cleverly uses various woods as well as lavender and sage to create a timepiece reminiscent of a "barbershop" fragrance- renowned back in the 90s) as an absolute classic for those with a higher budget.
Remember folks- perfumery is an art, a taste, similar to music ; Everybody has their own style, elegance and taste, so I do recommend giving these so called "Gentleman" fragrances out. Somme common issues and complaints I often receive testing and showing these bottles are they are often too quiet and soft, or that they aren't "a man's fragrance" assuming they don't have good silage and/or projection. Now even though these comments are true, they are not the kind to blast away as your loud Dior Sauvage typa scent. Again, a gentleman uses perfume to smell nice, not to be smelt from down the road. This means not drenching yourself in half a bottle of Eros or showing in Spicebomb Extreme. Keep it to yourself, not everybody has to smell you. To really smell like a gentleman, listen to Coco Chanel's advice: "(only) wear perfume wherever she wants to be kissed."

Nice list! I’m afraid I have a lot of negative memories attached to some of these vintage fragrances, so I can’t really enjoy most of them. Drakkar Noir and Cool Water to name a couple.

Great list and excellent descriptions of the fragrances. My favourite classics are Dior Eau Sauvage Extrême, Polo Green and Chanel Allure Homme. I find it difficult to move on from these because they smell so good. I haven't tried some of your recommendations and look forward to sampling them.

When I saw the Thumb I knew I wouldn't like most of the fragrances in the video. Sounds like I don't wanna smell like a Gentleman.
L'eau d'Issey is the only one I like, especially in hot weather. Someone wore it when I was a child, so it's a bit special for me. Also love Yuzu in general so there's that. (And I actually like Lime and Grapefruit too, I'm so surprised I don't like more of these fragrances >
