Rachael uses Holbein Heavy Body Acrylic Paints on a 16" x 20" Fredrix Red Label Canvas and Dynasty Brushes.

Thank you Luke. She was such a sweet person. She'd really take her coat off and give it to you if you needed it. She was the best. I hate it that she struggled with depression so...broke my heart. I love Naomi! She's so amazing, talented and funny. I grew up with the Judds music. I was tickled to hear you mention art therapy. I started seeing an art therapist two years ago and it is the most effective form of therapy I've ever had! Thanks for sharing with us!❤️
I agree about Naomi! I almost went to school to be an art therapist because I had been seeing in my life how therapeutic making art was for me and how deep, unconscious feelings would emerge. Being an artist and an art therapist are obviously two very different things and I so respect their knowledge and expertise. They really help people and I'm so glad it has helped you. I hope you are also making art on your own since it's so comforting. Thanks for reaching out.
Naomi helped me through so much. It’s heartbreaking to know her struggles but it’s so good to see the joy she had in life despite her circumstances.

I don’t know why, but It helped me go through some grief of my father’s passing from his struggles.

I am heart broken knowing Naomi is no longer in this world. Her death touches home as I lost two brothers to suicide, one to overdose and my son to fentanyl which he never did until he got depressed. My son was a cancer survivor and died a month before covid started. I couldn't see anyone for therapy because I was told being on Medicare I'd be put on a call list when there was an opening and NOBODY else wanted that appointment. This country needs more support for everyone. RIP Naomi.

I just love this. Of course I love Naomi and Wynonna my dad raised me on there music. But i also love the rose you did it is so beauitful Rachael all of your art work truly amazes me. I do paint but I make reborn life like baby dolls and i work mostly with Heat set Paints . But I have worked with painting other stuff as well But this makes me want to try a few roses my self .

This is so much fun to watch you two! You and Naomi work together so well, and Naomi, you will turn into a wonderful artist! When you asked what is our favorite rose, the first thing that came to mind was my absolute favorite rose, the hybrid tea rose called Tropicana which always brings memories of my wedding! When I got married, I wanted to carry red roses, but the florist told me that they photograph blue and he recommended a beautiful new rose, Tropicana, which is a soft red with a touch of coral. When photographed, it is a soft red. I have always loved it!
How great...never heard your rose story before. That's a lovely share. It was great fun to paint with Naomi. I will miss her so much.

I wish I could have helped her in some way. Wish I could have held onto her and loved on her. Although there are 30 years between us, she triggers my maternal instinct. Her story has had a profound affect on me.
