Unlikely. Kris is a great poet, and a writer. Probably this song is just one of his beautiful poems. Perhaps it was inspired by some real situation partly, but I’m pretty sure the story’s fictional.

True story, played out a thousand times already. Rich guy, power hungry, entrenched in work, neglects his wife and family, only to realize that they moved on from him emotionally and physically. Elon, Jeff, Bill, Donald and Arnold… they all built Darby’s Castle.Some of them even more than once.
