Man I remember the first day of middle school, the day was jam packed and the 8th graders always scared me. There were two 6th grade hallways and I was confused between the two hallways so I skipped first period crying in the bathroom untill a administrator found me and helped me find my class.

For me, instead of it being called a middle school, it was a junior high, still technically middle school since it’s between elementary and high school. We were only assigned lockers for gym class and my god where those things hard to open, taking a few tries in getting the combination right! Somehow there was more drama during that school year than in high school.
Yeah its called junior high for me too. But I don't have any lockers at all.
Fore everything except high school is just called "school"
lol i feel you but this happened to me this year on my first week of being a freshmen. In my 8 the grade class they had assigned us lockers but expected us to supply the locks (gym lockers included) so i bought the non twisty locks which are much simpler. But this year it was a new school and all the lockers had the dial locks pre installed (including gym lockers) and i had to figure out my locker combo which was pre made for me. I had so much trouble with it some random girl i guess saw me in the hallway and must have been like "hey look a freshmen bet u he's gonna struggle with his locker) so she helped me. Turns out to open my locker i have to stop turning the dial just short of the number I'm twisting to lol ( i hope this college essay was cohesive)

I remember my 6th grade days. My campus had TWO buildings. One was called the East Wing, and the other the West Wing. I had THREE classes in the East Wing, so I had to get out of the West Building, and walk OUTDOORS to the East.
It was especially a hassle when these things would happen:
1. Pre-Athletics: I took this class as my 4th period, and there were about 20 other girls in the class. We would all be running to get to the gym in the East Wing. I would come from the WEST WING, because my previous class was in a PORTABLE which was at the BACK of the school.
2. It rained: Every time we crossed the parking lot on a rainy day, we would have to run across if we didn’t have an umbrella.
**We couldn’t really run across the parking lot though, because there was always this one crossing guard who
yelled, “WALK IN THE PARKING LOT!”
It was probably for safety reasons, but hey, tons of people ran and didn’t even get in trouble (I was one of those people).
I might finish this another time, idk.

@@W3EE99 basically 1-5th grade is elementary (kindergarten and pre-k too) and then 6-8th grade are middle school and then 9-12th grade are the hardest and that is high school

One of the most annoying things is that when you go to your next class you have to get there in like the next 30 seconds and the teachers are like “no running!” And they expect us to walk to our class

At my school we started middle school in 5th grade. We picked up our schedule like a week before school started and we were allowed to visit where all the classes were on schedule pick up day. I memorized everything on the schedule: the room numbers, the teachers, the classes, and the period I had each class. I was way too prepared. Luckily the first day worked out perfectly.

I started middle school about 3 weeks ago and I was so nervous but school is very hectic but I found my way. Beside the fact that I don’t go in the other half of the building because I would get lost there! (First day dilemma) and oh yes…. The lockers and assembly. We had so many assembly’s and it was crazy and the lockers got packed when people would be running in every direction and people frantically running to their locker so they wouldn’t be late to the class. The AC. The AC was crazy because in my school the AC is freezing and the teachers keep it on ALL THE TIME.

In 7th grade was when hybrid started and that’s when my life and sanity just crumbled.
In 7th grade there were 2 ways to go for classes the good classes or the “you would rather die then do this” classes. I was unfortunate enough to get the 2nd option while ALL my friends got the good classes. I literally cried when I found out I knew no one
Fast forward several weeks later to mid august and I was actually losing my mind. The amount of work my teachers gave us was absurd I was working 24/7 while my friends who had all the good classes and good teachers were complaining they had to do 3 hours of work a week while online 🙄 I legit wanted to punch my friends when they said they had a lot of hmw. Overtime, I had very VERY bad depression and I was staying up late just trying to do assignments while I just wanted a break. I was having to keep myself from breaking down, and having to work myself all day and night, teaching myself, dealing with depression, not having anyone to talk to, doing online, it was hard for a 7th grader who had no one to talk to about it.
There’s so much I could go on about but this comments already to long but thank you for reading

I remember my first day of middle school; I had gotten braces the day before and my jaw hurt for a week. It was so frustrating but I got through it. At the end of the year, I ended up falling off a ladder and nearly broke my thumb (but that parts not important lol)

this school year (i dont live in america so different stuff) many kids (also its my last and first year there since i joined the school at 8th grade) bought in advance a locker to store their stuff, the thing is it was hard af. my dad bought me a few years ago a small safe to store my money (its still in my room right beside me) it had the same thing but it was bound into the small door of the safe. the safe was easy so i thought helping the others would be easy aswell. but no, i tried helping like 3 kids in just a week and they gave me the code and i still couldnt open it. some even replaced the locks with their own ones. a few didnt even set a lock it was just open. a small amount of those who changed their lock placed the old ones on the small piece of metal which connects the railing to the wall and none of the staff actually did anything about it so it just stays there. that first week was BRUTAL since it was really hard finding friends.

Ive just started 6th Grade and we had the entire Grade Tag and Tug of War with the whole school and each class had fun stations, but on Monday, Yeah that hit hard. This was super relatable. Great Job Horchata! Edit: Yeah we had TWO Assemblies where they had a light show introducing the teachers Everyone was hyped. And I was going from Math to Science while both class are on different floors the stairs connected both of them, But we had ONE WAY Stairs so I had to walk across the school twice instead of going down the stairs next to us, also we werent allowed to bring backpacka feom class to class, And that was a Hassle

I vividly remember my first day of middle school. I lived close enough to the school to ride my bike, but as I was riding my bike, I caught up to 2 8th grade girls. My dumb 6th grade mind thought it would be rude to pass them on my bike, so I rode very slowly all the way to the school behind these 2 girls. And to be honest, I don't think they noticed me.
