When my Dad passed away 11 years ago, my Mom gave me his bottle of Tuscany. I still have it and have a sniff every once in a while when I miss him.

z14 was the first fragrance I purchased with my own money 5 or 6 years ago so it'll always have a special place in my heart. Whenever I smell it, I get reminded of my freshman year of high school.

Hey Ash! Just got a bottle of Oscar De La Renta Pour Lui, wow did it surprise me! Once you get over the strong aldehyde opening , it dries down into a beautiful soapy flowery fresh scent that lasts for 8+hrs on the skin! I am 26, and I’ll be rocking this for awhile!
I love, collect & even wear a lot of these old school classic fragrances. I’m a barber, so I wear these to the shop during the day. Great vid Ash, enjoying the new content on Extra!👏🏽

I wore Halston z14 when I was in middle school when it first came out.along with grey flannel and Chaps.
Those are old school scents for sure and Grey Flannel was my favorite in the 80s ! Halston is from the 70s
Z-14 with oakmoss can still be found if you look for the Jeff Gordon sets. While I love the smell, I don't know if I can pull it off in my 30's right now. Alexandria Frags Italian Forest is really nice too.
Smells like coca cola with some greens to me so it could be worn by any age imo
My favorite vintage scent is vintage Habit Rouge EDT. Man, it's incredible. Sweet, complex yet with a strong animalistic vibe. I bought the current EDP and I really don't like it, has a synthetic rubber smell. But the vintage EDT is incomparable. I have back up sprays and splash bottles and wear it all the time. I find it intoxicating.

Two of my favorite old school fragrances are Aramis and the original Polo(or some call it Polo Green).

Tuscany, New West, and Minotaur were my favorites 30 years ago.
I recently purchased Halston 1-12 . It was a coin toss between it and Z-14 . I love old school , oakmoss based fragrances.
That Tuscany is fire I got two bottles for a reason. Someone in the fragrantica comments said it's for cheeky blokes and gang members in London I was impressed even tho I'm not a UK fan

Tuscanny was my first ever expensive frag, but in Aust i have a discounter that sells it for $49 AUD a bottle i found it the day I went and purchased another gem Versace The Dreamer, so came home with 2 great frags for like $90AUD some retailers still sell it for around the $140 AUD mark but i can get Unlimited bottles of it for $49 AuD so its still a great smelling frag, its definitely not a young persons scent they wouldn't appreciate but im 47 and this has been going for over 25yrs. Great memories but its nearly the most cheapie in my collection but its not a cheapie. If you know what I mean.

👍👍👍Along with Bogart Signature, Dunhill for Men, Santos edtc, YSL Pour Homme, Krizia Uomo and Lauder for Men. 🎩 Just gave Oscar Pour Lui another couple of wearings too and was quite surprised how Gilette-shaving-foamy it became in the drydown. Bit different from the OG, but great performance for a modern formulation.
Great video even though it is throw back frags all though be it all trees have roots then branches out. We came along way from ENGLISH LEATHER, Brut, Old Spice, Hai Karate & Members only jackets spoken from a kid from the 70’s -80’s.
Aramis Tuscany was my father's signature, he recently switched to Floris no. 89
You gotta try out some of the stuff by Rogue Perfumery ! Manny Cross makes some really great, high quality old fashioned fragrances like the ones you mentioned in this video
I had the same Halston Jeff Gordon bottle when I was a teenager. I bought it at Walmart for 50% off after Christmas lol. I remember hating Aramis per uomo when I worked at Dillards at the fragrance counter, it was always older mean Italian dudes who bought it. I have grown to like it now that I am older.

my dad still wears Tuscany during the summer! He switches to Trussardi Uomo (the vintage formulation) in the colder months.
Vintage Tuscany is, IMO, one of the best fragrances ever. I started wearing it in the early 90s when I was in my early 20s. Just a sharp, clean, classic scent. I always got compliments when I wore it. Also, if you can get your hands on a bottle of vintage Armani Eau pour Homme, the one with the black base, that stuff is classic as well. I have a bottle with about 10 squirts left. I save it for only those special occasions! Similar to Tuscany but not quite as sharp.

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Tabac, SIR Irisch Moos and SIR Canada Cedar (now discontinued) were the ones I remember from my grandfather (my Dad and Brother both don't wear fragrances).
My first 'Boss scent' was Hugo Boss #1.

You know I still wear the fragrance now and then that I graduated high school with. Lagerfeld classic I still get compliments when I wear it. It just blends well with my body chemistry. What can I say.

Carnation. Yep, that's old school. My wife's favorite scent on me is the original very carnation Royal Copenhagen in the 8oz splash. She likes PDM Carlisle or Herod on me, too, but when she and I are going out somewhere, she wants me to wear the $18 cologne. I get hit with the lavender, cardamom and multiple citrus in the opening, lots of powder and carnation come out in the mid and the barbershop-py honey, tobacco, oakmoss amber sticks around for the rest of the ride. Way more complex than its pricetag. Not my thing, but I can appreciate what it is when I wear it for her.

Jimmie Johnson had Sunoco Burnt Rubber. . At some point Tony Stewart had a tie-in with Old Spice. Danica Patrick was with Avon for a while.
Really the only other driver in NASCAR i can think of is Tony Stewart being sponsored by Old Spice... Carl Edwards was spokesman for 4xt i think it was and Danica Patrick has a perfume called Danica... cool video.
Halston Z14 is from the 70s long before Jeff Gordon was relevant. It was very pricey for its time and was a high end fashion house. Z14 smells awesome this very day the ingredients have changed so its not as potent as before but still smells unique.
I remember Carl Edwards had a Avon scent a few years back.
Disappointed you didn't use Gentleman Original instead of Monsieur. Roja Scandal also has that classic masculine smell to me. Great list 👌
I found a 15ml bottle of stetson untamed that belonged to my older brother a long time ago and love the way it smells but it’s discontinued. Does anyone know of something that would smell similar or give off the same vibe?

My all time favorite is Esencia by Loewe. Unbelievably good if you like classic scents.

I think gen Z is starting to come round to some of the older fragrances as they grew up with parent's wearing fragrances from the 90's and early 00's. As a 43 year old, I still associate old school fragrances with all the middle aged guys at the barber shop who used to cut my hair as a kid in the 80's.

Wish Z-14 did not have the cinnamon. I find it completely unwearable because of how heavy it is on the cinnamon. I've relegated it to a bathroom freshener.

Lol, this reminded me of the first few I used of my dad's, Hugo Boss Number 1, and Calvin Klein Obsession. I still have those but I have a ton of other fragrances now and don't wear them.
